I made my way through the crowd of people as I looked for my group. "0198476 22! Over here!" I turned as soon as I heard my best friend 8740350 3 call me over. I ran over to her and gave her a hug.

"What do you think your going to get," She asked one we had pulled back.

"Hmm," I thought for a while, thinking of my family's powers. "Maybe... fire?"

"Oh?" She looked back at me, raising an eyebrow. "Any special reason?"

"Well, my mom is fire. So is my grandma, my aunt, my great grandma, and my grandma on my father's side. My sister....." I looked down as I remembered her. 8740350 3 put her hand on my shoulder. I gave her a small smile. "She was fire too."

"And a great one at that!" I heard a voice say from behind me. As a reflex, I put my hand over my shoulder and grabbed the person behind me, before spinning around and punching them. "Aw shit!" This time I recognized the voice. Opening my eyes, I crossed my arms over my chest.

"Don't sneak up on me!"

"Noted"

"Are you ok?" I laughed as one of my friends stood up, his hand on his cheek.

"Fine," he laughed as well.

"So... what do you think you're going to get?" I asked, trying to distract him from the new bruise that was slowly swelling on his cheek.

"Pain meds." He laughed again. "If your talking about powers though... probably poison."

"That can't be for your killer looks." 8740350 3 said, laughing at 5469821 60's reaction.

"Maybe it's for his venomous attitude," I joked making them both laugh.

"So what are YOU getting? He said turning to 8740350 3."

"Me? Oh, I am definitely getting Earth." I turned and looked at her, a little surprised at her answer.

"What about water? I thought that was what you were going for?" Now, it was my turn to raise my eyebrow at her.

"Yeah, but now I think I'm closer to the earth than to water."

"Hello....? Hello? Testing testing!" We all turned as we heard a voice come over the loudspeaker standing a few feet away. "Hello? Ok, hi everyone! Welcome to another Naming Day! If you are participating in Naming Day this year then please head backstage now, as the event will be starting in a few minutes." I turned to 8740350 3 and 5469821 60.

"Well, lets go then!"

"Yeah, best of luck guys!" 8740350 3 said as she turned and started running to her group.

"See ya on stage!" I said to 5469821 60 before running off to join my group backstage. As I approached my teacher looked up from her notes.

"Oh, 0198476 22! Glad you could join us. Everyone here then?" Everyone in my class nodded. "Great!"

We walked into the crowd as they brought 5469821 60's group on. When it was his turn, he stepped forward and kneeled down onto the golden mat. I watched as they sprayed the potion onto his eyes from inside an old febreeze can. When he closed his eyes, my palms became sweaty and I bit my lip. He opened his eyes to reveal purple eyes! Poison. I let go of a breath I never knew I was holding in. The Elder One stepped up to him, kneeled down in front of him, and looked into his eyes. He stared back at her, his purple eyes glistening.

"Rarin," She finally said after a minute. The crowd cheered; I was probably cheering the loudest.

After his class finished, they joined us. Both of us pushed through the crowd until we met in the middle. I hugged him tightly, and he hugged me back equally tightly.

"I'm so glad your ok!" I said into his ear. He pulled back.

"Yeah, I am too." We looked up as 8740350 3's class got up on stage. She was the last one to go. They called her and she stepped forward, full of confidence. She looked to us and smiled, then kneeled down on the gold mat. They sprayed the potion on her, and she closed her eyes. I gripped onto Rarin's shirt, and he held onto me tightly. She opened her eyes, and my world fell to pieces.

Her eyes had had not changed.
