Chapter 26
I heard the gunshot. I felt the knife. And I killed her again. Eclipse's body fell to the ground once again. Tears burned in my eyes, but I held them back. Her body was caught between being human and vampire. One side was pale, with a red eye, and dark dry blood coming from her eye. The clothes on that side still had cracks, but the lava was slowly drying up. Her fang was still there too. On the other side though, she was still human. She still had her green eye, still had her blue streak and lighter brown hair. She of course was still pale, but still held a little more color. I turned my head back to the battle that was still raging. I sprinted to some guards and touched them with my glowing hands. They turned to moon rock, then to dust. I looked to Molly who was surrounded and wounded. Sticking my left hand over in that direction, white spikes came from the ground, impaling every stupid guard over there. I looked over to Shadow who seemed to be fine, sticking spiked into every guard that came close. Looking to Hank, I saw he was doing fine too. Olive was having a bit of a rough time now. I ran over to her and helped her pick apart the crowd surrounding her. Rarin seemed to be doing fine too, poisoning everyone nearby. So I focused on myself. I turned another to dust, whilst some spikes impaled a few more. I felt something brush past my neck, and spun around to see a guard pointing his gun at me. I raised my hand and shot him back, then turned and shot another who was creeping up on me. The amount of guards was very few now, so I used one last power. I jumped into the air and floated there for a minute before I called the moon. A beacon of light came through the ceiling and hit me making my fully white eyes glow a bright light. I stuck my hands out and shot the power towards everyone, knowing that it wouldn't hurt my friends. The entire room glowed a blinding white light. I shut my eyes and focused on killing every guard here. As I was building energy, I realized that I was putting too much in. I couldn't go back though, the room was going to explode. I quickly put a shield over my friends as the light gained a heat to it. The last thing that I could remember, was the loud booming sound you hear when a bomb is dropped.
The next thing I remember is a pain. Everywhere. And..... voices? The pain dulled before stopping completely. I then caught the strange smell of chemicals? Where am I? I opened my eyes to be greeted with a blinding white light.
"Hey sweetie." I heard a familiar voice.... Mum? My eyes adjusted to the light and I saw myself on the floor of a hospital room.
"What the hell?" I muttered, carefully standing up.
"Hey sweetie. Are you ok?" Mum asked, sitting in a chair close by and looking at me.
"Yeah, i'-" I was cut off when I heard a small voice behind me.
"It hurts." I spun around to be greeted with someone laying in a hospital bed. I felt a chill run down my spine as I realized who it was. It was me.. but at a younger age. I turned back around when my mum responded.
"I know it does honey, but it'll get better! Be glad that woman was there to help you." Woman? What? That's when I realized that mum wasn't looking at me, but through me. Walking over to a calendar, I looked to see that it was the same day it had been for the battle. But eleven years earlier. I looked back to the bed with mum and I talking, then realized what was happening. I was in a memory from eleven years earlier. I had woken up in the hospital after Rarin's mother had helped with my hand. But how? Had... had I died? Surely not.. right? It was only when the voices started to blur did I turn back to focus on my mum and I. The voices got quieter and more distant. Looking at my hands, I saw that I was disintegrating.
"Well, goodbye world." I muttered, then closed my eyes. When I opened them again, I was laying in a crater under a full moon.
"You're awake!" I heard someone call, so I looked to my right where the voice had come from. Shadow was sitting there in a bubble, looking a little worriedly at me. Looking around, I saw every one of my friends was in a bubble. Relieved that we were ok, I sighed and lay down again. I snapped my fingers and removed the bubbles from everyone. It was finally done. We had won! And everyone was ok.... well... mostly everyone. Molly went straight for Eclipse whilst Shadow came to me and helped me up. Olive and Hank were hugging and Rarin was sitting by himself. I walked over to him with the help of Shadow and took a seat next to him.
"So... we won." I smiled at him. He looked to me.
"So we did." He sighed and looked to me. "Luna... I-I have something to confess.
"Oh yea?" I raised an eyebrow at him. "What's up?" He took a deep breath.
"I-I have a c-crush on a g-g-girl a-and I w-was wond-dering how t-to te-ell he-er." H stuttered, then looked at the ground. I smiled at him.
"Oh? Who is she?" He took another deep breath and looked back to me.
"I-it's..."
