Author's Pov {Continue}

The wolf remains silent, along with his other companions. Everyone was silent but a sniff broke the silence. Everyone turns towards the source of the noise and sees a little pup crying, with his head low, arms at the back, standing there like a soldier. 

Elena frowns and runs over to him, patting his head. He looks up, shocked at the sudden attention given to him. His cheeks turn red as he looks around to see the attention he is getting. 

"Why are you crying?" Elena whispers quietly, her heart hurting as she sees him crying. 

He shook his head, refusing to talk. Elena takes his head and Hunter narrows his eyes. Stefan stiffens, his overprotective side coming to the surface but they didn't comment. 

She takes him to a corner. Hunter takes a step but Amora stops him, narrowing her eyes at him. 

"Let them talk" She whispers. Hunter glares at the kids, "They are touching each other"

Amora rolls her eyes, "They are kids. They are HOLDING hands. Nothing else" . Hunter huffs. 

They talk for a few minutes and Elena bites her lips, her eyes going to the rouges. She motions Anne to come to her and whispers something in her ears. 

Anne's eyes widened at what she had told her. Her expression changes to rage. She stands in front of the rouge who looks at her with a scared expression except the wolf, who is still as confident as ever. 

She points at the rouges and says out loudly, "They killed that kid's parents" Her voice booms around the forest. The boy finally cries out loud and Elena hugs him, cooing at him. 

The Pack stiffens. Are they the ones who killed their members? It's been a month since the attack took place. A few pack members were outside the forest for a fun day but they were attacked by some wolves. There was so much blood, no one survived except the kid who was crying. His parents saved him. He was sitting inside a fucking dustbin, shaking like a leaf. 

He saw the wolves kill his parents. 

The wolf, Elizabeth's mate was about to say something but Elizabeth comes in front of him. She slaps him, hard. The voice echoes around and someone gasps from behind. 

Elizabeth's teary eyes meet his raging eyes, "You killed me people" The wolf growls in anger and Hunter and Stefan take a step, growling at the warning. 

"When I first saw you, I was over the moon. I thought that finally, I would have a mate who would love me and my pack. Care for me and my pack. But if you can kill a kid's parents then I doubt you'll be any different for me" 

"Mate..." The wolf growls possessively. Elizabeth shivers as his voice vibrates through her body. She wished he wasn't her mate. She doesn't want to be affected by a cruel monster. 

"No. I, Elizabeth of-" She was cut off when her mate jumped on her, and hell breaks. 

The rouge moves towards the pack. On instinct, the pack shifts. Elena screams in panic. Noah comes to her but since he was in his wolf form, he couldn't talk to her. He motions the boy and Elena to hide in the house behind. 

Elena shook her head, she was not leaving them behind. However, the boy takes her hand and runs towards the house. 

Elena looks behind to see the fight between the pack. However, she was relived knowing they would win. 

She looks at the determined boy and smiles. He's cute.
