A few Years Ago

"Hahaha and then Elizabeth started crying because she didn't get the ice cream" Noah cackles as the family is settled at the dining table for dinner. Everyone laughs and Elizabeth rolls her eyes, her cheeks turning red at those embarrassing childhood memories. 

"Don't forget the fact that she ignored us for a whole 1 hour!" Anne adds, winking at Elizabeth who huffs in response. 

Elena looks over at Elizabeth and smiles lightly. She knows Elizabeth isn't very fond of her but she still sees her as a sister. The fact that her family accepted it and gave her a new life and that Elizabeth didn't try to kill her for taking her place, she's actually grateful. 

Although Elena is a little girl, she has very good interpersonal and intrapersonal skills. She understands that it's difficult for Elizabeth to adjust to her. 

The ringing of the doorbell snaps Elena out of her thoughts. Stefan stands up to answer the door. A second later, footsteps come inside the dining room. Edward, the Beta of the pack comes in view. 

'Alpha, there's a group of rouge by the border. One of them claims to be Elizabeth's mate" His eyes go to Elizabeth who looks confused. 

Hunter's eyes snaps to Elizabeth, "You didn't tell me that your mate is a rouge" His tone was rough, almost as if he was mad. 

Elizabeth looks at him with teary eyes, "I..I didn't know dad. I just met him once and I left. He's my mate, I was not in my senses" Her chin wobbles. Her mate is a rouge?

Hunter stands up, along with others. Elizabeth moves towards him but Hunter shakes his head, "Sweetie, you stay here. I don't want you to see him" Elizabeth frowns, "But dad, I want to see him"

Amora pats Hunter's shoulder, "Darling, they are mates. Even if he is a rouge." Hunter thinks for a second and looks at Elizabeth who pleases to him with her eyes. 

He sighs and nods, "Okay."

The family goes outside, shifting in their wolf form. The border was far away from their house and the weather was nice so naturally, they wanted to let their wolf be free. Elena pouts, she wishes she could turn into a wolf too. She is jealous when everyone turns wolf except her. Stefan nudges Elena with his nose and she giggles. She sits on his back and hugs him tightly. 

She likes it. She likes to enjoy herself with her family like this even though the situation right now is not very enjoyable. 

The soft feel of fur tickles her skin and makes her smile. She pats him twice, a signal to go on. 

Everyone starts running with Edward hot on their tail with his bike. It took them 5 minutes to arrive at the border where a commotion seemed to have taken place. Hunter moves forward and his family goes behind except Amora who walks beside Hunter. Everyone bows as they pass by. Surprisingly, the rouges were in their wolf form as well. There were around 5 of them. 

One of them growls when his eyes meet Elizabeth's wolf. Her body tingles with excitement as his scent hits him. She felt weird, her body was feeling hot but she tried to control it. Snap out of it, daisy! Elizabeth scolds her wolf. 

"I want my mate" The same wolf growls. 

"You're a rouge" Hunter replies with the same aggression. The wolf bares his teeth in warning, "So what"

"Why were you kicked out of your pack?" Hunter questions. Even thought it's wrong to accept a rouge, he was going to make an exception for his daughter. He doesn't want his daughter to suffer for the rest of her life.

Hello readers! Happy New Year! It's 2025 omg! Time flies ahh, I hope you're doing well. 

My grandfather is fighting for his life, he has cancer which is why I am not really active on wattpad, I am sorry for not updating but we're going through a lot. 

But on a positive note, he's admitted to another hospital and the meds are working. Please pray for him.
