Gina hated road trips with a passion like no other. It made her nauseous to stay in a moving vehicle for too long but seeing as it was an exceptionally very important road trip, she had to persevere. The quest to find her real family, a very delayed quest but who could blame her? She thought like every adoptive child, that their real parents didn't want them and so they gave them up.
The brunette's adoptive parents were like heaven-sent angels and she wouldn't trade them for the world, even after finding whomever she was looking for. She was looking for answers, not some abandoning biological parents.
"I will take the Oreos, too!" Gina added, pointing to the blue and white box behind the cashier with a beaming smile on her face. He nodded, getting her one before she shook her head, "No, the whole box. I mean it is a road trip." She shrugged and he nodded, bending down to get her an unopened box of Oreos.
"Thank you, how much will that be?" She asked, pulling out her black card. He told her the amount of cash and she nodded, putting in her passcode. Gina waited a few seconds before he nodded, handing her her credit card back and the plastic bags of road trip snacks and a phone charger.
The brunette headed back to her SUV with a bright smile on her face she drove down the road a few kilometres before passing the 'Welcome to New Orleans' sign. She sighed, feeling homesick already but persevering nonetheless, driving through the crowded city, hardly. Gina stopped in front of a rather large bar before she took her map out and got out of the car, locking it after her.
She strode in, her heels clicking on the floor as she halted in front of a blonde bartender, "Hey...I was looking for the bayou? And I am absolutely lost."
The blonde bartender smiled lightly, turning the map on the other side before taking the marker from Gina, "It's down left not right."
"Oh, stupid me," Gina shook her head, smiling, "Not that into geography, really. I am Gina, new here. Do you know any close hotels?"
"There's a Palace Royale, next street but it's like super expensive," She stated, her eyes widening slightly, "And there's another motel across the street."
Gina nodded, mumbling a short thank you, "Can I get you anything?"
"I will have coke, thanks....," She ordered, trailing off to look at the blonde's name tag, "Camille."
The blonde bartender shook her head, insisting before she offered the Harrington a coke can, "Oh, it's just Cami."
"Alrighty, Cami."
"So, what are you doing in New Orleans?"
"I am looking for my family, drama and stuff," Gina shrugged, shortening the answer into a believable one.
Cami frowned, "And what would they be doing in the bayou?"
"I don't know...it's what the system said when I asked about any information they had on my parents," Gina rolled her eyes, sipping on the cold coke as Cami knitted her eyebrows, nodding, "How about you? It was obvious that you were reading me. Psychology major?"
"Yep," Cami nodded, adding, "Still learning though, that's why it was obvious."
Gina assured, getting her credit card out of the bag, "Don't worry, I just had a friend in the psychology major. She taught me a few things about body language and facial expressions that's why I knew."
"You guys take cards? I don't have cash."
"We don't, unfortunately, but don't worry. It's on me," Cami brushed it off, shaking her head.
The Harrington smiled, "Thank you, I owe you! Bye, hun!" She excused herself, taking her bag off the counter along with the map before she made her way back to her car with an excited smile on her face.

The brunette stopped her car on the road, realizing that she will have to walk through the woods. Gina cursed her luck, getting a final look at her pair of Louboutins before walking off the road, she grimaced feeling the dirt coat her pair of expensive heels. Refusing to look down at them, she pulled out the map and sighed, looking at where she should go.
She kept moving forward before noticing a van, "Hello! Anyone here?" Gina called out, moving deeper inside and closer to the van before a man got out of the van, raising an eyebrow.
"Who the hell are you?"
"I am Gina, nice to meet you, too."

After introductions were laid aside, Gina was seating on some wooden chair they had that wasn't too dirty, listening to who she now knew as Jackson Kenner, "So, if my birthday is in that bible of yours then that makes me part of you guys' pack?"
"You are keeping up, good," Jackson nodded, opening the book before handing it to her. She kept skimming through all the birthdays, stopping at the last two.
"Wait but there are two girls with my birthday....," She trailed off, pointing at them for him, "So am I Valeria or Andrea?" Gina asked.
"I think you are Hayley's twin sister...," His eyes widened slightly as he assumed, "Take off your shirt."
"Ew, no...dude. No," She backed away from him and he scoffed, shaking his head.
Jackson shook his head, explaining, "Not like that. The Labonairs have a birthmark, if you really are Valeria then you will have it as well."
"Could have been less blunt," She nodded, realizing before she took off her jacket and pulled down her shirt to show her shoulderblade and he nodded, confirming that it was indeed said birthmark. "So I have a twin sister?"
"Yes, you do but she is a hybrid, now. Part vampire, part wolf."
Gina's eyes widened as she nodded along, "Where are my parents? Are they unicorns? Oh, don't tell me, witches? Because apparently, those things exist," She rolled her eyes, shaking her head.
"Witches exist but they are not your parents."
"That's such a bummer."
