Chapter 23
My P.O.V:
I open my eyes as I look to my side to see the time on my alarm clock. Damn, at least today is the weekend. I sit up in my bed as I look back at the work last night on my lower area of my arm. Already there is small scabs where my little amounts of bleeding happen. I sigh to myself as I look out the window of my room. I really don't want to do anything today. I shift myself off my bed as I walk out of my room to see my mom making some breakfast like usual. I look at the sleeve of my pajama as I tug it downwards. My dad nowhere in sight as I simply walk over to my mom. Observing the delicious food she cooks.
"Morning mum..." I say in a tired and slightly broken voice. I hope my voice won't give anything away about me. But then again, I normally sound like this in a daily basis of mornings. She turns her head towards me as she lays a kiss on my cheek. I smile softly as I pull away from her face.
"Morning honey! What are you going to eat for breakfast?" My mom asks me as I simply smile to her. Placing a kiss on her cheek.
"Me? I'll just get some cereal..."
I go into the kitchen as I grab the glass jar full of cereal and then I walk to the refrigerator and I pull out the milk. I place the two items of food down as I then turn around to grab a bowl from the cabinet. I look back over my Should to see its only my mom and I...
'Where's Mehreen these days?'
I think to myself as I craft together my simple breakfast.
Mehreen's P.O.V:
The Werewolf Hunter facility comes into view as I spot a certain grey bat waiting for me. I smile widely as I wave to him.
"Trevor!" I exclaim aloud as Trevor turns his head to my direction and waves back to me. He then starts to run towards me. As he approaches close to me, he wraps his arms around my waist. Lifts me into the air and spins me around in a welcoming way. Trevor finally stops spinning around, leaving the both of us breathless and laughing messes. Trevor...
"Mehreen! Sorry... it felt like a long time since we got to see each other again!" Trevor informs me sincerely. Finally! Trevor's out of that stuttering state! I smile and I nod to him brightly.
"It's fine Trev's! And you got rid of that stuttering!" I point out as I give Trevor a approving smile. Trevor nods to me as his bat ears bend down slightly with shyness all over his face.
"Thanks for noticing...! I've finally been able to get rid of it at last..." Trevor explains to me sheepishly as he scratches the back of his head. Shifting his green goggles out of place. Then he looks back into my brown eyes as he then takes my hand and brings me into the facility without any words. I stumble a little until I regain myself in my walking, "Also! I have something I want to show you!"
Trevor continues to drag me through the facility as I simply follow and stagger behind him. He leads me straight into his dorm as my mind goes crazy with dirty thinking, heat rising to my cheeks as I pray for dear life that nothing lewd is what Trevor wants to show me... Trevor stops to a door as he twists the knob and opens his dorm door as it makes a small squeak. He steps inside as he flicks on the light switch. Making the entire room flare up with the lighting in his dorm. I see on the floor lots of Trevor's clothes along with some weapons lazily on the ground...
"Come inside Mehreen! I'll go get the thing I want to show you!" Trevor exclaims as he disappears into his dorm.
No way in hell I'm going to take my shoes off in here...
Trevor quickly returns back to me as he latches on his shoulder a satchel with something glowing types of blues and greens. He pokes his head around me and out his dorm as he checks to see if someone... ANYONE is around.
"Come on Mehreen!" Trevor whisper informs me as he grabs my hand firmly, enough to keep me right behind him. However, his grip on me is soft enough to not hurt me on purpose. Trevor immediately dashes out of his dorm as I yelp quietly as he pulls me behind him. Damnit! Why is he so good at running so fast without any effort?!
Then again... this is coming from a Werewolf Hunter who's training here for who knows how long?
Out the Werewolf Hunter facility and away from all the other Hunters inside the facility as Trevor leads me through a pathway full of nature and life as beautiful trees and bushes blooming with small flowers on each branch. He continues on as he stops in his tracks and looks back at me with a soft grin.
"We're here Mehreen!" Trevor chimes as I see right in front of me a large field of long grass. Each blade moving with the fresh breeze from the sky. How am I unaware of any of this before!? I blink as I turn to say something to Trevor. Only to see him disappear into the field of grass. The tip of his heart end demon tail also disappears into the grass.
"H-Hey Trevor! Wait up!" I exclaim as I hurry and ty to catch up to him. I see the same strong glow of blues and greens light up in the daytime as I use the glow to find my way back to Trevor... "Trev's? Where are you!?"
"Right over here!~"
I follow his voice as I stop to see a small opening. Leading me straight to Trevor as he waits for me. Still some slight impatience in his eyes. I walk to him as he quickly pulls me closer to him. Serious heat rises to my cheeks as Trevor chuckles innocently as he runs his hands through strands of my hair. I pull away out of instinct as I play with some strands of my own hair with my fingers.
"What's this thing you wanted to show me?"
"Well... can you promise not to tell anyone? Please? Your the only one I trust out of anyone else in the world..." Trevor begs me sincerely as he sticks his hand into the satchel on his shoulder. Cracking open the flap a little to see strong rays of blue and greens springing to life.
I take a deep breath as I stare into his red eyes.
"I promise..." I simply state with a soft smile. Trevor sighs in relief as he finally begins to pull his hand back out of his satchel. The glow grows more brighter as Trevor shows to me... "I-Isn't that!?"
"The antidote that is supposed to cure 'All the Werewolf diseases'? The 'Ending all this Werewolf chaos' antidote? Yes it is..." Trevor finishes my sentence. My mouth hanging open from my mouth as I close it back up. Trevor with a more serious look on his face as my mind is blank with everything. So... Trevor is really the one who?
"Why'd you steal it?! This could end all this Werewolf crap! So... why?"
Trevor sighs in disappointment as something in my heart screams at me to inform someone about Trevor stealing this hard project for an antidote. I snap out of my screaming thoughts as Trevor looks at me with a sad face.
"... Let me guess... going to tell someone huh?"
I stay completely silent as Trevor places a hand over his eyes. Guilt stabs me in the back as Trevor sounds like he's about to cry. Why is Trevor so good at making myself feel bad then make it worse!?
...Wait...
That's laughing?
Trevor glares at me as I yelp in surprise. The antidote still in hand as he takes a glance at the bottle before staring back at me. He places the antidote gently back into his satchel. Before taking a step closer to me.
"God... this place truly is nothing but full of shitty lies huh?"
"What?"
"It's a real shame... after all of this... I would have honestly liked to ask you to be my queen. Too bad that plan had to go to waste..."
Trevor lifts one of his hands into the air as he snaps his fingers surprisingly loud. From a small distance a loud howl is heard as I look over my shoulder to see in the long field of grass something running towards us.
"T-Trevor!? What's this all about!?" I demand in panic as more and more sounds of the grass moving in a unnatural way keeps on moving dangerously closer. Why are there Werewolves here in the DAYTIME!?
"What's this all about? Heh... your really blind..." Trevor simply states out to me as growling is right around us, "I'm the General of the Lunaire pack... I was never loyal to that fucking Werewolf Hunter facility. I only worked there in order to give that information I learned to pass it down to my pack."
I feel every last shard of my heart crack and break into millions of pieces. Trevor...
"You mean... you... never cared about anything we've done together...?"
"Trust me... I've ADORED your company for the longest time... as your the only best friend I have... your GOING to be my queen one way or another," Trevor informs me harshly and strictly as he turns towards the growling circling the both of us as he says aloud, "Make sure she doesn't get away... so tie her up."
Without any warning, over sized Werewolves all pounce around me. As some of them help each other carrying a rope in there mouths. I stare at Trevor who's back is at me as more and more Werewolves appear from the grass. My eyes widen and water out of betrayal as I start to try and struggle out of the over lapping ropes around my body.
"WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS!?" I yell in anger, as tears pour out of my deep dark brown eyes, "I TRUSTED YOU! I THOUGHT YOU HATED WEREWOLVES!"
I stop screaming in anger and mental pain as the large wolves around me are done with tying me down. Trevor turns back around and walks towards me. The Werewolves all line up on each side as Trevor walks through them. I stare at him with hatred as Trevor kneels down to me and lifts my chin up to stare at me.
"Key word... 'I USED to' hate Werewolves. But now... I REALLY admire there power. So... I became the first non-Werewolf General in history. Just keep in mind that I'm not EVER letting you out of my sight," he turns away for a second to look at a single Werewolf in one of the lines, "Knock her out, but don't scratch or bite her."
Trevor releases his hand from my chin as the Werewolf comes over to me as I yell at Trevor 'WHY!?'. A hard object hits the back of my head harshly as I stop speaking as darkness swallows my vision entirely.
".... You... Traitor..."
Trevor's P.O.V:
I hear closely to Mehreen's last words as I sigh. Mehreen WILL learn to embrace all of this like she is with family. She WILL enjoy being queen as we WILL make a child to continue on the Lunaire packs leader tree through the family. I look back at the my Werewolf companion as in her mouth is a wood log big enough to hold in her mouth firmly.
"General Courageux? What should we do with the cat cartoon?" A Werewolf questions me with curiosity. Though to someone normal this sounds nothing more than threatening growls.
"Make sure we keep her captive. Though the Werewolf Hunter facility will notice Mehreen and I gone. But no matter... we have what we need anyways..." I inform my pack as I peek back into my satchel, taking another look at the antidote. I take it out as show it to all my dear Werewolf companions, "Lunaire pack! Get ready for a special time for us in history! Because..."
I smile darkly as the antidote, the power in my hand glows beautiful ocean blues and greens in the bottle.
"A war is to be prepared... FOR THE LUNAIRE PACK WILL NEVER BE DEFEATED!"
