Chapter 78

You and Loki slept peacefully in each others' arms until you were rudely awoken the next morning by someone pounding hard on your bedroom door. "Sestrichka, come on, we're going to be late!" Nat yelled through the closed bedroom door. You mewed and curled yourself better into Loki's arms, not wanting to get up. It was rather understandable, you thought.

There was a heavy sigh as the door opened. "You two better be dressed," Nat growled, then paused and reconsidered her words. "Actually whatever, doesn't bother me any," she said with a shrug.

Loki sat up a little, making sure you were properly covered with the blanket. He looked up at Nat. "Good morning, Lady Natasha. How can we help you?" he asked too pleasantly for the hour of the morning.

Nat grinned "I'm stealing your girl, starting now," she reminded Loki. "And you're behaving and not whining or we won't bring you any ice cream," she added before he could open his mouth and start whining at her.

Loki sighed and shook you to wake you, despite how snuggly and cuddly and unhelpful you were in this endeavor. "Come on, love. Time for your day with Lady Natasha," he told you as he tried to wake you. You whimpered and cuddled closer. "I'm going to do a small amount of healing so she will be more up to spending the day with you. I don't want to risk anything," Loki explained to Nat, not wanting to shock her with his magic use.

You managed to sit up slowly since they weren't leaving you alone and were being loud and keeping you awake. So rude of them.

Nat nodded at Loki's words and crossed her arms, waiting less than patiently, leaning against the doorframe. Loki sent a bit of healing magic into you. He didn't want to overdo it, but wanted to make sure you could survive your outing with Nat. He also really didn't want to deal with Nat's wrath. Loki ushered you quickly out of bed, not wanting to deal with Nat's wrath as she was nearly as scary as his mama.

You kissed him softly and left with Nat after you dressed quickly.

You weren't seen again by Loki until that afternoon when Nat had you on her back piggyback, mostly asleep as she carried you into the common room. Loki jumped to his feet to help Nat remove you from her back. "Eventful day, I assume?" he asked gently.

"It was. She did fine until the ice cream place," Nat reassured him as you managed to stand on your own and present him with his ice cream cone.

Loki could see what made you so tired. There was a spell around the ice cream to keep it from melting until you got it home to him. Loki sighed in exasperation. "What did I tell you about using your magic, darling?" he mock-scolded you.

"Your ice cream would have melted," you protested adorably. "And we promised you ice cream,"

"Your health matters more to me than ice cream but thank you dearheart," Loki replied and took the ice cream from you. He took a bite of it and his skin turned blue. You giggled and kissed his blue nose while he ate his ice cream.

When the ice cream was gone, Loki swept you into his arms so he could carry you to bed. "Nat made me see a doctor and then tried to bribe me with ice cream not to whine about it," you whined from where you were curled in Loki's arms.

Loki chuckled. "You should know not to argue with Lady Natasha. Though there isn't much a Midgardian doctor can do..." he said, concerned as to why she was taking you to a Midgardian doctor.

"I'm also raising your original identity from the dead, so play nice," Nat scolded you lightly for teasing. "And there was plenty a Midgardian doctor could do in this case, not that your mother isn't a great healer, but she was focused on more pressing matters..." she reminded Loki.

Loki nodded, accepting her words, though he didn't understand why you'd gone to the doctor. "Thank you, Lady Natasha," that was the safest reaction.

"What the doctor told her isn't for me to share," she added before Loki could ask and Nat went across the room to go kick Bucky's ass at chess.

Loki gave you a questioning look as he carried you back to his room. You nodded that you'd answer it, but you wanted to wait until you had privacy before you did. You smirked up at him. "First Nat had a message for us and I quote: I don't care what the fuck you and boyfriend do, as long as he doesn't hurt you or push you too fast, but no one wants baby Lokis running around," you told him with a bit of teasing in your voice.

Loki looked extremely confused and a bit worried as to where this conversation was going. You laughed at his confusion and got him to finally put you down. You blushed as you continued to explain. "Nat was concerned there might be other issues, since my heart and lungs have had such issues restarting after four years... ergo stupid doctor," you explained, pausing long enough to growl at how much you hated doctors. "Anyway... I told you when we first started dating that I couldn't have children because I was a vampire," you reminded him. You tried to contain your excitement, but couldn't help grinning up at him. "That's no longer the case, if and when we choose, we can now!" you'd slipped automatically to 'we' assuming that your future would be with Loki.

Loki smiled brightly and pulled you into a kiss. "That's amazing, darling!" he told you warmly when the kiss was broken. "Now, you should probably rest a bit before you decide to do anything else today. That must have worn you out, especially using magic,"

You smiled and kissed him again before you moved to curl up in his bed. "That WAS tiring. Nat didn't mean to, but she's exhausting," you murmured.

"That was why I healed you a bit before you went on your little outing. I'll do more later tonight. Rest now, darling," Loki told you warmly and tucked you in. You were out in moments, a warm happy smile on your face.

Loki decided to go back to the common room for a bit while you rested. Nat looked up when he came back in. "Sorry to have worn her out, but I thought we all wanted fair warning. Stark sparked the realization when he called you 'horny' last night," she teased, moving a piece on the chessboard without looking at it.

Loki chuckled when he realized she wasn't even looking at the board. "I understand. I appreciate you taking the precaution,"

Nat gave him an evil grin. "You're the one who gets to deal with the whiny baby when she has her first period in over four years," she informed him cruelly and moved yet another piece without looking at the board.

"Would you at least look at the game when you're beating me. Especially when there's a bet on the line," Bucky growled at her.

Loki laughed at Bucky's response. "I'm curious, what is this bet you two have?" Loki pried.

"If I win she has to get Stark to make some adjustments on this arm," Bucky gestured to his metal arm. He blushed and didn't say what the other half of the bet was.

"And the other side?" Loki asked with glee at annoying his friend.

Nat grinned at Bucky and moved another piece, which Loki noted had her at check. "When I win, he has to kiss me. And it better be a good kiss," Nat replied with a smirk when Bucky refused to answer.

Nat won the match easily. Bucky sighed overly dramatically. "A bet is a bet," he spoke as if his end of the bargain was such a hardship, but winked at Loki, because the damn trickster knew. Bucky pulled Nat out of her chair and wraps his metal arm around her waist, the other brushed her hair back from her face before cradling the back of her head and neck. He leaned down and kissed her gently at first, then kissed her well, just as requested. She was breathless by the time he let her go. "I think my bargain has been fulfilled, little Natal'ka," he told her with a warm smile.

"So it has... James," she replied softly, having given up her usual address of Barnes.

Loki couldn't help smirking at the two knowingly, glad they were finally acting on their feelings after so long.
