You and Victor raced towards town by foot while Wanda flew to the Aurora's camp. No need to hide away anymore.

You weren't as fast as Victor, but you were able to keep up well enough.

Y/N: Where are we going?

Victor: The Langrock Manor.

You and Victor finally reached the main road and continued onwards. You spotted a truck driving up ahead. The driver was in shock and awe when you and Victor sprinted past him.

Victor: You're a mutant, too?

Y/N: Of course I am. Omega level, too.

Victor: Then why didn't you use your powers against me?

Y/N: I can't. If I use my powers, I'll tear myself apart. Something Doom did to me.

Victor: Doom? He's still around.

Y/N: He was, until I kicked his ass and he was taken in by SHIELD. The Ten Rings are still running loose, though.

Victor growled at the name. Of course they would still be around. But they would have to wait. Right now, you had to focus on the problem at hand.

You finally reached the manor and came to a stop. The lights were still on. So someone was home. Good.

You and Victor headed to the front door when you heard someone inside yelling. Sobbing as well.

???: Father, please stop!

Joseph: The day you were born, I knew you were a monster.

You reached the door and broke the knob off. You the pushed it open and followed the voices.

Joseph: You made your beautiful mother bleed and bleed! You killed her!

???: Don't!

You and Victor reached the stairs to the basement where the lights were on. You slowly descended the stairs and found a large cage there. Circling it was Joseph.

Jospeh: When the nurse asked if I wanted to hold you....

???: Stop!

Jospeh: I said no!

Your eyes grew wide when you saw who was in the cage.

Wanda finally reached the camp and touched down. Her eyes went wide when she saw the northern lights. They were brighter. Not just that, either. They were all converging here.

Wanda clenched her fists. She could feel the energy here. The channeling of magic. She quickly charged towards the warehouse, but she didn't even get to the door.

She heard a scream which caused her to stop. More screams followed before it went dead silent. Not a single sound.

Then, the doors opened.

And out came Nicolas Prophet.

Prophet: You have returned! The Long Night is among us, Wanda. Can you feel it?

Wanda looked around before Prophet's followers began to file out from behind him. As they marched, Wanda noticed the cross several of them held. It was a body, without a head.

Wanda: What the hell is this? Is that...

Prophet: Brent Langrock? Indeed, it is. And I can assure you that we did not know him.

Wanda coated her fists with her magic as Prophet approached her.

Prophet: It was the spirit of the Tarrack. It has found it's ultimate sacrifice.

Wanda: Enough ciphers!

Nicolas laughed as his followers continued forward towards the edge of the cliffs.

Prophet: I am merely in touch with a different frequency. I speak to the shadows and they speak back.

Wanda threw a spell at Prophet, but he didn't even move. He actually smacked her magic away.

Prophet: You can not hurt me here. Not while I speak for the Long Night. This is an announcement. Burns will change from this moment forward. And not because of me. Not because of the murders. But because Burns' savior is here. He has arrived after all this time!

He reached up into the sky, just as his followers began to march off the cliffs. Their bodies fell to the dark abyss below as Wanda watched in horror.

Prophet: Goodnight to us all! GOODNIGHT TO US ALL!!!

Joseph: By killing those women, it was like you were killing your mother again and again over and over just to punish me!

The man in the cage grabbed the bars and yelled at his father.

The monster, was Hudson.

Hudson: It was Brent! I was punishing Brent!

Y/N: What the hell?

Hudson: He used to lock me in his trunk and made me listen to what he would do with his dates. Said it was the closet I would get to love. And it gave me pleasure, to kill everything that gave him pleasure!

Victor and you watched as Joseph hit the cage with a club.

Jospeh: Langrocks don't kill Langrocks! You were supposed to be hunting down our enemies! The protesters! Those damn kids! Everyone who stood in our way! I tried to train you. But you're just a disobedient dog!

He suddenly struck Hudson through the bars, sending him to the ground. Hudson began to growl as he held his head.

Jospeh: You brought SHIELD here. You ruined everything!

Hudson: SHUT UP! SHUT UP, YOU DAMN FOOL! YOU DON'T KNOW WHO I AM! WHAT I CAN DO!

You watched as Hudson pushed himself off the floor. Your eyes grew wide as his hair grew longer. His eyes turned red, his hands were now claws.

Joseph: You're nothing special. You're  just a freak of nature. Just like all those damn mutants!

Hudson: You're wrong. You have no idea what I am. Did you know I tried to kill myself, father? But I didn't die. Hudson is dead. You can call me....

Hudson: THE WENDIGO!!!

He tore open the cage and lunged on his father. You popped out your claws and charged forward just in time to catch the beast's claws.

Victor: Y/N!

He charged forward and tackled Hudson to the ground. You turned to Joseph.

Y/N: RUN!

Joseph struggled to get to his feet before he raced up the stairs. Wendigo shoved Victor away and leaped over both of you. He bounced off the walls just as his father reached the top. He ran down the hall, but Wendigo was faster.

He caught his father and grabbed him by his leg before he lifted him up. In one motion, Hudson threw his father through the window and into the snow.

He leaped out after him and slowly stalked towards him. Joseph, bow with a broken leg and bleeding everywhere, tried to crawl away as fast as he could.

Hudson lifted his fist, but you let out a cry and leaped onto his back. You stabbed your claws into the monster making him scream out in pain.

He twisted to try and get you off, but you hung on.

Y/N: Come on, Frosty! I thought you were a friendly snowman!

Hudson: GET OFF!!!

He finally grabbed your wrists and pulled you off of him. He then threw you away towards the lawn. You hit the ground and groaned before Victor leaped out and tackled Wendigo to the ground.

Y/N: This sucks. I want my powers back.

Prophet: We are the Aurora. We celebrate the equinox. Because it is only then, in the profound darkness, that the light of heaven can be seen. The blackness of humanity will bring about the color of the Celestial Kingdom.

Wanda watched as Prophet reached his hands towards the sky. He began to laugh before he looked at her.

Prophet: This is the Long Night, Wanda. Can't you see that this will bring about a new age?

Wanda: This is madness.

Prophet: This is destiny. You just don't see it yet. But you will. Do you know what the Aurora really is?

Wanda looked as Prophet reached into his pocket. He pulled out a small mirror and lifted it up into the sky. It began to glow brightly in a magnificent light.

Prophet: It is a gateway, to other worlds. Other possibilities.

He slowly lowered it and threw it at Wanda's feet.

Prophet: Look at it. See the truth.

Wanda hesitated for a moment before she picked the mirror off the ground. She looked into it and her eyes went wide.

It was you. But, you didn't look like you.

You were older. Your hair was longer. You looked stronger. You wore what looked to be armor, and you were smiling.

Prophet: The new age begins. And none of us can stop it. Goodnight, Wanda. Goodnight.

Wanda looked up just to see Prophet vanish before her eyes. She then looked up and saw thatbthe sky had gotten brighter.

Wanda: What is this?

She shook her head and tucked the mirror on her pocket. She charged forward and dropped to her knees. She put her hands on the ground.

She could feel them. The Ley Lines.

She could feel them run under Burns.

She just needed to break them.

Wendigo knocked Victor away before he turned back to his father. Jospeh contiued to try and get away, but he didn't get far. Hudson picked him up by his head and clasped it between his palms.

Joseph: T-The boy finally...grew up...to be...the monster I knew he...was...

Hudson growled as he began to squeeze his hands against his father's head. Jospeh screamed out as his feet trashed under him and his hands tried to pull away Hudson's.

You pushed yourself up and watched just as Hudson let out one last roar. Then, Jospeh was no more.

Hudson gave on last squeeze which finally crushed his father's skull and splattered his brains against Hudson's white fur.

He dropped his father's body and turned towards you and Victor.

Y/N: Old man? Get up!

Victor got to his feet and looked at Hudson.

Victor: I've fought worst. Think you can handle this, kid?

You just looked at him.

Y/N: Seriously? I was an Avenger in training. Plus, you forgot already.

You activated the markings on your hands which created flames that coated your hands.

Y/N: I'm a Godslayer.

You yelled out and charged forward towards Hudson who let out a loud roar. You reached him and ducked under his claws. You then delivered a powerful uppercut. Victor moved in and used Hudson's staggering to deliver a punch of his own.

You leaped back and threw a ball of fire which hit Hudson and sent him to the ground.

You and Victor watched as Hudson shook around.

Hudson pushed himself back up and glared at you and Victor. He then looked over towards the town below. The dark town where people gathered with their torches, ready to confront the cult.

Y/N: No!

Hudson suddenly leaped towards the town and began to run on all fours.

Y/N: Why don't they ever listen?!

You and Victor gave chase through the snow and the trees. You had to stop him. He'll kill as many as he can. You couldn't let him.

Wanda continued her search for the Ley Lines before she found them. There. She opened her eyes and quickly casted a spell to hold onto them. But it was too powerful. She created another magical chain and struggled to get to her feet.

She began to pull on the lines with her power the hardest she could. They were too powerful. Prophet was right. The Ley Lines all met here.

Wanda: Come on!

She cried out as she tried to tear the lines apart. Above, the lights began to shift and change.

Mallory looked around the gathered mob as they argued about what to do. Some wanted to find and kill the cult, others wanted to bargain with them.

But their conversations came to an erupt end when a loud roar echoed through the air. Everyone gathered looked around in confusion. Then, Hudson crashed through one of the shops and appeared in the town square.

Many screamed, others ran. But Hudson didn't care. He just saw his prey. He was ready to kill.

He charged towards the group, but he was instead tackled by Victor. Everyone watched as Victor was thrown off before you appeared and slammed a flaming fist into the beast.

You grabbed Hudson's arm and twisted your body before you flung Hudson to the ground. You could feel your body start to hurt. Right. You weren't as strong as before. You would need to work on that later.

Hudson kicked you away but Victor immediately dug his claws into the beast.

You stood up and groaned before you looked back at the crowd.

Y/N: Everyone needs to get to safety! Go!

You turned back towards Hudson and popped out your claws.

Hudson stood back up but you charged forward and activated your markings. You coated your claws with your flames and leaped up into the air. You went to stab into Hudson, but he punched you gut and slammed you into the ground.

You felt the blood rush up to your mouth before it sprayed out. Hudson then grabbed you and lifted you into the air.

Hudson: YOU WILL DIE HERE!

You grinned as he tightened his grip around your neck.

Y/N: H-Harder...daddy....gah!

You grabbed Hudson's wrists as you kicked your feet. You struggled before you started to kick at him. You kicked again, and again, before something happened.

You kicked again, but something stabbed out of your foot.

Your newly discovered fourth blade stabbed into Hudson's chest, causing him to scream. He dropped you to the ground and you looked at your foot.

Y/N: Hey. Look at that. Eat dust, Laura!

You leaped back up and grinned.

Y/N: Bring it on, you ugly son of a bitch.

You winced.

Y/N: You know, Venom was better at trash talk than I am.

You just shrugged and charged forward. You leaped up and sliced Hudson's hand before you stabbed into his chest. You continued to stab into Hudson before your dad grabbed him from behind. You leaped off of Hudson just as Victor picked him up.

Victor lifted him over his head and let out a roar before he looked to the statue.

Victor: These are my people. You're done killing.

He marched over to the statue as Hudson thrashed around. You watched as Victor raised Hudson into the sky.

At that moment, Wanda finally broke the Ley Lines. And Victor slammed Hudson onto the tip of the statue.

It was here, at this moment, that a ripple was sent out around the world.

One that would change everything.

Indeed, a new age was started.

Not of heroes, however.

Everyone watched as Hudson slowly died, impaled by the statue's blade. Victor turned towards you as you caught your breath. He walked your way and placed a hand on your shoulder.

Victor: Good job.

You nodded in thanks before the lights around you began to turn on. The town watched as the lights that were missing suddely reappear.

You and Victor looked around before you looked at each other. You just smiled as you held out your hand.

Y/N: My name is Y/N. I'm your son.

Victor looked at your hand for a moment. He then reached out and shook it.

Victor: Victor. Guess I'm your father.

Y/N: We're gonna have to clean this up now, huh?

Victor: Yep. Guess we have a lot to catch up on.

You shrugged.

Y/N: Guess so.
