Samantha's POV
After we ate breakfast, and I filled out the notice form for moving out of the apartment, Audrey and I set out to clean, dance, pack up, and sing till we drop. I took care of packing up my bedroom as Audrey took the kitchen first. My audio system was playing a random mix of music from every age and genre. I pick up my hairbrush off of my vanity and sing into it.
"Tell me what you want, what you really really want," Audrey responds from the kitchen, singing into her mop.
"Oh, I'll tell you what I want, what I really really want." I bop around my room as I throw my tank tops into one box and my shoes in another. Our afternoon continues like this until I get a knock at my door. I finish taping up on of the boxes and set it by the door. I open up the door to see my apartment manager. I watch him as he takes in my almost baren apartment. He then stands tall and holds out my three-day notice paper.
"Miss, I am here to inform you that you still owe us over 1,000 dollars as agreed in the contract. And you've been receiving noise complaints because of the blaring music." As if on cue, Audrey turns the music down a few noticeable clicks.
I set my hand on my black leather skirt-clad hip. The man's eyes quickly rake my fit figure before snapping back up to my face.
"As you already know," I smirk, dragging out the last syllable. "I am leaving in less than three days. And I will get you your money" I pur the last part as I shut the door on him. The look on his flustered face made the smirk on mine get bigger.
My body turns to face Audrey as she stands on top of the counter so that she can take down the stones that I stuck to the wall. The double-sided tape really works.
A buzz then sounds from my back pocket. I pull out my phone to see Hell's phone number.
Got a lead that a lookout for the Battle-Born pack will be in Vegas. You and the girl are coming with me so that we can draw out the dogs. They want the dust. You better be ready on Thursday morning. I'm driving. -Your Queen
I roll my eyes at her text. Hannah has been and always will be narcissistic. She will do whatever it takes to get what she wants (or what she thinks she needs). I reply a quick 10/4 before shoving the phone back in my pocket.
To be honest, I never wanted to go back to Las Vegas, but Zack was a special case. Now I really don't want to go because my old phone was left at Zack's club and it will be my luck that we have to go to Zack's club and I will end up seeing him again. That meeting will be the most awkward thing ever. We stay in one house all week, make out for one night and then I end up leaving. It sounds like some Hallmark movie.
My eyes scan my empty rooms before they land on Audrey. I set her packed up clothes to my witch house along with most of the decorations. Since her clothes are already packed up, I let her wear some of my clothes. She chose a simple yellow spaghetti strap top that is tucked into a pair of dark blue jeans. I have on my matching leather crop top and miniskirt. I just changed to it because we are going shopping.
Audrey crawls down off of the counter and turns towards me. Her hands grace her hips as I put tape on a box.
"Are you ready to go?" She asks, moving past me. My mind has a deja vu, seeing Riley and Audrey doing the same movements.
My mind wants to think that Riley is still alive. Then I take a deep breath and push Riley out of my mind once more. Riley has been dead for years, and she is never coming back.
"Yeah, I'm ready to go." I answer before rushing into my bedroom to grab my purse. Walking into the main room, I pass Audrey as more pain sparks in my heart. Audrey looks up from tying her shoes to look at me.
"I'm going to go to the bathroom first." I say. After locking the door, I do my business and wash my hands.
As I dry my hands on the light blue towel, I look at my reflection in the mirror. Dark circles have made themselves noticeable under my eyes after my restless night plagued with nightmares. Riley and Hannah are fighting to the death, and Zack got caught in the middle while trying to get to me. Dominic holds me back as I watch both of the people that I loved fall to their death before me in the dark void that opened up and sucked them down.
I shake my head and wipe the tears from my face. After washing my face with cold water, I take a deep breath and stand up straight. Time to go shopping.
Audrey looks at me as I walk out of the bathroom, and she opens up the door.
"Are you okay?" She asks in a soft voice.
I then smirk.
"I'm not okay, trust me." Audrey laughs as I quote the song lyric.
Our feet walk in a rhythm on the concrete sidewalks of the city. Many people crowd the streets. With it being 7:30 in the evening, most small businesses are closing shop for the day.
We walked the ten-minute walk into the small clothing boutique. The bell chimes as we walk in, our heals clack against the wooden floor as Audrey follows me to the back of the store.
"Miss Samantha! Oh! It is very good to see you!" Gustave comes out of the back door and welcomes me with a hug.
"It is good to see you too, Gustave." I smile down at the short man. His white teeth are as bright as the white shirt underneath his suit.
"Are we here to trade?" He hums as he looks at both mine and Audrey's outfits.
"Yes, we are. I made your favorite herbal dies and tea bags. But we are going to Las Vegas and Audrey needs a dress, I need some clothes hemmed, some extra cloth, needles, and string too." Gustave smiles as he quickly takes Audrey's hand and guides her to the dresses.
I open up my purse and dig my arm around, trying to find the yarn knit bag that holds the tiny glass bottles filled with the mushed herbs and water. Once my hand makes contact with it, I pull it out and put it on Gustave's marble counter in the back.
About a half an hour later, I get done with gathering all of my material and am looking through the isles, trying to find Audrey and Gustave.
When I find the two, I laugh at the sight. Gustave is holding up two dresses, one is black and the other is purple.
"I don't like the cut dresses though," Audrey says as her cheeks blush.
"I'm keeping her away from red, I know that it's your color. But she refuses to show any skin!" Gustave throws up his hands in frustration and walks back into the dress racks.
"Do I have to show a lot of skin?" Audrey asks me as she looks at herself in the full-length mirrors.
"You don't, just make the dress short. The Vegas heat is a killer." I comfort her as I look at the red dress rack that Gustave threw together for me.
My eyes scan over the colors before they pick out a bright red. I pull the material off the rack but put it back quickly. The dress didn't show any skin. I keep looking, my fingers feel the fabric before aI pull out another bright dress. The dress looks to be tight-fitting, has a scoop neck and has a slit up the side.
I then walk into the changing rooms, switch outfits, and then I smirk once I look in the mirror. The dress is a perfect fit, showing off all of my curves. My stomach pouch is hidden by the synched sides of the dress. Then I take off the dress, hang it back up on the rack, change into my clothes, and walk out of the changing room.
Walking through the store, my eyes scan for Gustave so that I can tell him to add this dress to the tab. Once I find him organizing the shoe aisle he takes the dress off my hands and goes to the front of the store where the rest of my order is.
Once I find Audrey, I walk right over to her. She has on a dark navy blue dress that has a nice sweetheart neck line. The dress hugs her body, stops mid thigh, and yet still leaves plenty of room for imagination.
"How do you like the dress?" I ask her while taking out my phone.
"I don't know. Do you like it?" It takes her a moment to reply.
"Audrey." My mouth moves before I realize. "It doesn't matter if I like the dress, if Donald Trump likes the dress, or if Brie Larson likes the dress. It only matters if you like the dress. You're not wearing it to impress anyone but yourself." I put my hands on Audrey's shoulders.
"So, do you like it or not?" I murmur as I step away from her. Audrey's eyes connect with mine through the mirror after a moment.
"I like it, but it needs some bling." Her fingers trace around her waste.
I look for the belt rack and bring back a sparkly belt. Audrey takes it from my hands and put it on. Now, her outfit is complete.
"Gustave! I'm ready to check out!" I shout as I push Audrey to the changing rooms so that we can get home.

"That was really expensive. Over 1,000 dollars for two dresses!" Audrey exclaims as we walk the sidewalks back to the apartment building.
"What cost the most is the herbs that I ordered, not your dress. Now relax." I hush the young woman.
"You're still mixing potions. Figured as much. Once a witch, always a witch." A discussed sound comes from my throat.
"You bitch." I growl. "Audrey, get into the apartment now. I'll be up soon." My hand guides Audrey to the apartment opening as my eyes narrow at the devil's wife.
"That's not the right way to treat the Blessed one." Hannah sneers after Audrey enters the building.
"Just shut up! What are you doing here?" I glare at the short woman that is leaning against the side of her black and red car.
"I'm here to pick up you two. The deal stayed the same, but I need to scope some things out before hand. We leave asap." The black shades on her face match the black lipstick on her lips and her black hair. Her dimples on her cheek show as her lips drawl into a smirk.
"After Vegas, I'm taking Audrey back to my cabin so that I can figure out what is happening to her, right?"
"If everything goes as planned, then yes. Change into something comfortable. We're driving with a limit of three bathroom breaks." Hannah brushes off the sleeve of her leather jacket and then looks down to a mud speck on her silver jeans. She picks at the mud.
"Hurry up, we don't have all day." Hannah gets into her car.
I then jog into the apartment building and sprint up the stairs to my room for one more hour.
When I burst through the door, I see Audrey already changed into a pair of my black leggings, and a blue and silver tank top. She is packing the rest of the pillows and blankets into boxes for me to send to the cabin.
"I sent our dresses here, grab both of them and throw them into a travel bag. Hannah wants to leave ASAP. I'm going to send all of the large furniture over now." I take off my shoes and toss them to Audrey who throws them into another box.
I start in my bedroom and throw all of the covers and pillows off of my bed. They will get shredded through the transportation process. I hover one hand over the blankets and pillow and move them out to the living room. Then I move both of my hands in a circular motion, bring them together, and a tiny light forms between my palms. I pinch the light between my fingers and place it on my bed. The mattress then starts to glow, and I snap my fingers together. The mattress then disappears. I repeat the process with everything that I own in my house.
An hour later, Audrey and I are walking down the stairs that lead out of the apartment building. Hannah blares the horn at us and I laugh at her. Karma is a bitch.
Audrey climbs into the back seat with our travel bag and a pillow. She gets comfortable as Hannah starts to play low rock music through the speakers.
Las Vegas, here we come.
