Nandini came out of icu taking haste steps as she was looking at the ground she just wanted to go away from manik's room....his silence was haunting her..... she was walking when she bumped on someone......she raised her head to find yash murthy looking at her with pain in his eyes.....pain for her daughter......he looked at her white face and caressed her cheek b4 hugging her by side......he rubbed her shoulder waiting for her to cry to mourn over the situation to tell him her sorrows but nothing like that happened.....she quietly disconnected herself from him and sat on a bench......leaning forward she locked her hands at the edges of bench with her foot tapping the ground in agitation......yash moved towards her and sat beside her....he was just stealing glances at her time to time checking whether she was okay or not.....he clearly knew she wasn't but then still he had no words with whom he could console her.....and at that time he badly missed Nandini's mother.....would she be there nandini might have shared her pain with her mother easily...tears pooled at the corner of his eyes but he drank them for her and looked at her as his two fingers of right hand travelled to tuck her hair behind her ear.....it made her look up at him......he could see pain lingering in her eyes....

Dont do this nandini yash said as he saw her looking at the icu with hollow eyes not uttering a single word about her pain....not shedding a single tear.....he wished that she would cry....cry so much that it would become difficult for him to handle bcz that would be much better than her deadly silence...meanwhile aliya signalled everyone that she was going towards nandini and aryaman followed her......seeing both of them coming nandini got up knowing that they would brought up the matter of manik's condition and even the thought was like stabbing her from inside

M Going to complete the documentation she said without meeting her gaze to all three of them

Kyon Kia hua she asked and no one knew how to answer her......her calmness was scaring them

Manik is in coma aryaman spoke the harsh reality

Cabir on the other side was standing at the lone corner of hospital garden.....he was rubbing his red eyes time to time to prevent the tears from coming out of his eyes and in that effort his eyes turned blood red.... with a final rub on his eyes he looked at the sky to control himself from crying but it seemed that no one was ready to give him a break.....his mind started a chain of his and manik moments from their childhood....how they became frnds....how from fighting with eachother they started fighting for eachother....from sharing food together to sharing sorrows and griefs without other person realising it...celebrating happiest and sharing darkest moments together.....to act like a shield protecting other from every bad.....their relationship was not of buddies only , they could sense what was going on in other's people mind by literally a single glance.....they knew each and every single detail of each other's life......

Yaar theek hoja manik his voice felt heavy as he mumbled and few tears rolled down his eyes.....he was behind manik 24/7 teasing and irritating him to death bcz he had never learned to live without him

Nhi hoga mere se akele his head hung low as he let tears come out.....from the start he was acting all strong with the hope that it will be okay.....he will be fine smiling at him but it didnt happen as such.....the news of manik in coma broke him and there he was standing there shedding tears.....he raised his one hand and looked at the pendant which manik had handed him at his last moments b4 losing consciousness......it was also Stained with his blood....cabir sighed loudly as he admitted that he wasnt that brave...

Manik's words echoed in his ears and he sniffed composing himself okay stupid, I will but not for long.....come back soon and handle ur stuff on ur own he made an angry comment as if manik were present right infront of him

Nyonika opened her eyes only to find an empty room.....her eyes roamed around to look out of room thru glass window hoping someone would be present outside for her but her hopes died when she couldn't find any face let alone a familiar one.....she sighed closing her eyes but then her eyes snapped open in the next very moment as she realized that manik was also injured severely

Manikkk she spoke with laborious breath and the realization of her son in pain made her restless....stifling a moan as she pulled the needle out of her bruised skin , hastily she put her feet on ground and strode towards the door....at that moment she forgot about her body aches the only thing she wanted was to heat that manik was okay...clueless of where he was and whether he was in the same hospital or not she ran towards the counter

Can u plzz tell me about the patient named manik malhotra she came straight to the point....her voice was quivering and she placed fingers on her lips so that noone could see them shivering

Mam r u okay the receptionist asked looking at her pale face

Manik...manik malhotra She twisted her fingers badly in agitation as she looked at the computer....the receptionist understood her pain and quietly started working on screen....in next few seconds the screen showed the case who was the most hyped up case from yesterday

Go straight and then turn left after peads ward.....go straight and then the right most corner of building is icu ward and ur patient's room number is 14 she passed a smile to comfort her a little but it didnt help as nyonika hurriedly stormed from there

Soon she was right infront of icu ward.....wiping the nonexistent sweats off her face she tried to lift her leg to enter the ward but a spell of dizziness swept her feet off the ground and to support herself she took support of wall as different bad thoughts came across her mind

She took a minute to compose herself and entered the ward and headed straight twists the private rooms and to room number 14....as she approached near she came across some familiar faces of manik's frnds and his wife......soon they all got alerted and looked at her astonished of her presence there......nyonika felt so ashamed and lowered her eyes unable to meet it their gaze which were asking them thousands of answers of why she did that with manik......hugging her torso by her arms she moved further towards manik's room taking slow steps.....

On the other side nandini whose eyes filled with anger seeing nyonika as his bruised body came infront of her eyes......her mind screamed blaming nyonika of his condition HER HUSBAND AND STEP SON did it....manik was on death bed bcz of her only and what was she doing there after ruining everything...where was she when her son was begging for her attention and time...she took fast steps to reach near nyonika and grabbed her hand pulling her away from manik's room

Why did u come here now....reh Kia gya hai ab ruin karne ko she whisper screamed at her making nyonika startle....no sentence escaped from her mouth as she stared at Nandini's angry figure

Marte Marte bacha hai wo...kia chahti hai mar jaye wo....kia gunah Kia hai usne chor kyon nhi dete use nandini was going out of control in anger not caring about the surrounding, about her harsh words and their impact on nyonika....no one stopped her from being so harsh on her

Dont say that plzzz she writhed in pain hearing her saying harsh words about manik... how could she kill her own son her teary eyes complained but no one was there to register it

Nandini quiet!!! Yash said in stern tone as he walked to pull nandini back..... he didnt like her behaviour with nyonika....she was his bestfrnd's wife and he was already feeling bad for not looking after them after raj's death

No dad!! She is the reason...my manik her eyes got teary as she pursed her lips tight controlling her tears

I want to see him for once plzz....I will go from here after that she begged to be allowed to have a single glance of her own son

Bhabhi he is there...u can go he said avoiding eye contact but nyonika's word stilled at the word BHABHI after 15 years someone called her by raj's reference.....she felt a stabbing in her heart as raj's figure appeared infront of her eyes but she suppressed her pain and walked towards the room taking slow dreadful steps while on the other side nandini squirmed under her dad's tight grip

Dad plzzz manik nandini said turning her head towards manik's room where she could see nyonika twisting the door handle

Nhi wo kese....I wont let her see manik....she ruined our life nandini begged her father to leave her....how could she let anything happen which manik didnt want to happen when he was well

She is his mother....u cant stop her from meeting or seeing him he said gripping her shoulder trying to make her understand it

Where was she when manik needed her she said and yash had nothing to say plzz dad I need to go I cant trust her....she'll hurt my manik nandini begged as manik's pain and hollowness appeared in front of her eyes....yash quietly left her shoulder after saying she looks hurt nandini.... she ignored yash's words and walked towards the room

On the other side nyonika's feet staggered as soon as she opened the door to see manik lying infront of them with so many wires attached to his body....she never knew their first meeting after so many years would be like this where his life was at stake

She took slow steps and reached near the bed....bending down she kissed his forehead as her shivering hand travelled to touch his face but soon she retrieved her hand back b4 it could touch his bruises.....she was scared to hurt him unintentionally

Manik.... she called as if waking him up from sleep but no response manik utho na she called again with double hope shaking him a little

Nandini was about to open the door when thru door window she saw nyonika bending beside manik's bed.....the door knob slipped out of Nandini's hand as she stared at the scene infront of her.....what startled nandini was those pained expressions on her face

Na karo aise mama ki jaan she begged as tears slipped out of her eyes

Manikkkk she called a little louder and slipped onto ground as her feet denied to carry her weight but after that also her son didnt respond......holding the edge of bed she cried hiding her face in mattress as her every cell of body begged manik to respond....to say sth , even a single sentence or a single word

Seeing her broken like that Nandini's mind flooded with a lot of questions why is she crying like that her heart argued...she was fighting with her inner turmoil and her heart was suggesting something else...it was persist to believe in the gud side of nyonika

Manik plzzz 1 dfa dekh lo mere traf she begged again raising her head but was met with disappointment....getting up she turned around slowly and took steps towards the door all the time wiping her teary eyes....nandini stared at her pale face

It wasn't acting she whispered to her own self how can someone cry so much for the person to whom she loathed the most her entire life her heart wanted to give nyonika a chance

As soon as nyonika opened the door she was met by Nandini's piercing gaze which was scanning her in and out.....she quietly closed the door and then turned around to have a last glance at her son.....

Manik her heart cried again but no voice came out of her mouth instead nandini heard a deep sorrowful sigh followed by nyonika's walking away as per her promise.....after taking few steps she turned again to look back at manik's room....she didn't want to leave her son at that critical condition but she knew her being there was going to help no one....manik's closed one hated her for what she did in past....she had no place there so she decided to go from there quietly and pray for her son's speedy recovery

Wait nandini said hastily and nyonika closed her eyes as she had no courage to bear more humilation but still she stopped...nandini came in front of nyonika and said u can stay here as long as manik doesnt get fine unable to meet gaze with the lady standing infront of her as she had said a lot of harsh things to her earlier

Without saying a single thing nyonika slumped on bench....covering her face with her palms she sobbed louder while nandini just stared at her helplessly , she was too embarrassed to console her so she slowly walked away from there

Yaar manik ab to uth jao nandini said as she stood besides manik's bed caressing his hair but getting no answer she quietly sat on stool pushing her tears back......her hand fell on bed near manik's bed....she looked at his pale white arm her hand slowly travelled and soon she entwined her fingers with his manly fingers.....after days she was feeling his touch and this produced more water in her eyes which stung badly......raising his hand by supporting it with hers she brought it near her lips and kissed the back of his palm multiple times

I love u she said as her eyes never dared to look away from his handsome face....the only thing she was hating about that beautiful face was his glued lips which had swore to not say a single word.....

In mid noon mukti arrived in hospital......aryaman guided them(mukti and abhi) to the desired ward where she saw her frnds.....tears fell out of her eyes more seeing all her frnds standing there with pale faces.....

Manik kesa hai she asked hugging them at once.....she was still unaware of manik in coma

Andar hai jao mil lo cabir said indicating towards 14 number ICU room

Wo theek haina she asked in scared tone but noone answered as they all avoided meeting gaze with her....failing to get an answer she walked towards the room in depressed way....as soon as she entered the room she saw nandini sitting on stool and resting her head on his arm she was talking to him continuously as if she were talking to a normal person who was responding to her every word

Kitne bure ho tm.....itni attention ache lg rhi hai tmhe she faked anger pinching the bridge of her nose as she looked at him

Tbhi tm baat bhi nhi kar rhe kisi se.....that's all u wanted that everyone should be around manik paying him undivided attention she said bht kush hoge ab she rested her head on his arm and stared at his face from there.....nandini felt her heart filling with peace the moment her body contacted with manik's......silence filled the room and nandini closed her eyes feeling calmed

And mukti forgot all her pain after hearing nandini......she was in so much pain yet she was acting so calm and composed...hearing the sound of door opening nandini turned around to look at her

Dekho mukti bhi agye..... she said as she got up to greet mukti but her words and manik's critical condition made mukti cry harder

Kia hogya hai mukti.....he can hear us she tried to make her stop crying be strong nandini said as she wiped the lone tear off her face

Tm sab ko rulate hi ho manik nandini complained to manik in shaky tone and unable to compose herself she left from there and mukti followed the suite after staring at him for gud five minutes

Come dr nandini sit as soon as nandini entered the neurosurgeon's HOD office....quietly nandini sat placing her hands on front table

M sorry for whatever happened she took a deep breath to calm herself down at his words and passed a fake smile I know u r in deep pain  but i have to discuss few things with u about manik's condition she raised her head nodding

Yes sir she entwined her fingers together

U r a doctor too...I think u already know everything but let me repeat things to make it more clear to u he said in a professional way

He has endured severe injury in the head......and the swelling is not subsiding he took a pause and although nandini could see everything she was too scared to admit it

I am scared that if it doesnt decrease in few days we will have to do his surgery as its doing a lot damage to his brain....it can cost him his life he put forward everything infront of her...for a minute everything made her speechless.....

Sir u r free to do whatever u think can save manik's life she maintained a plain tone

He will be fine...have faith in God he spoke in rather friendly tone understanding her dilemma

Only that is keeping me sane sir she said as this time her expressions were bit relaxed

I think I should go now....Thnku sir she got up from the chair and walked towards the door...as soon as she walked into the corridor where her frnds were present they approached her bombarding her with thousands of questions.....but instead of listening to them her mind zoned out

Nandini is everything okay....what did the doctor say dhruv shaked her gently demanding answers.....she stared at them blankly but soon came back into present

He might need a surgery her voice sounded like coming from a deep well
