CHAPTER 13
"LISA."
Lisa turned around to see Jennie holding a news paper and slumping down on the dining table.
"What's wrong?" Lisa asked while preparing their breakfast.
"I don't think I can last on Earth." Jennie groaned.
Lisa chuckled, "What are you talking about?"
"I can't find a job! I can't pay you. I can't pay for myself. Might as well, just die." She sighed.
"You don't have to pay me, silly! You don't have to worry about living expenses as long as you're with. You can pay me back when I ask you to." Lisa insisted.
Jennie squinted her eyes, "I have a strong feeling I'm not going to like what kind of payback you want from me."
"You can bet that never gonna sweat, ey!" Lisa swayed her hips along with singing that song verse.
"I hate you." Jennie shook her head.
"By the way, here's your first payment." Lisa handed Jennie a paper.
Jennie took it, "What is this? The electric bill?"
"Read it." Lisa shrugged her shoulders.
Jennie looked down at the paper and widened her eyes as soon as she saw the first two words at the top.
Application Form
JKing Gaming Co.
Position: Secretary
"Aren't you the Secretary of the boss of this company?!" Jennie looked at Lisa ridiculously.
Lisa smiled, "I'm resigning today. You can take my place."
"No, in any fucking way I'm going to sign that. That's your job! You love it and you told me you survived because of it!" Jennie slammed the paper back to Lisa.
"Exactly. I survived because of that job. Now, I'm perfectly stable. I want you to have that opportunity to survive too, Jennie. And I'm preparing to go back in Thailand next week or the following week anyways. So, you can have this apartment to yourself. Don't worry, it's fully paid. You'll only have to worry about the water and electric bi-"
"Lisa! What are you talking about? This is so sudden." Jennie face palmed herself.
Lisa smiled at her, "I just told you. I'm settling back in my home country for good. So you can take my place and survive."
"I can't just do that! This is all yours. You worked hard for this position, Lisa." Jennie shook her head.
"I know. But I can't work there anymore." Lisa lowered her head.
"Why?" Jennie asked innocently.
Jennie is indeed, unknowledgable that Taehyung and Jungkook are siblings. She doesn't know and Taehyung seemed like he didn't intend to mention the names of his siblings.
The three brothers never mentioned each others' names in public as they we're too ashamed and felt a huge disgrace of having half siblings and having different fathers.
"I-I'm going home. Don't worry, I'll come visit you guys on one of those holidays." Lisa assured her.
"But-"
"It's okay, Jennie. It's Thailand. My home. I'll be perfectly fine there." Lisa pinched Jennie's dumpling-like cheeks.
Jennie gave up and let out a deep sigh, "You sound so sure. I feel so powerless."
"Whatever." Lisa chuckled at her and continued making breakfast.
After wearing her most presentable office wear, she entered the JKing Gaming Company. Her red prada high heels we're making an echoing sound on the tiled floor up to the elevator.
Employees who walked pass her couldn't take their eyes off at how flawless her skin looks in that pencil cut skirt with a slight just right above her mid thigh.
If looks could kill, she'll probably be the most notorious murderer of the history.
As for Lisa, it was her first time wearing such an appealing office attire. Atleast, that's what she calls it.
She finally arrived at her desk, and immediately felt a burning sensation behind her like someone was glaring at her.
She slowly turned around and immediately saw Jungkook staring at her with hungry lustful eyes in his office through the glass wall.
Lisa smiled and bowed as a greeting.
She immediately took her pad and went inside Jungkook's office to do her last job.
"Goodmorning Mr. Je-"
"It's not a good morning for me when my fiancé walked out in the public dressing like that." Jeon Jungkook immediately stopped her from her warm greeting.
Lisa scoffed, "As far as I can remember, the company has no dress code. And I'm here as your secretary."
"You're my fiancé, Lalisa." Jungkook went to her and held her left hand.
He spread her fingers and suddenly slid a diamond silver ring on her fourth finger.
Lisa's eyes widened, "W-What is this?"
"An engagement ring, my love. You agreed to my proposal, remember?" Jungkook tucked a strand of hair behind her ears that were interrupting Lisa's perfect visual.
Lisa suddenly felt the urge to slap him right this moment but she kept a stern face and forced a smile.
"Thank you." She muttered.
Jungkook stared down at the ring that perfectly fits on the ring finger of the person he wanted to be with ever since the beginning.
He held both her hands and kissed her knuckles. The soft touch of Jungkook's lips made Lisa gulp for some reason.
"You actually have a meeting after 5 minutes." Lisa interrupted and slowly pulled her hands back.
"Really? You're gonna ruin a moment like that with your workaholic ass?" Jungkook raised an eyebrow and gave Lisa a sly smirk.
Lisa scoffed, "I became a workaholic ass because of you, Mr. Jeon."
"Are you trying to blame your boss now?" Jungkook crossed her arms over his chest.
"You we're just portraying that perfect fiancé a while ago and now you're being a boss. I don't think I want to marry a bipolar ass cockhead." Lisa chuckled.
"Whatever, Mrs. Jeon. I'm gonna head out to the meeting now. Meet me here after." Jungkook immediately grabbed his black suit and gave Lisa a short peck on the lips.
"Mrs. What?!" Lisa exclaimed but Jungkook already fled towards his meeting.
That disgusting surname., Lisa thought.
She walked out his office and went to her table. She took out her laptop and started typing her last words for him.
Jungkook just finished presiding a meeting and walked out of the conference room.
"Bring two black coffees in my office. Now." Jungkook told Tzuyu as he walked pass her desk.
"Yes, Mr. Jeon." Tzuyu immediately bowed.
Jungkook soon entered his office, noticing Lisa's absence in her desk. Upon entering, he immediately saw Lisa standing in front of his desk as if she was waiting for him.
Jungkook smiled at the perfect back view of the beauty and immediately wrapped his arms around her, backhugging her and leaving feather light wet kisses on the girl's neck.
Lisa slowly pulled away, "You're here." She muttered.
Jungkook noticed Lisa's irritation towards him so he furrowed his brows in confusion and pulled away from the hug.
"What's wrong?" He worriedly asked her.
Lisa just smiled at him and motioned the bachelor to take a sit.
Jungkook nodded and assumed something interesting is going to happen. But his smile faded when Lisa place a white three fold paper in his desk.
Jungkook looked down and reads the cover, "Resignation Letter."
"What is this?" Jungkook looked at her in confusion.
Lisa smiled at him, "Thank you for hiring me 4 years ago, Mr. Jeon."
"What's the meaning of this Lisa?" Jungkook furrowed his brows at her.
"It has been an honor working for you and being a part of JKing's success." Lisa bowed again.
"Lisa!-"
"I'll see you around, Mr. Jeon." She bid and was about to exit the room when Jungkook held her arm.
"What are you doing?! What are you talking about? What's happening to you?!" Jungkook growled at her.
Lisa pulled her hand back and slapped Jungkook right on his left cheek, causing the latter to step back.
"That's for lying to me." Lisa started.
Jungkook was about to talk when Lisa slapped him again. This time, on his right cheek.
"That's for using my body."
Jungkook didn't talk and just stood there, realizing she found out about the deal between their family.
As for Lisa, she didn't notice she was already tearing up while looking at Jungkook gulty state.
Which angered her more.
She landed one last slap on his face, "And that's for you and your messed up family."
Jungkook felt his chest tightened at Lisa's scorging words. But the beauty couldn't care less and took her engagement ring off.
She threw it on his chest, "I will never marry a liar."
And then she left him, broken and unwanted.
