I used to hate this bitch, but I've grown to love them. Especially since they're fun to glitch out and mess with. Anywayyyyyy:
-Going by the wiki and what I personally believe, Hunter is female. I'm comfortable with this idea tbh and I like it
-The "egg sacs" don't have actual eggs. They're false eggs and they're just there to throw off the player/predators. Actual egg sacs wouldn't look like that and have more solid eggs rather than pulsating blob things
-There's a good chance you could befriend Hunter or at least get her to tolerate you enough to not rip your face off. It's a long process requiring food and proving you aren't a threat, mostly by getting rid of anything that could hurt her and showing your hands at all times. After a while, Hunter wouldn't be bothered by you and allow you to approach her at any time. Though one wrong move and there's goes your spleen
-Considering Hunter wasn't human at any point in time (Like Brute and Fiend) and there's notes hinting to her presence before the events of Monstrum, I believe she hitched a ride on the cargo ship and began eating through the cargo/food supplies. She probably created the holes in the cargo area though I'm still up the fence about that
-Which leads me to a question: Where is Hunter when the player is getting chased by Fiend or Brute?
I've made two conclusions and I may be wrong but the first one is that Hunter got off the ship before the events of Monstrums and just isn't present on the ship anymore, which is why you don't see her. Second conclusion is Hunter going "Fuck this" after seeing Brute or Fiend and hiding in the vents the whole time you're playing the session. She's just waiting for you to die or fuck off along with the other monsters so she doesn't have to be bothered by y'all. I need to play the game more to confirm so I'll update this again soon
-The reason why Hunter shakes whenever she stands is because she's either cold or she's struggling to support herself on two legs. Seeing as she mostly moves on all fours (when chasing and traveling to the vents) it might be the second one. I think she really just stands to intimidate the player or see things from a higher elevation, you know for hunting purposes.
-Finally, I believe Hunter is aquatic. Judging from the lack of bones and how she's mostly made of jelly (??? I mean she's sticky??) I'm sure she can withstand high pressure underwater. This is pretty obvious to some because there's no other way She could've gotten on the ship other than somehow sneaking on it when the ship was docked at Hong Kong (according to notes)
