an asteroid will barrel towards earth in a few days.

researchers have managed to pin point the exact time the asteroid is expected to make its approach at 5.10am pacific standard time (1.10pm greenwich mean time zone) on sunday, may 26.

"that translates to 10:10 in the evening here," mingyu mumbles "got any plans, jihoon?"

"i have none. it's a day for rest."

"does he know?"

"not at all."

it's a warm friday night and the two boys are having a conversation at a nearby coffee shop. for the past few days, jihoon and soonyoung have been using up all their time to complete whatever things are included in soonyoung's bucketlist (except for trips to different countries, of course) things may seem rushed and all over the place but jihoon is thankful that soonyoung doesn't mind. in fact, he's happy about everything they've done for the week.

now the skies are turning darker and death is only a few days away.

"jihoon, you do realize that soonyoung will be so scared when the day comes, right?"

"i know that, but it's better than seeing him worry for days. mingyu, he dreamt about the world ending and he couldn't get over it. what more if i tell him the truth?" jihoon asks, "i just want soonyoung to be happy."

"i get your point."

once every few million years, an object large enough to threaten earth's civilisation comes along. astronomers say that occasionally, one or two asteroids will slip through and remind them of the dangers lurking in the depths of space. funny how that's exactly what's happening now. of all years. tough luck, indeed.

"soonyoung told me that when we die, we become stars," jihoon says with a bitter smile on his lips, "i love his mindset. back then i've always thought about black holes when people die but it seems like things are much much different now that i met him."
