Shittt m screwed manik looked at her wondering as she hurriedly gathered her stuff....she agitatedly tied her hair in pony and glared at manik who was just froze at his place watching her movements

Will u move giving an angry glare she said making him shake his head in realization as he raised his eyebrow what happened

M late.......this is gonna be my last day in hospital she made a crying face and manik just shook his head okay stop panicking manik laid his hand on her shoulfer

Let's go he took her some belongings as they hurriedly stormed towards the car

I dont wanna go nandini cried anticipating senior doctor's anger, schooling her about importance of time and professionalism infront of everyone

Then don't.......I think u should just go back home and take some rest manik said and nandini looked at him as if he had grown horns

I want coffee....u didnt let me have it in office he said making an excuse and nandini faced him with a crying face.....manik who was enjoying teasing her looked at her to find her teary eyes

I will get one for u too.....dont cry he teased her more and she threw her head in her hands as she cried for a minute and raised her head in fury u know what...stop the car I will go on my own.....I did so much for u and u r teasing  me her cranky mood was on and manik immediately sat straight increasing the speed okay we r going straight to hospital her pregnancy mood swings used to scare the shit out of him but nandini kept her head on her knees and manik increased the speed further with silence prevailing in room

Just 5 more minutes he said but nandini didnt answer

Stop crying babe.....I was just joking he rubbed her hair and nandini raised her head a little to look at him stop crying he encouraged giving her a flying kiss.....she wiped her teary eyes and sniffed sitting straight.......he gave her a big smile but in return nandini punched him on his arm

Ohhhh nandini araam se he said wondering from where she got the strength to punch so hard

Araam se.... achaw ye lo she punched him again while manik just bore it having no other option now make fun of me...haan she challenged raising her hand as she took it near his arm to punch but b4 that manik grabbed her fist......cool down fiery cat he grabbed her fist tighter as she tried to get away from his grip and seeing all her struggle going in vain she slumped on seat grumpy leave my hand she said in cranky tone and manik kissed her fist b4 releasing her hand as u say and his kissed instantly calmed her down and her crankness flew away while she looked at him with adoration which made manik smile as he shaked his head pregnancy hormones really mess up he thought as he looked at his beautiful wife and his smile got wider

Ahaan manik said as he scratched his beard challenging her while she cared less as she gathered her stuff and as she held her phone the screen turned on showing time

Manik what about ur meeting she asked in worried tone as she knew he would be late definitely as hospital was far away from his office

It's okay......boss can be late sometimes....no one is waiting there to count how many seconds m late he teased her while she glared back at him....but just shaking her head she opened the door to step out of car

I will be waiting here just in case u get kicked out of hospital he tapped his finger on steering wheel and nandini turned around to find a lopsided smile on his face

Just go she pushed his chest a little persuading him to go okay bye and u have my shoulder to cry just in case u want to he ignited the engine and said while nandini just laughed at his stupid talks silly she mumbled getting off the car and going into hospital while manik watched her with smile......he drove back once he saw her disappearing in the corridors

Going back to office he was so engrossed in meeting that he couldnt check his phone....he came back to room after the meeting ended he checked the phone which was beeping.....swiping he opened the phone to see multiple msgs on WhatsApp.....with his eyebrow raised he opened the msgs and a frown appeared on his forehead as he went thru the text written.....the person was claiming to know the murderer of his father

Bullshit manik muttered as he deleted the msgs and tossed the mobile back on table.....it wasn't the first time he was getting those msgs....thousands of people claimed to help him but they just took his money and flew away and now he had accepted the fact that he wouldn't be able to solve the mystery and it was better to move on and start looking for his wife and his babies which are yet to come in the world

It was night and manik and nandini were strolling in their garden as it was good for her pregnancy to maintain a healthy life style and manik was helping her practicing it......despite getting so tired cuz of office burden and also his health wasn't up to mark considering he was still weak and prone to illness he used to make sure to accompany her for a walk or spend time with her to make her feel good.....it used to be therapeutic for both of them

So what happened at hospital manik asked as he entwined their hands and nandini's arm collided with his in process.......at his question nandini just made a puppy face and manik asked with a smile

Zayda dant pare he asked and nandini stopped as she shook her head.......manik too stopped a step ahead of her and turned around to face her

When I went there sir was already doing rounds......and I was pretty sure of getting scolded from him but he just stood few steps away from me and he just started staring at me she said with her hand moving in air showing her how clueless she was at that moment

He kept staring at me while I was preparing myself to get a large lecture and then he took a side and gestured towards a bed ........ she said and manik looked at her with inquisitive eyes finding it interesting

And then all of sudden I heard *DR NANDINI WE WOULD LIKE TO HAVE UR PRECIOUS OPINION ABOUT THIS PATIENT.......IT SEEMED THAT WE R UNABLE TO GET A GRIP OVER DIAGNOSIS * nandini quoted her seniors words and manik's eyebrow crooked and a smile appeared on his face as he knew something interesting was about to come

And then u aced it he asked and nandini just stared at him and then shook her head I messed it up and that was it a huge laughter erupted from manik's mouth as he knew how awkward it must be and her expressions as she told manik everything made it funnier.......her lips curved down as she made a puppy face and looked at him

Everyone was looking at me and I made such dumb guesses she said and manik threw his head back and laughed more

Then what happened

Nothing......tomorrow my colleague is on leave and m assigned to do his part of duty too manik was still smiling considering she would just be doing extra work in her duty hours

So I wont come home tomorrow she said and manik stopped as he looked at her

Wait....what do u mean.....u have a night duty too he asked and nandini just nodded her head

So u would be coming home in morning , the day after tomorrow he clearly didnt like the idea

Not morning actually at noon.....I have my duty after night shift she corrected him making him frown its freaking 36 hours without a break......not fair he raised his hands in air

What she chuckled as she found him acting like a scared little baby

Yes......m not used to u not being around me he said holding her chin tilting her head to look into her eyes while his one hand was on her bulging belly which he was caressing a little

Ok my hormones are already making me so emotional so please she chuckled as she kissed his tip of nose with happy expressions on her face......her face glowed as her mind replayed every word he said and she felt butterflies in her stomach....she tried to stay like that in his arms but at the end gave up to the urge of hugging him

Uffff yaar I love u she said with tinge of frustration but more of love flooding as she hugged him tightly throwing her arms around his neck and he chuckled as he supported her back......she kept nuzzling his neck while he rubbed her hair affectionately

We should go to sleep now he said as the only thing stressing him out was her comfort and that she should get enough time to sleep and relax b4 a hectic routine

Hmmm okay she said and they marched towards the house....once in bedroom nandini went straight to the bed while manik just fumbled around with stuff

Manik what r u doing she was getting impatient by looking at him doing nothing significant but not even joining her on bed

Just coming baby he said as he finally closed the files tossed his glasses on a side and turned around to look at her

I need my snuggle buddy she said in baby tone raising her hands in air for him who removed his shirt and jumped on bed quickly towering her........she giggled at his eagerness while he just glared at her what ?? It's rare for u to show such eagerness and get lovey dovey......I wanna enjoy it he said taking her in bear hug and nandini squealed under his tight grip while he tossed around the bed so she was above him

Sleep he whispered as he saw nandini busy playing with his hair and she quietly placed her head on his chest listening to his musical beats.....he kept roaming his hand in her hair and after sometime nandini laid down beside him considering he must have gotten tired with her above him and they slept snuggling into eachother

Manik m not a kid......she said rolling her eyes as she opened the lunch box and the food items inside it really made it like it was made for toddler

U sure about that???? cuz as far as I know u still prefer junk over healthy meal unlike adults he challenged pinching her cheeks with a smirk which made nandini frown at him

Food choices has nothing to do with adulting she said but manik didnt break his stare and she just slapped him lightly getting confused with his constant stare

The whole day went with both of them working their respective duties......the sun was set and manik was still in office unlike other days cuz he didnt feel like going home cuz he knew nandini wouldn't be there........Tired he looked at the bundle of files present on table and then his eyes found his mobile.....picking it up he opened nandini's number and was about to swipe right to call her but stopped and typed message for her

Free??? He rested mobile on his chest waiting for her message as he didnt expect it to be coming soon

Why???? Have u reached home??? She counter questioned and manik's eyes lit as he heard notification sound

Can we do dinner together he again asked question ignoring her question of whether he reached home or not cuz he knew she would ask him to go home and somehow bring nyonika in her conversation which he didnt want

I cant get out of here she sent with a sad face emoji and manik sighed as he read her text

Go home and dw about me she sent another text and manik admitted that nandini knew alot about him.....his eyebrow crooked as a person knowing so much about him was still sth new to her but one thing he knew was that he wasn't feeling bad about it either......he was happy and at peace being with nandini ....

Getting up he hooked two of his fingers over the collar of his coat and pulled it away from coat stand......he then bent down and grabbed wallet from drawer and then marched towards the door following nandini's instructions.....

Nandini bahir ao nandini again got message from manik after a break of 45 minutes and she wondered as she dialled his number

Manik m not free....I cant she said in gentle tone trying to make him understand like a small kid

Bahir to ao yaar he insisted leaning on car and nandini came out of restroom and walked towards the main entrance thinking that he would insist on going out like an adamant kid.....as she came out of hospital she looked around and found manik leaning on car....a smile instantly appeared on her lips as she saw him waving at her.....taking fast steps to reach him she was close to him within a minute

Someone was eager to see me manik said with a smirk as he unfolded his hands which were resting on his chest.....taking her in side hug he kissed her head top and she smiled brightly

I just came to meet u.....I can't go out she conveyed that she wouldn't move an inch from there considering manik was just there to take her on dinner.....manik said nothing just opened the car door and picked up food parcel from car....straightening up he forwarded the parcel and her eyes lightened as she raised her hand to take it

Hospital food is awful so!! He shrugged his shoulders and nandini's eyes brightened at how much he cared for her.....she scanned him to find him still wearing office clothes meaning he didnt even take time to change

Manikkk she mumbled his name with love filled eyes u seriously made my day...... she hugged him and he smiled combing her hair....she was still hugging him when manik detached herself from him go b4 ur senior pays a visit and not finds u there......m not ready for another overtime he said and nandini chuckled as she picked parcel from car roof and waved at him b4 she happily strode towards the hospital while manik just watched her back......at the entrance she again turned around and gave him her toothish smile as she bade a final goodbye and manik replied with a flying kiss....PRETTY ACTING LIKE TEENAGERS BUT ITS OKAY TO BE CRAZY LIKE TEENAGERS WHEN EXPRESSING UR LOVE

He drove back home and asked a servant to bring his meal in his room......he was just walking thru the corridor minding his own business busy in folding his sleeves and raised his head casually to spot nyonika sitting on lounge sofa

Agye she said to initiate the conversation and all the happiness he was experiencing flew away and a cold aura surrounded him

Hmmm he replied though just wanting to go straight into his bedroom

Ao betho mere paas she patted the area beside her on sofa and manik's face turned stern at her offer....he didn't accept the offer but also didnt just storm out of there

Where is nandini.....I haven't seen her she  asked extending the convo single handedly

She's not at home he said tapping his shoe anxiously on floor not wanting his anxiety to kick in although their wasn't even a slight hint of what was going on inside his mind....a long silence fell in room as nyonika didnt know what to say to continue the conversation and manik on the other hand didnt want that conversation so he wasn't putting any effort.......he was just staring at the floor standing there like he was forced to ......although no one could force him to stand there and listen to nyonika still his feet were fixed to the ground like some unknown source made him to act gentle

Manik nyonika said his name again as she got up from the sofa and this time manik raised his head to look at her approaching him

M tired he mouthed and stormed out of there without waiting for some response from her......he wasn't up for that conversation.......nyonika just gazed at his back......she had noticed him fumbling and body getting tensed as she walked towards him and it made her sigh loudly......her only son would start feeling uncomfortable if the conversation was lengthened a bit longer

In his room he just looked around and created his blazer on bed and sat beside it to remove his shoes.....throwing them on opposite sides he threw himself on bed and stared at the ceiling........he stayed like that for a minute or so and then turned around lazily burying his face in mattress as he felt so lazy to get up and freshen up

A knock on door made him raise his head a little as he shouted come in before resting it back on mattress and the cook entered to find his belongings lying scattered around the room

Sir should I send someone to clean the room cook asked tying his hand infront and manik just shook his head no

The cook went out and manik after few minutes got up and went to washroom....after freshening up he came out and looked at the mess he created....though he was hungry and wanted to eat but couldn't with all that mess so he first decided to clean it.....picking his office outfit and socks he threw them in laundry basket and then  hanged his blazer......after that he tucked the bed sheet properly and also placed his shoes in rack...he also placed his wallet and car keys inside side table drawer along with cufflinks.......within 10 minutes the room was back to its original condition and he again washed his hands b4 going near trolley......grabbing the trolley he pulled it near bed and looked at the food which had cooled down a little but he wasn't in a mood to get up and warm the food but also didnt want to call someone

Nandini hoti to ye na hota he mumbled as he placed spoonful of cold rice in his mouth.......he thanked God for blessing him with such a caring wife......while munching he switched on the tv and started watching a movie on Netflix

After finishing his dinner he kept watching tv lazily but then even got bored of it........getting up he decided to get himself some coffee as he work for sometime......going to kitchen he placed used utensils in sink and grabbed coffee jar when Marry entered

Lemme make it she said taking jar from manik and manik smiled as he handed her the jar and sat on kitchen table

U haven't slept yet he asked and marry just turned around a little I couldn't she shrugged her shoulders and manik nodded his head

Wait she said as she disappeared somewhere might be she went into room and minutes later she came with an envelope

Driver handed me this she forwarded the envelope and manik just took it with suspicious eyes and he opened the envelope and withdrew some paper cuttings..... all were related to his father's murder..........he was shocked but still didn't show it on his face

Something serious marry asked in worried tone and manik just shook his head

Which driver...... he asked as he got up deciding to directly investigate him about the source of envelope

Rahul sbe named and then looked at manik who forgot his coffee

Send him to my room he said to marry as he took steps out of kitchen and marry just looked at the coffee mug lying on table with heat coming from it

Manik??? Marry called manik and he stopped right there......she laid a hand on the back of his shoulder and looked at him with concerned eyes is everything okay she feared about the same events which made him land in hospital

Dont discuss it with nandini....she would freak out for nothing he said and marry nodded like always burying one more secret of him inside her heart

HOW???? manik frowned as he went thru every piece of paper and his mind fogged with disturbing thoughts about this new condition.....he was drowned in his thoughts when the driver entered after knocking at the door for permission......he stood at some distance from manik

U called me sir he asked fearing that he made some mistake

I took car for wash and someone just placed it on windscreen in car wipers he said and manik raised his eyebrow

No sir...m sorry sir...I just went to smoke and when I came back their was an envelope....I tried to find about the person but no one knew about him except that he was wearing black hoodie he looked sorry as he narrated the whole thing to manik and it was no point to punish him more so manik left his collar and stood at a little distance from him trying to get him come out of fear

No sir....m sorry sir please forgive me he mumbled looking down

No one should come to know about this....if u receive something again just give it to me directly he said in stern tone and driver immediately nodded.......thinking it as the end of conversation driver took steps back towards the door when manik said

Come here he gestured with his 2 fingers as he grabbed his wallet

Is everything okay at ur house manik asked and this manik looked exact opposite of what he used to show 24 hours to world....this manik was gentle and sweet , taking care of everyone and helping people in their needs

Yes sir driver smiled a little and manik pulled some money from his wallet and forwarded his hand

Buy something for ur children he handed him money and it left the driver with gratitude.....he went out of room with a happy heart blessing manik in his prayers

Manik also came out after sometime and went towards raj's room as it was the only place inaccessible to nandini although manik never put restrictions after their relationship status changed but nandini knew that it was a place where manik used to relive his childhood and nandini didnt want to invade that space and fill that room too with her memories which was meant solely for him to remember his time with his parents
