Manik looked at her with hurt expressions but then it was the game of seconds as his facial expressions changed into cold ones......his deadly stare had them shutting their mouths who were planning to say sth.............he looked at the ground and his face turned blood red and his lips fluttered but he swore to not utter a single word from his mouth........as he sensed some movement he raised his head and found the two of them a little closer than before making him take a step back as he shook his head conveying that he didn't want them near him

I don't wanna hear more lies....m done he said with stern face and turned to leave from there.....he couldn't stand being there for long as he knew he would lost it if he stayed there for a little more time........coming from the hallway he entered into the dining hall and kind of fell on dining chair.......his energy was drained and he listened to his thumping heart as he tried to calm himself down.....at that very moment he felt his mobile phone vibrating in his pocket....knowing it would be nandini's he pulled out his phone from pocket.......it was her pregnancy time and she shouldn't be bothered much......he tried to give her comfort as much as he could as he wanted her to stay relax and happy......

Morning my coconut nandini's chirpy voice appeared

Morning although in a very tensed situation his senses calmed down as he heard her voice and that nickname

U ready for office she asked and without waiting for his answer she continued nashta kar ke jana office she instructed in her soft tone and manik just stared at his tuxedo as he sure was ready to go to office

Yes aaj mene kaka ko keh ke paratha khaya tha.....and u know what abhi mein halwa puri khane lge she said in a way making him chuckle.....she was sometime little monster ready to eat anything and it seemed to be one of those days

Good was all that manik said making her start ranting again which he listened patiently not wanting her to stop speaking as her voice was helping him silence the inside disturbing voices

Manikkk nandini called making him shake his head yes....

OK I know u r very busy she said taking his non responsiveness as him being busy and must have rolled her eyes at the other side of phone

I will call if I need anything....until then I need no disturbance he said as he started marching upstairs towards his study slamming his fist on vase present at the entry of hallway slamming it down in anger........the vase shattered and a loud sound echoed in the whole area making everyone tense knowing how bad his anger was.......they couldn't even recover from the earlier when it followed by another sound of things crashing down and breaking into pieces on floor........marry looked at nyonika and find her pale face which made her feel sorry for the unfortunate mother standing infront of her who lost her son again in an effort to protect him

Closing himself in study manik just looked at his quiet surrounding and sat on sofa with a thud........his heart raced at high speed and he could feel thumping in his ears......he was numb and his mind was clueless how to cope with the situation where his own mother turned out to be with someone who murdered his father and on the top of that whole fucking world knew about it except him......all his life he was being deceived in that matter like he was so easy to be fooled.......it raged him more and his hand swung in air and threw everything on ground that was present on coffee table

So stupid manik......so easy to be fooled he cursed himself

Do I look that vulnerable that anyone can come and give me just few words of love to get me following them like a sick puppy believing their every shit he slammed his fist on the edge of table hard and repeatedly making pain shoot thru his arm but looks like his main concern wasn't this

He got up feeling suffocated sitting in that place and moved towards the windows and opened them hastily trying to inhale the fresh air......resting his hands on window pane he panted and looked at the huge sky from his window with nothing but frustration and anger in his eyes....how helpless he was........morning turned into midday and he kept standing there.....he didnt know for how long he stood by there but then saw nandini's car entering inside the porche and it made him take a deep breath as he looked at sky to find the sunsetting.....his legs were screaming to get some rest but he was out of such needs.....his body relaxed as he finally knew where to speak himself out.....he knew she would be there soon comforting him lightening his world with her presence

On the other hand as nandini came inside the house the first thing she saw was a very broken state of nyonika and immediately went to her to console her and know the reason of her distress

What happened she asked sitting close to nyonika who just looked at her and tears dropped from her eyes as she murmured

I messed up everything she said and then briefly told her that how manik got to know about who killed his father

Amma did u know about that she asked surprised about it and nyonika's face told her the answer

Mein bahir hn manik she said as she sat on sofa infront of study door and tiredly removed her shoes as she tried to relax her taut muscles while her eyes were all the time focussed on the door........she shivered at her place as the sound of glass crashing down appeared from inside the study and it continued with more such voices making her aware that he must be destroying everything inside in anger

Just don't hurt urself manik nandini mumbled to herself as she knew how all his insecurities used to come infront of him all over again when something like that happened.......he used to get so angry and always lost his control over himself as he hated going back to that phase ,he hated being vulnerable and when something from past hit him he used to take it all out in anger

An hour passed by with nandini sitting in the same couch in same hospital clothes as she didn't want to leave him for a second.....who knew when he opens the door and not find her there......he would be more hurt and she didn't want that......after not hearing any voice coming from inside for long nandini decided to check on him thinking he must be less angry by now.....she went to lounge and pulled out keys from inside drawer and opened the door slowly to find every little piece of glass on floor shattered.....she took a long breath and then looked straight at him to find him sitting on chair covering his eyes with right hand's thumb and index finger......nandini carefully took step inside making sure to not step on glass pieces when manik removed his hand and looked straight to find her standing near the study door

Manik her voice had longing and manik just paid no heed and went back to covering his eyes making nandini feel distressed......seeing that she took haste steps towards him and soon she was close to him.......she placed her hand over his but manik didn't react

Tm naraz ho Mere se she asked getting tensed...as she looked at him for response she observed his other hand hanging and few drops of blood at the floor beneath

Manik her voice tensed as she went straight to grab medical box.....leaning on writing desk she pulled his hand making him open his eyes and look at her......there eyes met and she gave him a disturbed look but then shifted back to examine his wound...it seemed as few broken pieces got stuck in his skin as he was furiously throwing them away......

Aise nhi karna chaiye tha tmhe saddened over the fact that he hurted himself again she stated and manik who was observing her sharply noticed that she had been wearing the office suite.......hearing her sentence he again remembered of what she did.....he tried to pull his hand back only to be grabbed by nandini more tightly.....nandini raised her head to look at him with teary eyes at his state making him stop his efforts.....she cleansed the wound to clear blood and then with the help of forceps pulled out broken glass pieces off the skin causing more blood to ooze out.......hastily grabbing gauze piece she placed it over the area and gently pressed it as she looked at him.........manik also looked at her and she stated

Tm naraz na ho Mere se manik she stated again but he instead retraced his hand which she was holding and removed the gauze piece throwing it away..........she didnt really like his act but b4 she could say anything he took povidine soaked gauze from her hand making her relax and placed it over the wound and then secured it with tape

Nhi mein nhi naraz......har kisi ki priorities hoti hai he made a very childish statement in his disturbed state making nandini raise her head in distress as she grabbed his wrist

Manik aise kaho ge tm....tmhare se imp Kia hoga mere liye she said I didn't know what happened here in my absence.....I saw her and I couldnt stop myself from comforting her she added

M just very disturbed nandini....m not angry at u he said and nandini just rubbed his hand affectionately

Yes manik I admit I do take care of her, it's because she is ur mother.....she is related to u thats why she is important to u.......no one but u r important to me.....tm ho Mere first priority she said and her one hand went to rub his cheek making manik look at her........he kept staring at her and then rested his palm over her hand which was resting on his cheek and closed his eyes placing his head on head rest trying to find peace in this entire situation.......she looked at him and then went to sit on arm rest of chair where manik was sitting and asked him

Going to their room nandini went inside washroom while manik asked servant to serve them dinner at their room.......soon nandini joined manik who was sitting on bed waiting for him, nandini brought tray on bed only and sat beside manik......serving him some food she gestured him to eat who asked her to join him and eat from the same plate.......nandini smiled and made a morsel taking it infront of his mouth and manik tenderly held her wrist and took the morsel

It was midnight and manik was frustated bcz even multiple attempts didn't let him drown into sleep......the neck pain was getting severe every passing moment and it was progressing to involve his shoulders......it was difficult for him to even breathe comfortably and whatever position he took only resulted in more discomfort......moreover his mind was a huge mess and rzlting in cherry on top

Frusted he sat on bed and then tried to look at nandini but the strong pain in his neck didn't allow him to do that and he whimpered under his breath from sharp pain.......he felt suffocated and rested his feet on cold floor......sucking a sharp breath manik got up and opened the door to balcony and closed it as soon as he entered into balcony to not let the cold air enter the room........taking slow steps towards the railing and resting his hands he leaned onto it.......he tried to take deep breaths but the worsening cervical pain spreading to his shoulders made it difficult for him to take full air inside his lungs.....he dragged himself to sofa.....he tried to close his eyes as he rested his head on back of sofa and with a spare hand he tried to rub his burning eyes but couldn't lift his arms beyond a certain height cuz it caused pain to shoot in the whole area making him whimper again .......he had been in same position from long when he heard sound of door opening and knew it was nandini........he opened his eyes immediately but to look at nandini he turned his whole body towards the door and there she was standing in her night sound with a fluffy jacket and a shawl on cuz it was very cold outside

Manik she mumbled in sad tone and then took haste steps towards him

Soye kyon nhi tm she asked as she spread her shawl on his shoulders seeing him only in thin shirt

Neend nhi arhi thi he said and nandini could see him pursing his lips as if he was in pain

Cervical pain she mumbled in worried tone and remembered his doctors words which he said b4 discharging him.....he specifically told them that he needed to be stress free and live a healthy life to avoid such problems.......his body was weak and any disturbance could show symptoms like that

Kal se lekin it was bearable but today he said and nandini just didn't know what to say.....she was angry at him for bringing himself to this condition but also she knew things were offsetting and he also wasn't happy of whatever was happening to him

Bghar kuch phne tm kab se bahir bethe ho she said as she walked towards the room and said in irritated tone

Neend nhi arhi thi manik said plainly making nandini more angry

Haan tm Neend na aane ka gham Andar bhi manaa skte the she said in pissed off tone or u could have woken me up.....that's why m here she said making a smile to appear on manik's lips and she turned on the heater and looked at him with angry eyes making manik smile more

Medicines lo ye tm she put painkiller and melatonin medicine in his palm to help him get some sleep and he didnt argue further knowing she too was sleepy but wouldn't sleep b4 him.....gulping the medicines down his throat he also sipped some water.....nandini took the glass from him and placing it on side table she arranged pillows for him and manik lied down while nandini decided to walk out of her room to study her patient's case

Where r u going manik asked holding her hand making her look at him

Now that m awake I m thinking to study my patient's case nandini answered and manik who desperately wanted her by his side just kept holding her hand and looked at her

I missed u dad he said and manik took him in his lap and offered him to eat from his plate while no one else intervened knowing their love for eachother

I just want my wife to take rest as I provide everything to her he mumbled lovingly as he pulled her nose teasingly

Manikkkkkk ☹☹ she made a face so rude....... u know m pregnant she said looking at him with frowns on her forehead and manik laughed loudly as he parked the car and stepped out of it but when he saw nandini sitting there grumpily he smiled widely and marched to her side of car....placing his hands on door he leaned down and asked her in a teasing way tm coffee nhi piyo ge their was sadness in his voice and nandini knew he was just teasing her, nandini stayed unaffected okay mein apne liye la rha he went away and nandini raised her head shocked as she really thought he wouldn't go away without her......she turned more angry as she was really craving for cold coffee bht her ego was bigger than her craving for coffee so she just stayed motionless....within 5 minutes manik came back and as soon as nandini saw him coming out of coffee shop she turned her head on other side angrily........she didnt even look at him even when he sat inside car

Nandini hold my cup for a minute plzzz he said in extra sugary tone but nandini didn't budge nandiniii he elbowed her to hold cup and angrily nandini raised her head to first see his extended hand with a coffee cup and then her eyes fell on his face but he was already sipping his coffee......frowns on her forehead disappeared and she melted he brought her favourite cold coffee

Coming back manik lazily went to his room......he made a face as he really didn't want to go home but tiredness and reappearance of cervical pain from all day work made him rethink his decision and there he was planning to get some sleep till the time nandini arrives.......changing into pj's he proceeded to get sth to eat from room fridge when door knocked and followed by opening of door......nyonika appeared and manik who was drinking soda stopped to look at her....placing the can on top of fridge manik just stared at her with a serious face and then said I plan on taking some rest he made his way to bed but nyonika stopped by holding his bicep

OK u r not moving so I will go he said removing her hand from his arm and grabbed his phone to walk away

Manik was standing still his face hot flooding with emotions........with his mind exploding with multiple thoughts he decided to go to marry as only she could tell him what happened after his father's death......taking long strides he looked around the house and spotted marry in kitchen........there were other servants also so he stayed calm and said to her I wanna talk to u....m waiting in garden he said and then left from there....minuted later she arrived and manik anxiously got up from bench and asked

She always asked me to check on u , to take care of u and ur needs, may be she wanted u to never be alone so that's why she sent me with u when u left home marry made sure to convey every little deed of nyonika which could spark love in manik's heart while on the other side manik's condition was like he forgot to breathe......he was just staring at marry's face as her hand slipped from his and he rubbed his face with his mind unable to decipher anything
