The gut wrenching scream that escapes your lips as you watch the most horrific scene unveil before you. The culprit turned just in time to catch your cry in your throat as you slam you mouth shut, else, you be discovered. You hide behind your fluffy tower of defence, waiting with bated breath for the final strike, a cry, a scream, the feeling of cold metal against your warm skin while your palms hold on to the ground begging for it to create an exit.

No scream, no gasps, no treading footsteps, nothing. You strain a little harder for even the faint sound of shoes against cold tiles but all you’re left with are the sounds of your racing heart, the sound of your fingers clenching and unclenching. Wait, if you could hear, the killer could probably hear too. Shit. You stilled now, wondering if it was already too late or you might have somehow rescued yourself, albeit, only for a few minutes.

Okay, calm, calm, it’s all in your head, she probably didn’t even see your little doe eyes peeking, probably didn't see your long hazel waves whip down in your haste to hide. Yes, I’m sure she didn’t hear your breath increase with each sweep of one knife against the other. Oh, the sweat dripping down your neck? Don't worry about that! I’m certain she didn’t see the juicy vein just waiting to water her knives once she’s done with her current prey. I’m sure she can barely contain her laughter as you scrambled for your footing at that thought.

"Oh bloody murder!" You scream, as the knife glistened under the beautiful death from the sun, just before it met feathers, kissed skin and drank from the sweet nectar of the chicken’s blood. Oh bloody mother!
