Robbie was screaming. Screaming, screaming, screaming, and screaming. So much screaming that it felt like his throat was on fire.
Laura felt a powerful punch to her jaw as the Shadow Colonel laughed.
Shadow Colonel: This has been fun, Little Wolverine, but I'll be leaving now. The only question that remains, will I kill you now or later?
Y/N: Stand down, Colonel! Or I'll make you wish to hell you....
You flew right through him as he turned to mist. You hit the wall which cracked under your weight. You fell to the ground and gritted your teeth.
Robbie felt like no one could hear him scream. But why was he screaming? He couldn't seem to remember now.
Laura: He's a vampire! He can turn into mist!
Y/N: Oh, I'm gonna turn him into mist, alright. A big red one!
He just remembers burning, and melting. He remembers someone yelling at him. Screaming nonsense.
Tandy: Mountain! Activate Gut Check protocols! Lock down all intestinal levels!
Pearl: Strikers! We have a situation in the detainment facility!
The two ran into the room while Tyrone rushed to find the others. The four of your surrounded the Colonel as he stood there with his fists clenched.
Wait, Robbie remembers a dog.
Pearl lifted her blade just as Sarge lunged at her. She held it back as he tried to bite at her.
Dorren: This is Doreen! Where's the problem? The butt?
Pearl: The guts! Strikers to the...
Sarge: We have what we came for, Colonel.
Tandy tackled the dog off of Pearl as you and Laura charged at the Colonel. You engulfed your fists in fire. You took a page from Danny's book and tried out some of thet Kung fu he had showed you when you last saw him.
You managed to land a hit just as Laura went to stab him. Suddenly, his visor began to glow red before a bright laser shot out which blasted Laura's arm right off.
Sarge: Do we have time for me to eat this one? She smells like vanilla!
Colonel: You tell me, Sarge! Where is our ride?!
Y/N: You're in Striker Manor! You're gonna need more than a dog to escape...
You were all suddenly blown across the room by a sudden blast of hot flames. You crashed into the floor as the Colonel and Sarge looked over at the massive hole that was now in the wall.
Robbie remembered that the dog made him lose himself. He wasn't sure where he was right now. He just knew it hurt like hell.
You all looked up to see the Hell Charger parked in the hole. Your eyes grew wide when you saw Robbie step out of the car. He looked twisted. Wrong.
Tandy: Robbie?
Y/N: What the hell happened to you?
Colonel: Rider, be a good boy and show your friends what you are now. What you were always meant to be.
Robbie clenched his fists as he opened his mouth. A ball of fire grew within him as he began to shake.
Pearl: Robbie, don't listen to them, they're...
Robbie: Rahhhhhhhhh!
Robbie released a massive blast of fire from within him. You quickly created a thick wall of ice to help soften the blow, but it hardly helped. You were all thrown through the window by the huge ball of fire.
You quickly grabbed Tandy and Pearl and held them as you took the full force of the fall. Laura hit the ground and let out a cry of pain as Robbie finally closed his mouth.
As you and Laura quickly healed, Tyrone returned with Loki and Doreen in tow.
Doreen: So, this is the guts?
Loki: What is happening here?
Y/N: Don't let the car get away!
But it was too late. Robbie was already driving away with Sarge and the Colonel.
It felt like he was being born again. Tearing out of his mother's womb. Screaming and bawling and spitting up Hellfire.
And the worse part was, even through the agony and pain, it felt so damn good.
----------------
You crossed your arms as you looked out at the snowy landscape of Alaska, many homes with Christmas lights glowed as the sun slowly came up. Laura, now with her arm back, stood next to you. Joining the two of you was Molly, Crystal, Elsa, Tyrone, and Alex.
Alex scanned the hope that you were all looking out of as you clenched your fists. Pearl and Tandy were in the medical room getting their injuries checked by Chase and Karolina.
Laura: Amora and Wanda followed the Hell Charger for miles but had to stop to help a cruise liner that was caught in the flames. In other words....
Y/N: We lost Robbie.
Crystal: Damnit.
Elsa: He's a Spirit of Vengeance. He has enough power to set the whole damn world on fire.
Molly: So do most of us. What happened?
You just shook your head as Alex checked the readings.
Alex: Well, the good news is that the Celestial can heal itself. And I got a signal.
Elsa nodded.
Elsa: We'll have to keep an eye out for any Hellfire energy. Maybe we should send some SHIELD agents to LA just to see if he shows up there.
Laura: He won't. The Shadow Colonel will wanna turn his new toy loose where he can do the most damage to the vampire leadership. Which means if we want to find Rob, then we need to find Dracula.
Y/N: We're already on that. At least, one of us is. So, we have news. But it's also very alarming.
You sighed.
Y/N: The Winter Guard has him.
----------------
Loki: So, this is the fearsome Dracula? You seem surpise to have a visitor.
Dracula: We are deep within the bowels of what I could imagine is the most frightful secure prison in all of Russia. No, I'm not surpised a Striker has wormed his way inside. I'm only surpised that it is you, Loki of Asgard.
Loki smirked as he looked at the King of Vampires through the thick layer of glass. Dracula was bound by heavy restraints with a metal mouthguard covering his fangs. Two glass tanks of blood were keeping him alive.
Loki: Monster isn't the only Striker who can do what mortals consider impossible. And thanks to some magic, I've taken control of the security systems. We should be able to speak freely now.
Dracula: I have always spoken freely. I see his lordship Thor did not have the courage to face me himself.
Loki frowned a bit.
Loki: My brother is an Avenger. You have made this a Striker problem. Now we're trying to clean the mess that you had ran and hid from.
Dracula: So the bastard son wishes to accuse me of hiding? How amusing. At least I never sent another man to do my dirty work. Not even to murder a helpless old man.
Loki: I'm pretty sure Monster told me specifically not to kill you. But, he also sent me knowing I am the God of lies and mischief. And you, helpless? I couldn't give less of a damn how many chains the Russians put you in. You're as helpless as I am humble, Lord of Vampires.
Dracula: If only that was the case. There was a time that I would've already sunk my teeth into that fancy clothing of yours, but those days are behind me. I have lost everything but the last few fading wisps of my life. I wish to live in peace and solitude.
Loki just laughed at the ridiculous claim. Dracula simply stood there with a stone cold face.
Loki: What are you really up to, you old bastard? What are you offering the Russians?
Dracula: Wisdom for peace.
Loki crossed his arms as he sighed.
Loki: What if I offer you the same? Help us end this civil war and the Strikers will offer protection. Behind bars, of course, but it's a better deal than Moscow can offer you. That or we can just take you.
Dracula: No, you won't be doing that.
Loki raised a brow.
Loki: Oh, and why not?
Dracula: Because you'll be occupied.
Suddenly, an alarm went off overhead. Loki looked around before he realized that the prison was undergoing a riot. He looked back to Dracula who was unmoving.
He debated it but made his choice as he turned and ran down the hall. In the main block, the prisoners were engaged with a fight against Crimson Dynamo. The Russian was doing his best to get a hold on the situation.
Dynamo: This is Crimson Dynamo in Cell Block Three! What the hell just happened?! The whole prison is losing it's mind! The inmates are like rabid animals! Someone tell me they got eyes on Dracula!
He suddenly found a group of prisoners being thrown across the room. A few more were caught by knives that pinned them to the wall.
The suited man turned around and spotted Loki lifting one of the men over his head.
Loki: He never left his cell but this most definitely his doing.
He threw the prisoner as Dynamo gritted his teeth.
Dynamo: Loki! You sonuva....you're under arrest for breaking and...
Loki: Prisoners first, Dimitri!
Dynamo realized he needed the help and sighed.
Dynamo: Damn it! I told Moscow that we should have stabbed a stake through that monster's heart! How is he doing this?! Is this his plan to espace?!
Loki: He's Dracula, that's how he's doing it. And the scariest part about it is...I don't think he wants to go anywhere.
---------------
Robbie could hear his screams. Only now, it's worse than before. Because now, he wasn't the one screaming.
He was in Madripoor. Dozens of vampires were on their knees, all were of high power. All were scared.
Woman: We are peaceful vampires. We only feast on the blood of the wicked. Please....show mercy.
She begged as did all the others. But the rats with bombs strapped to them did not understand them.
The explosion was large and it quickly deposed of the group. The one responsible laughed.
Rat Bomber: Dining room is clear. As usual, my little beauties are holding the perimeter.
The Colonel nodded to him as Robbie and Sarge followed him through the carnage.
Colonel: The Rat Bomber is always the first wave of attack. What his rodent delivered sun bombs don't obliterate, the second wave deals with most efficiently.
Those who were still alive were quickly sliced down by two blades. Others were tackled by a large bat creature.
Colonel: Snowsnake and Carpathian have been killing these things for as long as there's been things to kill. If I keep them feed, they generally agree not to try and kill me.
The trio reached a hall covered in blood and bodies. Standing there was a woman who smiled at the Colonel.
Cromwell: These ones fought hard and well to protect a safe room at the end of the hall. Must be something very important inside. We figured you'd would like to do the honors.
Colonel: You figured right, Lady Cromwell.
Colonel nodded to her and walked ahead with Robbie following.
Colonel: The Blood Baroness is here because she thinks we're going to help her bring about the Fourth Reich. Sarge is the only one I really trust. As much as you can trust a giant, murderous hellhound.
He approached the door and lifted his gun. He opened fire upon it which caused the metal to strip away. Once he had gotten enough leeway, he kicked it down.
Colonel: I once had other names, but now the Shadow Colonel is all that I am. And with my Legion of the Undead, I am finally weeding out the weakness from the Vampire race so that we can finally claim our true place on the top of the food chain.
The Colonel turned to Robbie as he stood there blankly.
Colonel: And this is where you come in. I need you to help me strike true fear into all the suckheads and fangers out there. This will be the way to prove yourself.
The two looked into the safe room to see all the children inside. The ones that the vampires were trying to protect. They were scared. Crying. Begging.
Colonel: Prove you're the monster I need you to be. Get to burning, Ghost Rider.
Now, everything was quiet. So quiet that Robnie could hear his own skull sizzling. There was so much fire inside of him. Burning him up from the inside. So much that he didn't have a choice, but to let it all out.
So he opened his mouth, and he did.
--------------
Dynamo: Prisoners are back in their cells. And you were right, Loki. Through the whole riot, Dracula never once tried to break free.
Loki stood with Dynamo and two other Winter Guard members. They watched the feed from Dracula's cell that recorded what he was doing during the riot.
He did move an inch.
Dynamo: So why did he do it?
Darkstar: Maybe just to prove that he could.
Vanguard: Or to prove that he's being truthful about what he says. That he really doesn't want to fight anymore.
Loki crossed his arms.
Loki: No offense, Winter Guard, but your masters in Moscow are a bunch of Gods damn idiots if they believe that.
Vanguard: Speaking of idiots, you know we have to arrest you now, Striker.
Loki looked at the three as they turned to him.
Loki: I know you feel like you have to, but don't you Russians have enough enemies?
Dynamo: Loki.
Loki turned around just as Dymano delivered a powerful punch to his gut that lifted him off the floor. Dynamo dropped him to the ground as the Winter Guard turned to leave.
Dynamo: Be grateful that the Bear or the Widow aren't here, or that would just be the beginning. Get out and leave us to our business, or Dracula will gain a new cellmate.
Loki groaned as he held his stomach. He rolled over as he pulled out his Striker Card.
Loki: Monster, this is...ah...Loki. We're not getting Dracula back without....fuck....going to war with the Winter Guard. I'm in so much pain.
Y/N: Copy that. Are you alright? You sound like you....
Loki: Loki out.
He hung up as he groaned.
--------------
Robbie Reyes was the Ghost Rider. A monster from hell. But even a monster has it's limits.
He looked at the room to see the fire consuming the walls, but the children were untouched by the flames.
Colonel: You missed, Rider.
The vampire entered the room with his hand on the handle of his gun.
Colonel: Maybe I didn't make myself clear. The children. I need you to wipe out the entire litter. Now.
Robbie looked over his shoulder at the vampire.
Robbie: No.
The Colonel approached him as he turned around.
Colonel: You can fight against it all you want, Little pony, but it isn't going anywhere. And neither are you. Zarathos, Zakkarum, Invictus.
Robbie cried out as the flames grew even higher over his body. The Colonel lifted his gun towards the children.
Colonel: Yes. Think about that while I finish this myself.
He was about to pull the trigger, but he was stopped by a blast of fire that sent him flying across the room. Robbie turned around to find a hole in the wall with several figures standing there among the fire.
Y/N: Hands in the air, Colonel.
Colonel looked at the Strikers that gathered. You, Wanda, Laura, Amora, Doreen, Molly, Toxin, Crystal, and Elsa.
Y/N: I really need to find more guys for this team.
Elsa: Give us Robbie back!
Wanda: Or suffer the consequences.
The Colonel just laughed.
Colonel: Fine. You don't want to kill the kids, you can kill the Strikers.
Robbie clenched his fists as he turned towards you. You just lifted your claws.
Y/N: Rob, don't make me do this.
Robbie, however, was gone once again. Lost in the depths of his mind.
All that remained was the Spirit of Vengeance.
