You let out a yawn as you sat in the Quinjet next to Wanda and Robbie.

Tandy: Any reason why we had to leave so early? The sun won't be up for another three hours.

Victor: Missions don't wait for you to wake up from your beauty sleep.

Everyone groaned as Bobbi flew the jet towards the research station. It was ran by a space centered group that called themselves Alpha Flight. Unfortunately, you would only be meeting their leader.

At the current moment, Molly was asleep, leaning on Victor, while Robbie struggled to keep his eyes open. Tyrone was even trying his hardest to stay awake.

You, Laura, and Wanda were pretty used to waking up this early thanks to Laura's time in the X-Men and Widow's surpise training sessions.

Tandy: Look, all I'm saying it doesn't have to be all work work work. I say we should get away. Take a break and relax. Have some fun!

Bobbi: Science is fun.

You all looked at her but she just shrugged without looking back.

Bobbi: Stare at me all you want. Doesn't matter. Get ready to land.

The Quinjet reached the research center, located between some hills a couple of miles away from the nearest town, and touched down on the landing pad. You all got up and walked off the jet.

It was freezing.

Y/N: Maybe Tandy is right. I think Tony could set us up with something.

Bobbi: Tony? Why would you ask Tony?

???: You mean besides the good looks, money, and armor?

You all looked around but the voice came from above. You all looked up as a glowing figure slowly landed in the platform.

Bobbi: Carol. I'm so glad you called. I missed you.

Carol: I missed you too, Bobbi.

The two hugged while the rest of you tried to not freeze. You lifted your hand and created a small ball of fire which everyone immediately crowded around. Victor just grunted.

Toxin: She's pretty.

Carol looked over to you all and smiled.

Carol: As much as I love seeing you, they're actually the ones I need to see. I need their help.

You all looked at her in surpise before your fire went out.

All: Really?

Carol lead you through the halls of the base and towards the main hub. Everything here was so advanced. It almost felt like you walked into one of those old sci-fi shows Tyrone and Robbie were always watching.

Carol: I've heard a lot about you kids from Fury. Your track record is pretty impressive considering you haven't been doing this long.

Y/N: Thanks. It helps that I have an actually good team.

Laura: So, what is this place exactly? I thought SWORD dealt with space stuff.

Carol: They did, before they folded. Long story, but why would you need a government ran program when you got the Avengers? Besides, Alpha Flight doesn't go straight to conflict. Our mission is to negotiate first.

Robbie: And you need us? Sorry to tell you, lady, but we aren't exactly the most peaceful group.

Carol nodded as she reached a large monitor. You all gathered around and looked at it.

Carol: Kids, this is Dr. Philip Lawson. He's our lead scientist here.

The man in the chair stood up and smiled as he walked over to Victor.

Dr. Philip: I can't tell you how excited I am to meet you, Monster.

Victor: Wrong person.

The man raised a brow and turned to the group. You raised your hand.

Y/N: That would be me. Nice to meet you, Doc.

You shook his hand as he laughed.

Dr. Philip: Apologies. I have to remind myself sometimes that we have younger heroes running around now.

Tandy nudged Wanda and leaned over to whisper.

Tandy: He's cute.

You looked over to see Tandy waving at the older man. Wanda just sighed.

Wanda: Subtle.

Carol: This is what I wanted to show you.

She changed the monitor to so a map of the solar system.

Carol: This is a SHIELD satellite. We caught a glimpse of an object a few days ago. We figured it was a comic at first, or even a passing spaceship.

The monitor changed to show a large ship, but it looked a bit odd. Like it was messing with the signal.

Molly: Wait, like Aliens?! Are they going to put their eggs in our stomachs and blow us up?!

Everyone looked at her before they turned back to the screen.

Toxin: That sounds scary.

Y/N: So why did you need us to see this?

Carol: Well, because this is a Kree warship.

The Kree? Like, those alien dudes with blue skin? Why are they so close to earth?

Robbie: I thought they weren't welcomed here.

Carol: They aren't. At least, not unless it's for diplomatic reasons.

You watched the screen before the ship released something. You watched it seemingly made a turn and headed straight for the feed.

Tyrone: That looks bad.

The feed was suddenly cut and something began to shine from above.

Y/N: And that looks worse.

The ship flew overhead and you watched through the windows. It crashed right through the satellite dish, destroying it, and cutting the power to the room.

Carol: See the problem.

Y/N: Well, since I can't see anything, yeah. I see the problem.

You leaped from tree to tree with Laura while Wanda flew alongside you. Robbie drove his car through the woods towards the crash site while Carol lead the way.

Y/N: So, you think this is an attack? Like, a war declaration?

Carol: I'm hoping not, but we can't be too sure. Stay sharp.

You eventually reached the large crater where the ship had crashed and came to a stop. You and Laura jumped down while Wanda landed and everyone got out of the car.

A strange purple glow seemed to surround the area, but the ship was missing.

Carol: Well that's disappointing.

Tandy: And you're sure that these are aliens?

You slid your way down the crater and looked around. Laura joined you while the others looked around above.

Laura: Hm. Footprints. So someone was definitely here.

Y/N: Toxin.

Toxin appeared on your shoulder.

Y/N: You think you could sense them if they're still close?

Toxin: Maybe. I dunno.

You gave a friendly smile.

Y/N: Give it a shot.

Toxin nodded and looked around. However, you were all unaware that someone was watching you. Just out if view.

Toxin: Someone's here!

You and Laura looked at each other. You suddenly heard a noise and a blast came from nowhere, causing you both to duck. The others turned around and Tandy threw out some daggers.

You got back to your feet and looked around. So someone really was here.

You and Laura quickly got out of the crater and rejoined the others.

Robbie: Where is it?!

You all looked around the dark forest, but you couldn't see the attacker. Your senses suddenly went off.

Y/N: Get down!

Everyone scattered as more shots were fired from the tree lines. You all took cover while Carol flew up. She fired off her blasts but none of them landed.

Carol: They're camouflaged!

So you wouldn't even be able to find them. Great.

You jumped out into the open and stood there. Focus. Wait.

Tandy: What are you....

Your senses went off and you popped out your claws. You blocked the blast, and immediately dashed forward towards where it came from. You swiped your claws at what seemed to be thin air, but they connected with something.

There was a spark before you were smacked away by an unseen hand. You landed as the others regrouped on you.

Suddenly, a large metallic figure came into view. It's camouflage was glitches in and out, but you could see it.

Molly: What is that thing?

Carol: Kree sentry. Be careful. These things are highly dangerous.

As if to prove her point, the Sentry's eyes began to glow. Suddenly, it fired off a powerful blast of vibrations which sent most of you flying. Wanda caught herself with her magic while you and Laura hung onto some trees. Tyrone flew up with Carol, but the rest weren't so lucky.

It began to walk towards you but just popped out your claws.

Y/N: It's just another robot. They all go down the same.

The sentry turned it's attention to the research center and began to walk towards it.

Y/N: Shit. Carol, you need to go and evacuate everyone! We'll buy you time!

Carol nodded and flew back towards the center. Everyone else turned to you.

Robbie: Seriously?

Y/N: What?

Laura: You just sent away an experienced Avenger.

Y/N: So? We're experienced Strikers.

Tandy: That's not the same thing!

Y/N: It doesn't mat...AHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhh....!

You were suddenly smacked away by the sentry mid sentence, leaving the others alone.

At that time, Carol reached the base and hurried to the main hub. There, she found Victor, Bobbi, and Dr. Philip.

Carol: Everyone, we're evacuating!

Victor: Evacuating? Why? And where are the kids?

Y/N: ahhhhhhhhhhhhhHHHHHHHHH!!

You suddenly crashed through the overhead windows and landed in the room. You quickly shot up to your feet and bounced a bit.

Y/N: I'm good.

You used Toxin to slingshot yourself back through the window and back into the fight.

Bobbi: That kid is...seriously messed up mentally.

Victor: He eats soup with a fork. Of course he's not right in the head.

Robbie drove around the sentry as to draw it's attention while Cloak and Laura tried to slice through it. Wanda was throwing out spell after spell, but it wasn't enough.

Molly: Can't Ty just use his cloak?

Tyrone: It's too big. I've never teleported something this size before.

Laura: And there's no telling what might happen if this thing self destructs inside of his cloak.

Y/N: BONZAI!

Everyone looked up to see you falling from the air. You flipped around and ignited your feet which speed you up as you popped out your claws.

The Sentry looked up, but it was too slow to react. You ended up sending yourself right through it, leaving a large hole in your wake.

The Sentry fell over as you stood up.

Y/N: Ha! Space junk is still junk.

Everyone gathered around as you all looked at the Sentry. Suddenly, it fired something out of it's back and into the sky. You all watched as the light slowly vanished.

Robbie: Uh, what was that?

Wanda: I do not know. I'm afraid technology isn't my field of expertise.

Tandy: I don't think that applies to any of us. But that looked like a beacon.

Toxin: I like bacon.

Y/N: No, beacon, bud. It means that this thing just sent out a message fo whoever sent it.

Toxin: Oh. That's not good.

Laura: No. It definitely doesn't sound like it.

Everyone back at the station got to work with fixing up the base by the time you all returned. Carol looked up at the sound of you all approaching.

She stood up and walked over to you.

Carol: How did it go?

Y/N: Well, we destroyed it. That's the good news.

Victor: And the bad news?

Molly: It sent a laser into space.

Tandy: A beacon, most likely.

Toxin: Which is not the same as bacon.

Carol crossed her arms, suddenly worried. You noticed this.

Y/N: So, what happens now?

Carol: Now, we hope this doesn't start a war.

Tyrone: Even though they attacked us first?

Carol: The kree are....strange like that. But, this can be handled with the Avengers. I shouldn't have gotten you kids involved.

You crossed your arms.

Y/N: Yeah, well these kids just saved your ass. So you're welcome.

You turned away and headed for the door. The others followed as Carol watched. She sighed as Bobbi walked over to her.

Bobbi: So?

Carol: This was all a mistake. I know Tony wanted me to check in on them to see if they were ready, but I don't think they are.

Victor: That's because you messed up.

The two turned to him.

Victor: These kids aren't Avengers.

He then went to follow you to the jet. Bobbi and Carol stood there, thinking about his worlds.

You weren't Avengers. No.

You were something else entirely.

And soon, the whole world will know.

The whole galaxy.

And everything in between.
