Elise Storm. That was your mother's name. She was buried at Xavier's School for the Gifted. She was an X-Men.

You slowly opened your eyes to the morning light that poured through the crack of your blinds. It was still early. You could tell without having to even look at the clock. It was quiet. Extremely quiet. Everyone must still be asleep.

You then felt something shift next to you, followed by someone's breath on your shoulder.

You looked down and found Wanda still asleep with her head on your chest and her arm holding onto your shoulder.

Oh.

Oh.

Right. That happened last night.

Her hair was a bit of a mess but she still looked absolutely beautiful as she slept. She seemed so peaceful.

Wanda: Darling~

Your cheeks grew a bit red as you recalled everything from the night before.

Venom: Morning, kid. What did I missswhatthehellissshappeninghere?!

Y/N: Uh.......morning.

Venom: Isss that Wanda? Did you bang Wanda?! How wassss it? Waasss it awesssome? I bet it wassss. Detailsss, kid. Detailsss.

Where could you even begin? Yeah, it was awesome. Unlike anything you had experienced before. Plus that thing she did with her magic was....yeah, you weren't going to tell Venom all of that.

Venom: Tell me!

You ignored him as Wanda began to stir awake. You watched as she pushed herself up so that she was on her knees rubbing the sleep from her eyes. You also watched as the blanket fell off her.

Venom: wooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAHHHHHH! You lucky sssson of a bitch!

Y/N: Uh...

Wanda looked down at you and noticed your bright red face. She smirked as she leaned down and kissed your cheek.

Wanda: Good morning, darling~

Y/N: G-Good morning. Uh, did you...sleep well?

Wanda smiled a bit more as you sat up the best you could.

Wanda: Of course. Did you?

Y/N: Yeah. I mean, how could I not? Heh.

Venom: Wisssh you weren't sssso fucking awkward, bud.

Wanda wrapped her arms around your neck and pulled you into a kiss which made your eyes grow wide and your face turn even more red. Venom just cheered you on.

Oh, that's her tounge.

Wanda pulled away while you just sat there like the awkward kid you were.

Wanda: Now, what should we do? No one will be awake for a while.

Y/N: Uh...well.....I....I wouldn't mind if we...did what we did...again?

Wanda just laughed to herself as she placed a hand on your chest and gently pushed you back on the bed.

Wanda: Very well.

Venom: YYYYYYYEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS!!!

You laid on your stomach and watched as Wanda sat in the edge of the bed where she was putting her bra on.

Being a super hero was awesome.

Once Wanda had all of her underwear on, she began to get dressed in the clothes she showed up in the night before.

Wanda: So, did you make your decision on what to do?

She looked at you from over her shoulder.

Y/N: Yeah. Actually, I did. I'll need to talk to Widow about it, though. If she'll even talk to me.

Right. Widow might be trying to dodge you after last night.

Wanda: Things will work out on their own. But for now, you should get dressed. We do have others who live here.

You nodded and got out of bed before you walked over to your drawer. You started to get dressed as Wanda tied her hair up into her ponytail.

Y/N: Wait, so...

You turned to her.

Y/N: Are we, like, a thing now?

Wanda: That's your choice. We can be a couple, or we can just be lovers. Or this could be a one time thing if you so wish.

You definitely didn't want this to be a one time thing. But, you also didn't want to be a couple. Maybe being lovers was your best option.

Y/N: Okay. Lovers it is.

You suddenly felt her kiss your cheek before she walked towards your door.

Wanda: Well, go talk to Widow. And remember....

Wanda stopped at the door and turned to you.

Wanda: Confidence is key. Keep your head up.

You nodded and Wanda left your room. When she did, Felicia stepped out of her room still tired. When she heard your door, she looked up expecting to see you. Instead, she found Wanda there.

Her eyes shifted as Wanda walked past her with rosey cheeks and a smile.

Wanda: Good morning, ladies.

Cat watched her walk away before she turned to your door.

You had just finished getting dressed when your door alerted you that someone wanted to come in. Who could that be?

You accepted the request and the door slid open, and Cat walked in.

Y/N: Hm? Oh, morning.

Cat: Morning, Y/N.

Oh. That did not sound friendly at all.

Cat: What was she doing here?

Venom: Ooohhhhh! Busssted.

Y/N: Wanda? She stayed with me last night.

Cat: She stayed here? Just the two of you?

You nodded.

Cat: Did you two....

Y/N: Yeah. We did.

Venom: Honessssty issssn't alwaysss good.

Cat looked at you in both surpise and shock. You were being so up front with her. You weren't even trying to deny anything.

Cat: You're...honest.

Y/N: No point in lying to you. You're my closest friend. Why would I lie to you? Besides, me and her aren't dating.

Cat nervously nodded before she rubbed her neck.

Cat: So, what? What are you two?

Y/N: I think she said lovers. Whatever that means. Anyway, did you see Widow? I need to talk to her.

Cat didn't know what to feel. She wanted to be mad but, could she really be mad? It wasn't like you were obligated to like her. And it wasn't like the two of you were dating. But you knew she loved you. And you were treating this like it was nothing.

Y/N: Cat?

Cat: I didn't see her. Sorry.

You just shrugged.

Y/N: You don't need to apologize. I just wanted to talk to her about my choice.

Cat looked at you.

Cat: What did you pick?

You smiled and poked her forehead.

Y/N: Wouldn't you like to know. Come on, I'll make some breakfast.

You headed for the door as Cat stood there.

The hell was wrong with you?

You ended up making some bacon and eggs while Felicia mindlessly made some toast. Wanda eventually joined you two for breakfast while Viv popped in a bit later.

Of course Nadia was still asleep.

Wanda: Thank you for breakfast.

Y/N: Course. Besides, we can only eat so much cereal.

Everyone nodded in agreement. Though, Cat and Wanda didn't talk to each other, Felicia was happily chatting up a storm with her.

Felicia: This new crepe place opened up down the street. Wanna go later?

Wanda: I would love to.

Felicia: Viv?

Viv: I will accompany you both.

Wanda: We'll have to ask Nadia when she gets here.

Widow: Ask Nadia what?

You all looked up to see Widow walking towards the table in her workout gear with a small towel around her neck.

Felicia: If she wants to go to the crepe shop with us.

Widow: I'm sure she would love to.

She then looked at you.

Venom: Here we go.

Widow: Y/N....

Y/N: I made my choice.

You stood up and walked over to her.

Widow: You did?

You nodded.

Y/N: I'm not joining the X-Men. But, I would like to request a few days off.

Widow: You want to request a few days off? What for?

Y/N: I want to meet the other X-Men. To learn about my mother. I was going to call the Professor later but...I wanted to talk to you first.

Widow looked over to the girls who sat there in anticipation. Widow then turned back to you.

Widow: Why did you want to talk to me first?

You shrugged.

Y/N: Because, you're my fill in mom. I honestly think I would feel better if I had your blessing to do this.

Widow was caught off guard. She thought about it before she reached out and ruffled your hair.

Widow: Go ahead.

You smiled as Widow stopped.

Y/N: Thank you.

Widow: And about yesterday, sorry I was like that. I just....

She looked over at the others who were now staring at her.

Widow: Uh, nevermind. So, who made breakfast?

Venom just chuckled.

Venom: Sssssoftie

You smiled.

Charles: I'm very glad that you chose to visit us. And don't feel bad about not joining us. I understand your connection to your team.

You walked alongside the professor towards the guest room of the mansion. More people were running around today since school was out. You had your bag on your shoulder and Venom was just chilling.

Y/N: Thank you for letting me do this.

Charles: Of course. Now, the others are here if you'd like to...

???: Heads up!

Your senses went off and you quickly caught a stray book before it could hit your head. You heard laughter while the professor sighed.

Charles: Mr. Drake, that is highly inappropriate behavior.

Boy: I just wanted to see what the new guy could do.

New guy? Was he talking about you? Charles just shook his head.

Charles: Y/N, this is Bobby Drake. Iceman.

Bobby: Yo.

You created a ball of fire which made him step back.

Y/N: Yo.

You exhausted the flames and smirked while Bobby laughed.

Bobby: See? He has a sense of humor.

Charles just sighed.

Charles: Of course. Bobby, Y/N here is...

Bobby: Codex's son. I know. Hell, the whole school should know by now.

They did? You looked around and noticed that a few people were staring at you. Awkward.

Venom: Creepsss.

Y/N: Like you're any better.

Charles: I see. I suppose that saves us some trouble. Now then....

???: Bobby, get to the Blackbird. We just got an alert.

You looked down the hall where a man was heading your way.

Charles: Scott, what's the alert?

Scott: Juggernaut. He's rampaging through town. Again.

Charles looked at you and suddenly got an idea.

Charles: I see. Well, in that case, why don't you take Y/N with you?

Scott stopped and looked at you.

Scott: Elise's kid?

You nodded. He held out a hand smiled.

Scott: Name's Scott Summers. Cyclops.

You shook his hand.

Y/N: Nice to meet you, sir.

Scott nodded.

Scott: So, you wanna help the X-Men?

You grinned.

Y/N: Yeah. Who's Juggernaut?

Bobby: Big dude. Magic crystal. Doesn't matter. He goes down just like everyone else. To the blackbird.

Bobby hurried off toward the hangar while the professor took your bag and Scott placed a hand on your shoulder.

Scott: We might have something that fits you in the lockers. What size of clothes do you wear?

You pulled on your gloves again as you followed Scott to the hangar. You were how wearing a yellow and blue leather uniform which was designed to withstand fire, ice, electricity, and mostly every other climate of danger. And your gloves had holes for your claws to pop through.

And of course you had your mask.

Scott: Looking sharp. The others should be ready to go.

You nodded as you spotted the Blackbird. That was a mighty fine jet.

Standing there were some people you had met previously along with a few new faces. Scott walked over to them and got their attention.

Scott: Everyone, you know the drill. Juggernaut is attacking, we need to take him down. Maybe try not to escalate the situation any more.

Laura, the girl with the claws, looked over at you which made you tense up.

Laura: What's he doing here?

Scott: Monster is going to be assisting us on this mission. Some of you had already met him, but for those who haven't, this is Y/N Romanoff. Elise's son.

You bowed your head.

Y/N: It's nice to meet you all. I hope I can be of help to you.

???: Lift your head, child. No one bows here. My name is Jean. It's nice to meet you.

You slowly lifted your head and looked at the others.

???: This kid is the Monster? I thought he would be older. He looks younger than I am.

Scott: He's your age, Lorna.

Lorna: Wait, for real?

Y/N: 15. 16 in the winter.

Lorna: Wow. Wait, Elise was only 25?

Jean: She had him while she was working with the Strikers.

Scott: We can talk on the jet. Everyone, we're heading out.

Everyone started boarding the jet while you stood there for a moment. You got this. No big deal. Just another mission.

The blackbird flew over a wrecked area which made you slightly nervous. Despite fighting a bunch of bad guys already, you never really dealt with one that was this much of a danger to the public.

Bobby: Getting scared?

Kitty: Leave him alone, Bobby.

Laura: If he's this green then he should've stayed back.

Ororo: Now, children. Remember your first mission.

Laura: Yeah, I killed a guy when I was 6. Look at him. He's practically shaking in his boots.

Venom: Kid?

Y/N: You think he's super strong? Or maybe he had some crazy cool power? Oh, maybe he's a wizard. I could practice my magic!

Everyone looked at you as they noticed that you weren't nervous. You were excited.

Bobby: Dude, you alright?

Scott: We're dropping in. Everyone get ready.

Everyone nodded and stood up from their seats. You followed their lead as the bay doors opened and eveeyone rushed out. Oh, free falling? Okay.

You followed them and ignited your feet. It felt good not to burn another pair of shoes. You eventually landed beside everyone else and ducked behind cover.

Scott set the jet on auto pilot and hopped out the back as well.

Scott: Now, everyone watch your backs. We don't know what Juggernaut is up to.

You nodded and heard a loud step. Then another. You peeked over the cover you were behind and spotted him. The Juggernaut.

Logan: Everyone be careful. All it takes is one punch from this guy and you're out of the game. Don't mess this up.

Jean: You hear that, Y/N?

No response. Everyone looked to where you were, only to see a blinking outline of your body.

Samuel: Uh, where did he go?

Everyone looked over the cover and their eyes went wide when they saw you poking the Juggernaut's arm.

Y/N: 'Cuse me, Mr. Juggernaut?

The Juggernaut turned around and spotted you.

Juggernaut: What the hell?

Y/N: Hey! Uh, I'm Monster. Nice to meet you.

Laura: What is that idiot doing?!

Juggernaut: You lost, kid? Can't you see I'm busy here?

Y/N: Yeah, that's what I wanted to talk to you about. What are you doing and why?

Juggernaut looked at you before he crossed his arms.

Juggernaut: I was robbing this bank, see, and these coppers came and started shooting.

Y/N: So you're going on a rampage because the cops were doing their job?

Juggernaut grinned.

Juggernaut: Yep.

Y/N: So, you're a bad guy?

Juggernaut: You bet your ass I'm a bad guy.

Y/N: Alright.

You ignited your fists and smirked.

Y/N: Just checking.

The Juggernaut laughed as he raised his fist and swung down at you. Everyone panicked, but he hit air. You zapped behind him and ignited your hands as a kind of thruster to launch your foot into the back of his head which caused him to slam forward. You rolled to a stop and watched as he pushed himself back up.

Juggernaut: You little shi..ahhh!

Before he could finish his sentence, you delivered a kick to his chest which sent him flying across the street. You zapped behind him before he he could land and punched him up into the air. He flew up and you appeared above him and slammed him back down into the street.

He crashed into the street and you landed gently beside him.

Y/N: You done yet?

Juggernaut: You...little...bastard...

Y/N: Is that a yes or....?

Juggernaut suddenly shot straight up and raised his fist.

Scott: MONSTER!

He swung down but you didn't move. Everyone watched as the ground below you cracked when the Juggernaut's fist made contact.

Lorna: Oh my god.

Illyana: Uh, is he okay?

The Juggernaut grinned, before he realized he could move his fist forward, or back. He found himself struggling as he fist was move to the side, revealing you standing there. His fist was held in place by your hand.

Y/N: Not done. Got it.

You shoved his arm away and swung at his head. Everyone heard the crack as you broke his helmet and dropped him. You stood over his defeated body and looked back at the team.

Your serious expression suddenly turned into a goofy grin as you gave them a thumbs up.

Y/N: He's taken care of!

No one said anything.

Bobby: Dude, what the hell?

You walked out of the team showers with a towel around your waist and a smile on your face.

Y/N: That sure did hit the spot.

Venom: You're an animal, kid. The way you took down that dork today wasss incredible! Good work.

Y/N: Thanks, Ven. That was definitely a cool experience. But, I think I might of overdone it.

Venom: Overdone it? Kid, you didn't do enough. Do some more fire next time. Maybe even a claw or two. I'll ssstart ssscoring you on presssentation.

Y/N: Got it, buddy.

Lorna: Do you just talk to yourself?

You jumped at the voice and turned towards one of the lockers where you found Lorna getting dressed. Like, as in she was still putting clothes on.

You quickly turned around with a red face.

Y/N: Sorry! I didn't know there was someone in here!

Lorna: Dude, chill. If you're gonna be using this locker room, be prepared to see stuff.

Y/N: But...

Lorna: We all change together. Anyway, you didn't answer my question.

Y/N: Oh, uh, no. I don't talk to myself. I, uh, got this space thing attached to me. His name is Venom.

Venom appeared on your shoulder and did a mock hat tip.

Venom: Hello.

Lorna looked at Venom for a moment.

Lorna: I know I said to get comfortable with the changing room, but I didn't mean to stare.

Venom: C cupsss.

You swatted Venom who returned to your shoulder. You slowly turned back around but refused to look at her until she had some more clothes on.

Lorna: So, good work today. I've never seen anyone take the Juggernaut down that fast before. And alone? Dude, that was cool.

Lorna finally pulled on her shirt and you were able to look at her.

Y/N: Thanks. Sorry I kinda stole the shoe.

Lorna: It's no big deal. Besides, Scott always tells us the most important thing is to do the mission. Or whatever it is he says. I dunno. His lectures are just like, snore!

You laughed a bit.

Y/N: Yeah. Widow can be like that too.

Lorna smiled before she playfully punched your shoulder.

Lorna: Well get dressed. You're going to the bonfire, right?

Y/N: Bonfire?

Lorna: Yeah. Sometimes us students sneak out and have a party out in the woods. I'm pretty sure the professor knows but he doesn't ever say anything.

A party? That sounds...fun? You never actually been to a party before.

Y/N: Sure.

Lorna: Cool. I'll swing by your room later to get you. See you then.

She waved and walked away. You smiled a bit before you walked over to your locker to get dressed. You dropped your towel on the bench and started to get dressed.

Venom: Sssshe'sss hot.

Y/N: You say that about everyone.

Venom: Am I wrong?

You just rolled your eyes as you got dressed.
