Strikers

You rode with Robbie through the streets of LA in search of the creature. You sent a text to Kate to try and see where they were.

Y/N: I think it's nearby. Hawkeye said that they tracked it to some neighborhood in Hillrock Heights.

Robbie looked at you a bit worried. He didn't say anything as he hit the gas to speed up.

Robbie: Look, I know I said I would help you guys, but my first priority is my brother.

You nodded.

Y/N: I get it.

You would do the same. You looked at your phone before you tucked it away. You looked out the window and found a car being thrown into the air. You and Robbie watched it before it crashed right in front of the car.

Robbie hit the brakes and turned the wheel. You and him both got out of the car and rushed over to see Laura and Kate fighting the creature.

Y/N: Shit.

Robbie: This isn't good. This is my neighborhood.

You looked at him as he clenched his fists.

Eli: Oh. Simple Simon might be in trouble.

Robbie: Shut it!

You raised a brow before Robbie transformed into his Rider form.

Robbie: I'll be back. I have to make sure my brother gets out of here.

You nodded and popped out your claws. Robbie summoned his car and drove off while you charged towards the fight.

Laura: Where's the flaming skull guy going?!

Y/N: He's helping his brother. He'll be back to help us.

Kate: He better! We need some serious back up!

You just groaned. If you didn't use your powers to fight Robbie, you would've been able to use them now. You ducked under the attack and charged forward to slice it.

To Laura and Kate's surpise, your claws managed to actually cut through it's armor. You stabbed into the creature but it swatted you away. You managed to land on your feet while Kate fired off an arrow into the open wound. The creature cried out as the arrow erupted.

Laura: How didnyou cut it?

You looked at her confused.

Y/N: Well, I just kinda...

You slowly swiped your claws in the air.

Laura: No shit, Sherlock. I couldn't hurt it. It's armor was too thick.

Y/N: How? It copied my powers. It should be made of the same thing as the metal in my body.

You and Laura looked at your claws. But, to your surpise, you found that yours was actually slightly darker in color. Wait, wasn't it the same metal as Laura's?

Kate: Stop comparing claws and help me fight this thing!

You snapped out of you thoughts and nodded. You and Laura charged forward while Kate provided cover fire.

Robbie reached his home and changed back to his human form. Everyone was evacuating the area so no one even cared that he was there.

He hurried into the house and looked around.

Robbie: Gabe?!

Gabe: Robbie!

Robbie followed his voice to his room. He found his brother watching the fight through the window. Robbie quickly grabbed his brother's bag and set it on his wheelchair.

Robbie: Come on. We have to go.

Gabe: What about our home?

Robbie: It'll be fine. Come on.

Robbie grabbed his brother's chair and started to push him out of the room. However, he found himself suddenly frozen in place. He tried to move, but he couldn't.

Robbie: What the hell?

Eli: Oh. Won't you look at that. Someone seems to be losimg control.

Robbie found his arm moving on it's own. No. Eli was moving it.

Robbie: Eli....

Gabe: Robbie?

Eli: I really hate this kid, you know. Even before he was born. My bitchy little sister just wouldn't shit up about him.

Eli took over Robbie's body and let go of Gabe's wheelchair. He then walked over to the kitchen and opened one of the drawers.

Robbie: Eli, not now. We have to get out of here!

Eli: No. Not we. Just me and you. The brat stays.

Eli picked up a knife and turned back to Gabe.

Robbie: Eli!

Eli: You'll thank me later.

Eli approached Gabe as he watched in fear. Robbie struggled for control but Eli just grinned as he raised the knife.

However, he found a chain wrapped around his wrist.

Johnny: Not so fast, Eli.

Eli looked over to find Johnny standing there in his Rider form. Gabe looked between the man and his brother in horror.

Eli: What the hell are you doing here?

Johnny: I'm here to stop you. You won't have power over this boy anymore.

Eli just laughed as he changed into his Rider form. Gabe tried to move his wheelchair, but he couldn't.

Eli: Fine. Be that way.

You leaped over the creature and stabbed into it. Laura was working on trying to get it's attention while Kate continued to fire off any arrows she had left.

You stabbed into the creature as it cried out before it threw you off.

You landed on a car but you quickly got back up. You threw out a magic rope and trapped it's arms.

Y/N: Cut the arms!

Laura charged forward and sliced the opening between the armor plates which cut the arms off. You got rid of the rope and summoned magical flames. You charged forward and leaped up before you were swatted out of the air again.

You ended up crashing into Kate, knocking her off her feet. You bkth hit the ground while Laura blocked it's attack.

Laura: This thing is seriously annoying!

Y/N: I know!

You helped Kate back up but she saw that her bow was now busted.

Kate: Shit.

Y/N: Welp, time for Plan B.

You took some of her arrows and let out a battle cry before you charged forward. The girls watched as you sprinted towards the creature with the arrows in your hands. You then leaped up and stabbed them into the wound that you had made.

Kate activated them and they erupted just as you leaped away.

Johnny was thrown through the wall of the house which sent him.back onto the street. Eli laughed as he followed the other Rider.

Eli: This is just sad. I expected more from a Spirt of Vengeance. Whatever that is.

Johnny pushed himself up and glared at Eli. However, nothing happened.

Eli: I may be guilty of a lot of shit, but the kid isn't. You can't damn me without damning him!

He kicked at Johnny, but Johnny dodged. He got to his feet and the two began to circle each other.

Johnny: I'm saving that kid. One way or another.

Eli: You can try.

Gabe, meanwhile, ended up falling from his chair. He then began to crawl himself across the floor towards the two.

Gabe: Robbie!

Eli ignored him. However, Johnny noticed the boy.

Johnny: Shit!

Johnny went to get him, but Eli grabbed him and threw him away.

Eli: Focus on me, Blaze!

Gabe watched as Eli summoned his chain. Robbie fought to get back control, but it was pointless. Eli was in full control now.

Johnny: You can't win this.

Eli: Looks like I already did.

Eli lifted the chain, but he was suddenly thrown off his feet by the purple creature which was in turn thrown by you. You and the others rushed over and you found Johnny.

Y/N: The hell are you doing here?

Johnny: Forget that! Why is there a monster here?!

Y/N: Forget that! I asked first!

Kate: What is going on?!

Eli pushed the monster off of him before he stood up. He then looked at it.

Eli: What do we have here?

Eli placed his hand against the creature, but it suddenly got up. You all watched with wide eyes as the creature bit down on Eli.

Johnny: No.

Eli began to laugh as he felt himself being pulled out of Robbie's body. Robbie slowly gained control again before he fell back onto the street.

He looked up as the creature began to freak out and cry as it stumbled around.

Y/N: What just happened?

Laura: It took the guy's DNA.

Johnny: No. It took Eli's soul!

Robbie watched as the creature was suddenly surrounded by hellish flames and the face changed around before Robbie recognized it.

Eli: This is what I'm talking about!

Eli looked at his new body while Robbie looked at his hand. He didn't feel any different. He was.....the same.

Gabe: Robbie!

Robbie looked over to his brother. He quickly got up and hurried to help him, but Eli was faster. You all watched as Eli quickly grabbed the boy and held him up into the air.

Robbie: Gabe!

Eli: Hahaha! Look how things turned out, kid! I told you, warned you! But you never listened!

Robbie: Let him go!

Y/N: Laura, Johnny, we have to help him.

Laura: How?! We can barley hurt him!

Johnny: We have to do what we can. Eli can't escape with this body.

Robbie: Eli, stop this! Leave Gabe alone!

Eli: Are you giving me orders?! You're a damn fool!

Gabe was crying now as he tried to escape.

Gabe: Robbie!

Eli: Shut up! Shut up, you pest!

Robbie: Stop!

Gabe: ROBBIE!

Eli: SHUT UP!

Then, time slowed down. You and the others charged forward to save Gabe. To beat Eli. But you were too slow.

Eli lifted Gabe into the air, and slammed him into the ground. Robbie felt the world around him suddenly slow down as he watched.

The pavement cracked under the hit.

Robbie watched as Eli pulled his hand away. Left behind, was Gabe. Robbie's eyes grew wide as you and the others finally engaged Eli.

While you fought, Robbie slowly dragged himself to his brother. He reached a hand out and looked at him. He couldn't even hear the fight going on. He didn't even see it.

Robbie: Gabe?

Gabe looked at his brother in pain as he shook.

Gabe: R-Robb...ie...?

Robbie placed a hand on his arm gently as he looked at his body. It was beyond repair. Blood was everywhere. This was a nightmare. This couldn't be happening. Not like this.

Gabe: It...hurts...

Robbie: I know. I know, bud. It'll be okay.

Robbie tried to help somehow, but Gabe grabbed his arm.

Gabe: H-Help...them...

Robbie looked at his brother confused. Gabe looked over to the fight.

Gabe: They....need...help....

Robbie: No. No, they're fine. You need help. I need to help you...

Gabe: They...need your...power....

Robbie's eyes grew wide.

Robbie: What...

Gabe: I know......you're the....Ghost Rider.....

Gabe coughed which stabbed at Robbie's heart even more.

Gabe: Go...be a....hero....like....I know....you....are.....bro......

Robbie felt his grip suddenly loosen. Robbie looked at his brother as he stopped moving. He stopped shaking. Robbie placed a hand on her shoulder.

Robbie: Gabe?

No response.

Robbie: Gabe?!

His brother was gone.

Robbie: No. No no no no!

He grabbed his brother and held him as he cried. He prayed. Begged. He wanted him back. This wasn't right. None of this was right.

Robbie: I'm sorry. I'm so sorry.

He slowly looked up at Eli as he felt something inside him crack.

Robbie: But I'll make sure to deliver justice upon your murderer.

Robbie slowly set his brother down as he stood up. He clenched his fists and stepped forward. As he did, his foot caught ablazed.

Robbie: You asked me what I was going to do, Eli. Well, here's tour fucking answer!

Robbie began to rush forward as his body began to transform into a Spirit of Vengeance before he summoned his chain.

He threw it and you watched as it wrapped around Eli's body.

Laura: Ghost Rider! Thank God. We need some help with....

Robbie: He's mine!

You all jumped back as the sound of the car echoed in the air. Robbie pulled on his chain which caused Eli to fall forward. However, the car flew up and slammed right into him, sending him backwards.

Robbie cried out as he opened his mouth and a mess of flames sprouted out towards the creature.

Kate: What is he doing?!

Y/N: He's burning the creature's body.

Laura: How? It's covered by hell flames.

Johnny grinned.

Johnny: Nah. His flames are hotter.

Robbie released as much power as he could at the creature as Eli cried out. The flames consumed him in whole as Robbie relased all his rage, pain, sadness, and anger. The flames inside of him only grew more powerful and more brighter.

Gabe was gone. He had nothing left, now. He had nothing to lose.

So he was going to go all in.

Eli found the new body starting to break away.

Eli: Damnit, kid. You fucking brat!

Eli cried out as the creature was finally destroyed. Robbie stopped his attack and watched as the ashes slowly flew into the air.

Eli: This isn't over, Reyes.

Didn't matter. Robbie could wait until he comes back. No matter what body he had. No matter what power he has.

Robbie was going to take him down.

Y/N: Woah. He's strong.

Johnny looked back at Gabe's body and sighed.

Johnny: Doesn't matter. We all lost.

You watched as Robbie stood over the newly dug grave in the same cemetery his parents were buried in.

He wore his jacket but he had a fresh bouquet of flowers in his hand.

Robbie: I'm sorry, bro. I messed up.

Gabe's grave was a simple one, but Robbie didn't have to worry about paying for anything. You made sure that SHIELD covered every bill.

Your favor from Bobbi.

Laura: This is rough.

You sighed. You had to agree. You knew what Robbie was feeling right now. It wasn't easy. But, it does get better. It just takes time.

Laura was sitting in the roof of the car while you leaned against it.

Y/N: So, you're coming with me to Burns?

Laura nodded.

Laura: I kinda hate it over at the Program. They're too....nice.

You chuckled a bit.

Y/N: Of course you think that. Well, welcome to the Strikers.

Robbie set the flowers on his brother's grave and took a deep breath.

Robbie: I'm going to be a hero now, bro. Just like you wanted. I swear.

He sighed and turned away towards the car. Laura jumped down and you pushed yourself off of the car. Robbie reached you and stopped.

Robbie: So, Alaska.

You nodded.

Robbie: Well, guess we better get going, then.

Y/N: Alright.

You all climbed into the car and Robbie started it up. He hesitated for a moment before he turned to you.

Robbie: How do I get there?

You looked at him for a moment before you turned back to the road.

Y/N: Just drive. We'll get there eventually.

Robbie nodded.

Robbie: I can deal with that.

He hit the gas and the car headed forward.

And so, you gained two new members.
