Laura and Pearl watched as the Sea Hunter swung her spear around, blocking the incoming mini missiles that the ships fired off.

Sea Hunter: Stay lively, girls! You don't want to end up in the belly of the Alontech Sea Wolves.

Laura: What do they even want?

Sea Hunter pulled back her spear.

Sea Hunter: Your friend, Wave, of course. Cut open on the operating table so they can figure out how they gave her powers to begin with.

Pearl: You know about my powers?

Sea Hunter smiled at her.

Sea Hunter: Oh, I try to keep track of Alontech's experiments. Kind of a personal interest, given that I was their first!

She threw her spear and the two girls watched as it flew through the air. It flew right into one of the thrusters which erupted.

Pearl: Wait, what?!

Laura: Don't listen to her, Wave! She trying to trick us!

They had no idea who the hell this woman was. Or even what she wanted. There was no way to trust her just because she knew about Pearl.

If anything, it should raise even more red flags!

Pearl: Maybe, but I'm curious...

Sea Hunter: More it, ladies!

Sea Hunter ran past the girls and they looked up to see the ship falling from the sky. Laura and Pearl immediately turned and ran as the shop came crashing down.

Pearl: Watch out!

Pearl used her powers to create a shield of somekind to protect them from the debris, but one piece of metal ended up hitting Sea Hunter.

Laura: Shit.

She didn't trust her, but she couldn't just let her die.

She moved to help her, but another missile hit the sand next to her. She stepped back and looked up at the two other ships.

Pearl turned to one, and used the water from the shield to create a whirlpool which flew up towards it. It spiraled upwards and stabbed right into it, blowing it up.

Laura: My turn. Can I get a boost?

Pearl nodded and used the water to sent Laura flying right towards the ship. She popped her claws out and stabbed right into the metal.

Pearl watched as she dissapered into the ship. She stood there for a moment before the ship suddenly started to fall from the sky.

Laura quickly jumped out and free fell from the sky. Pearl caught her as the ship crashed in the jungle.

Pearl: Yeah! That was awesome!

Laura smiled as she retacted her claws. She then noticed that someone was missing.

Laura: Where is the Sea Hunter?

Sea Hunter: Don't worry about me.

The two girls turned to the water and found Sea Hunter, being held up by mermaid like creatures who held spears.

Sea Hunter: I'm in good hands.

Pearl and Laura looked at each other.

Pearl: Okay, now I'm really curious.

Laura: Yeah. So am I.

Sea Hunter: I uses to work for Alontech. That's how I got my equipment and my original armor. They wanted to dominate the seas. And I was supposed to be the first human weapon in their armory.

Laura sat next to Pearl on a love seat across from the recovering Sea Hunter, and her lover. But the real kicker was that they were miles under the water in a hidden city just beneath the rocks.

Pearl was fine, but Laura needed a water suit which she took from the Quinjet. Thank God you made the investment.

Sea Hunter: But then I met the Sirenas. I thought they were just myths. But, they were real. And they stole my heart.

Her lover laughed as she ran a hand (fin?) through her hair.

Carina: Oh, really? I thought I stole your heart all on my own.

Sea Hunter smiled.

Sea Hunter: Ah. That's the way it was, wasn't it, Carina?

Pearl: Awww~

Laura: Hm.

Laura didn't really know how to feel about this whole situation. It was....odd.

And she hated to admit to herself that she might actually need your help in all of this. However, she didn't really know what it was you were doing.

(This is currently taking place alongside the New York Arc, FYI)

She had claws. That was about it. And she was all but immobile under water. If something happened here, she wouldn't be much help.

And the way this was going, there was sure to be a fight.

Pearl: Wait, so, why is Alontech attacking? Wouldn't they want to work with you?

Sea Hunter looked to her lover.

Carina: Sure don't take well to outsiders. When they found out I had a human lover, they cast me and my family out. And Alontech wasn't happy either. They wanted us gone.

Pearl shot up with her fists balled.

Pearl: So why are we just waiting here?! Alontech wants to create soldiers to attack the people under water. That's...that's why they created me.

Laura watched as realization crossed Pearl's face. It wasn't an accident. They meant to give her these powers. They meant to create a weapon.

And that was what finally caused Laura to activate her card. The signal was sent.

Sea Hunter: Keep frowning and your face will get stuck that way.

Pearl: This isn't funny.

Carina: Calm down, girl. Alontech is always coming for us. We'll make do. Just like always.

Laura: So if we leave now, could we draw them away?

The three looked at her. Sea Hunter gave it some thought.

Sea Hunter: Maybe. I mean, if you were smart you'd get out of here while you still ca...

Pearl: We aren't going anywhere.

Laura sighed as she stood up.

Laura: We'll help you fight.

Pearl and Laura swam through the water towards to take the high watch while the soldiers began to gather on the bottom. Laura watched them as Pearl lead the way.

Pearl: This is tricky. Too much kelp.

She turned around to face Laura.

Pearl: Think you could, like, slice through?

Laura: I can, but we need to talk.

Pearl raised her brow as Laura swam to her. She gave it some much needed thought, and she came to a conclusion. One that she really didn't want to confess to.

Laura: Look, this might be too much for the two of us to handle. I'm practically worthless underwater. We need back up.

Pearl: No way! I'm not going to ask Triumph Division for help!

Laura: Not them, bozo. This isn't about Red Feather or whatever anymore. We're about to get involved in some kind of war. I know their story is romantic and whatever, but we only have their side of the story. This whole thing could be a trap.

Indeed. At any moment these people could come and take them hostage. Namor already declared war and it was only a matter of time before all underwater forces joined him.

This wasn't just a mission.

This was a massive risk.

However, before the girl could continue their discussion, there was a loud blast overhead. They looked up to see a dark cloud start to block out the sunlight from above.

Laura squinted her eyes before they went wide.

It wasn't a cloud.

It was a swarm.

Sea Hunter: They're here!

Pearl immediately swam into action and slammed a fist into one of the fish like creatures. Laura popped our her claws and groaned.

Laura: As always, their timing is terrible.

She'll have to stall. She activated her jet boosters on her suit and swam towards the horde and began to slice through the creatures.

Soon, a full scale battle erupted with both sides drawing green and blue blood.

Sea Hunter: Be careful, girls! These are Alontech Hybrids! They'll tear you to pieces!

Laura: They can try!

She stabbed into one and kicked it away before she dove straight down into another.

???: Impressive.

Laura and Pearl looked up to see the one leading the attack. She looked just like the other Sirenas. But, she had armor that resembled Sea Hunter's.

???: But now you face the Reyna Sirena!

Laura: The Reyna Sirena?

Pearl: The Queen of Mermaids.

Sea Hunter: And head of Alontech.

The two girls looked at her in surpise.

Laura/Pearl: WHAT?!

The queen mermaid swam up and held her spear out, pointing it at Pearl.

Reyna Sirena: You are the missing piece that we need to defeat Atlantis!

Y/N: WE CALLED DIBS FIRST!

Everyone looked up in surpise before Reyna Sirena felt an incredible force to her face. She flew down into the rock and crashed through them. A cloud of rubble flew up as everyone stopped fighting with wide eyes.

They then looked up to see you, Wanda, Loki, and Amora slowly descending down towards Laura.

You landed and she noticed you weren't wearing a swim suit. None of you did.

Y/N: Hey, buddy. Thanks for the call. So, uh, wanna catch me up?

Carina: Reyna Sirena is dead!

You all looked over to see the Sirenas leader holding the queen up. She was indeed dead.

Y/N: Oh, shit. Did I fucking kill her?!

Pearl: You....

Sea Hunter: He just....ended the war.

You raised a brow confused.

Y/N: What war? Wait, what's going on?! I brought the others for a fight, but what's going on?

Wanda: I think, whatever is going on, you just ended it.

Y/N: Oh. Uh.......sorry?

Pearl: My mission to prove myself. It's....ruined.

Loki: Well, what did you expect when you called a man who was created to literally slay Gods?

Laura: Help. Not the end of our mission. I mean.....we were in the road for an amazing journey.

Amora: Oh, boohoo. Journey is over.

Y/N: Well....we have new swords for you.

Loki held out the new swords you had made for Pearl. She slowly took them and looked at you with wide eyes. She was still I shock at your sheer power.

Really, you just wanted to kick her. You just upped the strength since you were underwater. However, you miscalculated and went a bit too hard.

You still weren't entirely sure what it was you just did. Or even what all of this was about.

You were just stressed over everything that's happened within the last few hours with the breakouts and Robbie dissappearing.

Pearl: Wait, but...

She looked around confused.

Pearl: Why do you need me on the Strikers? I mean, look at you guys!

Y/N: Well, the more the merrier, right? So, you wanna join?

Loki: We do have cookies.

Wanda: Join the dark side.

Pearl thought about it.

Who the hell were you?!

Sea Hunter: Thank you for your help again. You all saved us from Reyna Sirena's ruthless rule.

You leaned towards Wanda to whisper.

Y/N: Who the fuck is Renya Sirena?

Wanda just shrugged. Pearl and Laura exchanged goodbyes and joined the rest of you at the Quinjet. You had the course set to return to New York to get the training camp started, if it wasn't canceled.

Laura: So, uh, massive breakouts?

Y/N: Long story. So, underwater war?

Pearl: Long story. So, will I meet everyone else?

You all nodded. You reached into your suit's pocket and pulled out a communication card. You then held it out towards Pearl.

Y/N: Welcome to the Stikers. You'll get your life changing journey eventually. Everyone always does.

Next stop, New York.
