Author's Pov

The sky turned dark blue as Hunter and Elena carefully walked through the thick forest. The air smelled strongly of damp leaves and moss. Ominous clouds gathered above, swirling threateningly. The moon began to rise, casting a silvery light that struggled to break through the growing darkness.

The wind blew strongly through the trees, shaking the leaves and causing them to fall to the ground, where they crunched underfoot. A tense feeling filled the air, warning that rain was coming soon, and it felt almost certain in the heavy atmosphere.

"Are you sure we're going the right way, sweetie?" Hunter questions and Elena nods. 

As they move closer to their destination, Hunter hears the rush of a waterfall. The soft fragrance of earthly mud hints that he is closer to his destination. Elena smiles lightly as the familiar place comes into view. 

She remembered that one time she followed Elizabeth. Elizabeth was sitting there, throwing pebbles, and Elena was silently looking at the moon. She was pretty sure that Elizabeth was aware of her presence. After all, Elizabeth is a wolf; her senses are strong. But she didn't acknowledge Elena, simply letting silence fall over them.

Elena snaps out of the Memory when Hunter snaps his fingers in front of her. She looks at him to see him looking at her with a raised eyebrow, "Is this the place?" He questions, motioning towards the land. 

Elena nods, "Yes daddy. She used to come here often...maybe after that fight she..." Elena trails but stops as tears spring from her eyes. It's her fault. She's the reason behind Elizabeth's death. 

"Hey hey hey babygirl, it's okay. Take a deep breath for daddy, yeah?" Hunter says, crouching to Elena's level and patting her head. 

Elena sniffs and nods, blinking away the tears, "Yes...I am sorry" Hunter nods and moves further. His body becomes tense as soon as he smells Edward; Elizabeth's mate.

His eyes scan the area in search of any clue, he looks around to find several beer cans and packets of chips. He frowns and looks at Elena, only to find her with the same expression. 

This is not right. Something's wrong. Terribly wrong. 

Elena tugs her dad's shirt and he looks at her, "Daddy...We've met Edward once before, but he never came back after that day. He's Her mate. How can we kill her?" She questions her chin wobbles due to the overwhelming emotions. 

Hunter clenches his Jaw at the memory, "He was a forward because his mate wasn't ready to leave him so he got scared and never came back. Somehow found a way to meet her and then" He chokes. He couldn't...it was tough.

Hunter crouches down at the memories, the sweet sweet memories of his daughter that he've lost. He wasn't a good father, he didn't take care of her as he should have. Hunter's eyes become teary, He lost her. 

Elena sniffs and pats her dad, "Daddy, I promise to take revenge on him," She says with a determined look. Hunter shooks his head and looked at her with red eyes, he took her head in between his palms, "He is evil. He killed his own mate, sweetheart. You can't go near him. He is heartless. I can't lose another daughter, I can't" Hunter whispers and kisses her forehead. 

Author's Note

I suck, as a writer. This happened with my previous book too..it happens with all my books. I write and write and then I forget the twist I added in previous chapters. I had to re read the WHOLE book to find out how messy this book is and I am so tired to figure out out to finish it ahh. But anyway, I have thankfully, figured out a thing or two so let's hope it works. 

I am sorry for the late update! I suck I know
