I woke up in the same void as always. It's been the same routine now for about a week? I'm not sure, it's not like we carry a calendar around with us or anything. My mind has started to wander back to when I was home. Back to the orphanage. Even back to my parents. They were.... they were better than I deserved. I missed them a lot!

Well, maybe you can see them after we complete the task? I growled.

Wait so... what is this... task? I blinked. This voice I haven't heard in my head before. But... it sounded familiar.

Ok then. Who are you? I crossed my arms and smirked at the 'sky' as I heard the breath of whoever in my head catch.

I-'m n-o.ot t-t-telling you. I sighed and shifted my feet.

I- she looked at me and huffed, but sat down on her bed, crossing her arms.

I think that's a yes from Shadow. I paused for dramatic effect. And it's a yes for me.​​​​​​​

Wow great job. Guess we'll be seeing you next time on Whatever game show this is. I laughed and applauded. I heard Ember chuckle.

​​​​​​​JUST MONICA!! I snorted in the middle of my laughs. Shadow was growling and you could pretty much see the steam pouring out of her ears. Ok, I'll stop now. Ember out. I quickly walk over to Shadow to try and calm her down.

You ok there Shadow?

​​​​​​​Yeah, just great. Her voice was dripping with sarcasm.

Listen, I'm sorry for laughing.

​​​​​​​Ok, that's true. Shadow looked down, suddenly sad. 'She's replacing me.' I heard that echoing in my head. I was still in the void, and Shadow hadn't said anything, so I knew she was just thinking it. It must just be because of our 'bond' or whatever. I'm not replacing you Shadow. I murmured to her as I slowly pulled her in for a hug. How about this, I started, still hugging her. I'll go out and tell the others that we're staying in this spot for tonight. That way I can spend tonight with you. I saw her softly smile as she turned and hugged me back.

Thanks Luna. I closed my eyes as we sat there and hugged.
