Samantha POV
"Why didn't Hannah grab on?" The short brunette girl speaks for the first time, and she sounds like a scared kitten.
"She knows that she cannot enter your house," I say as I release my hold on the people around me.
"What do you mean she can't enter here. The demon wards are only up to around my room." Zack says as he turns towards me. Audrey detaches herself from me and removes herself from the group.
Zack's arm tightens around my waist to keep me standing.
Transporting a lot of people over 10 miles can take a lot of energy out of any unpracticed witch.
"Let's all sit down first though. Zack, can we go into the dining room?" I look up to Zack to see him nod his head as he leads our group to the dining room.
My eyes adjust to the dark house as I lean on the tall man more. Four sets of feet move through the familiar hallways of the house.
We enter the large room and Zack pulls out a chair for me to sit in. Audrey and Blake sit down on either side of me. Zack walks out of the room.
My eyes glance over Audrey, and the young woman is curled up in her chair, avoiding the Alpha's gaze. Her eyes are fixated on the moon-shaped necklace that I gave her to go with her dress. Her eyes are drooping though, she'll be asleep soon.
I then lock eyes with the Alpha, who hasn't taken his eyes off of Audrey until now.
"Which pack do you lead and why were you at the club tonight?" I question him, laying my hands onto the mahogany table.
The Alpha clears his throat before speaking.
"I am Alpha Blake Kaine of the Battle-Born Pack, based in Northern Canada. My pack's water supply was poisoned with an ancient poison. The only cure consists of Alpha's blood, the water from an Echinipsis Tubiflora cactus flower, and Moon Dust." Audrey looks up to Alpha Blake before looking down at her hands again.
"I'm familiar with the cure, but who poisoned the water?" I start to make a mental note about the Alpha, who is looking to be a possible ally. Especially if he and Audrey are mates.
Blake's face hardens, his eyes turn into a glare as he looks out the window.
"The Dark-Moon Clan."
My eyes widen.
"Vulcan is back?" I whisper, memories flash before my eyes.
Back when I was still in college, a group of mages went and hunted down Vulcan, coming back only partly successful.
They hurt him a lot, but he escaped. He hasn't been heard of for a century.
"His clan is completely destroying werewolf packs left and right as they advance through the content. My pack is the only strong one left." Blake's head then snaps to the doorway behind me.
Zack comes in seconds later with three bottles of water.
I mumble a thank you to Zack when he gives me my water after he passes the other two bottles to the Alpha and future Luna.
"Sam?" Audrey says my name and I look at her.
"Yeah?" I ask. Audrey throws her hair behind her shoulder and takes a drink from her water before talking.
"How are you going to get the Moon Dust out of me?" I was about to answer her before I got cut off.
"How did the Moon Dust get inside of you in the first place?" Blake questions.
"My theory is that Audrey was blessed by your Moon Goddess to carry it until it needed to be used. I would say that now is a good time to use it." Audrey nods her head with me, having already discussed this.
"The demon that I got my information from said that the Queen of Hell said that the Blessed One would be at the club tonight," Blake repeats the information that he learned, which causes Zack to speak.
"Why did you say Blessed One?" I look up to the man who stood behind my hair. His blue eyes look troubled as he tries to remember something, or he is seeing a memory.
"For the past month I keep having these dreams that are borderline night terrors. I am following a powerful entity as they travel around. I can't really make out what they're saying, but the words that stand out are Blessed One." Zack runs a hand through his hair before placing it back down on the top of my chair.
I look out the window to try and gather my thoughts, but my head is to scattered.
When I look away from the window, I thought I saw something moving, but it's probably my tired eyes playing tricks on me.
"Zack, how many guest rooms do you have ready?" I ask as I stand up.
"There are two ready." Audrey and Blake stand up too.
"Zack and I will share his room, Blake, you can have one of the pair rooms, Audrey you can have the other."
After I give the instructions, Zack leads us to our rooms and we all split up and get ready to go to bed.
