Y/N: Ahhhhhhhh!

Everyone flinched as you fell past them and into the snow below. You groaned as you laid there in pain.

Y/N: Ow.

Victor shook his head before the others continued their climb. Victor thought it would be a good idea to have Everyone climb a cliff. Seemed fun, until he told you that you and Laura would have no gear.

Victor: Try again!

Y/N: Fuck you, old man!

You swatted a pile of snow away before you got back to your feet. You brushed yourself off before Toxin appeared in your shoulder.

Toxin: Fuck?

Y/N: No! No. Uh, don't say that word. It's not good.

Toxin: Why not?

You tried to think of an explanation, but you couldn't come up with one.

Y/N: I don't know. Just don't say it until you're....uh....15?

Toxin: Okay!

You sighed as you popped out your claws and went back to climbing. However, you noticed that everyone was struggling.

Y/N: Okay. I'm taking control here.

You pushed yourself off of the Cliffside and ignited your feet. You blasted past everyone and made it to the top where your father was. You landed and he raised a brow.

Victor: I said no flying.

Y/N: You say a lot of things. I don't listen.

Victor just grunted.

Y/N: Look, I'm giving everyone tomorrow off. It's the weekend and we just got done with helping Carol beat up that robot thing.

Victor: A day off? I suppose you think Taskmaster and the Ten Rings take days off.

You shrugged.

Y/N: Maybe! We haven't heard anything about them since Carnage's invasion. They're completely silent. I think we can afford a day off.

Victor gave it some thothought. Finally, he shrugged.

Victor: Fine. You kids can have tomorrow off. I think a fair is in town.

You smiled.

Y/N: Thanks.

Victor: But that's tomorrow. Get back to training.

He kicked you off the cliff, sending you falling back down.

Y/N: Ahhhhhhh!

Tyrone: Talk about tough love.

You walked with your hands in your pockets as you looked around the fair. It was kinda nice to see people walking around and enjoying life.

Ever since you and Victor beat Wendigo and Wanda stopped the Long Night, people at Burns seemed to be much happier. Plus, having heroes around made them feel a lot safer as well.

Wanda: This is nice. I started to miss the days back at the Tower.

Wanda was walking along with you as was Molly. Tyrone and Tandy broke off on their own, and Robbie and Laura up and dissapered as soon as you got here.

Toxin: It seems good here.

Y/N: That's probably the food.

Toxin: I want some.

Molly: Me too! Like corn dogs and cotton candy and....

Toxin: Funnel cake!

You stopped walking and looked at him.

Y/N: How do you know what funnel cake is?

Toxin thought about it.

Toxin: I dunno.

Did he actually have a bit of Venom's personality? Like his love for sweets? You just smiled and held up your hand where Toxin appeared.

Y/N: Why don't you and Molly go get some food. Me and Wanda will be around. So will everyone else.

Toxin: Okay!

Toxin jumped to Molly who happily took the symbiote away. You watched them for a moment before you sighed.

Wanda: You seem tired.

You turned back to her.

Y/N: I am. But, I'm also restless. Taskmaster is still out there. And I have no doubt that he's gathering up more people for the Ten Rings.

Wands placed a hand on your shoulder and smiled.

Wanda: Perhaps. But they seemed no threat right now. Enjoy the day.

You smiled.

Y/N: You're right. Let's go ride some rides.

Robbie walked around on his own to clear his mind. The Strikers have been a good distraction from what's been going on.

And he was okay with that. But now he actually had time to think.

Gabe was gone. He had no family left. And Eli was still in his head somewhere. Plus, there was what's been going on with the missions.

Evil monsters. Alien invaders. Alternate worlds. He had experienced more in two months than he's experienced in his whole life.

But he wasn't alone in this. He had the team now. And everyone had been nothing but nice. And it was weird to say he had friends again.

Victor: Robbie.

Robbie stopped and noticed Victor and Bobbi were in line for a ride. He walked over and noticed it was the ferris wheel.

Robbie: Didn't take you for a guy to like these kind of rides.

Victor: I'm not.

Bobbi: I'm making him go on it with me. I love the ferris wheel.

Robbie: Hm.

Victor looked at the boy for a moment.

Victor: You look like something's on your mind. What's wrong?

Robbie looked up and hesitated.

Robbie: Just....thinking. I spent so long taking care of my brother that, I never really got to do things like this on my own. I was always with him or at school or at work.

Bobbi: Your brother. Gabe?

Robbie nodded. Victor placed a hand on his shoulder.

Victor: Is it anything you want to talk about? We can go somewhere quiet and...

Robbie: No. You guys enjoy...whatever this is. I'll be good.

Robbie walked away as Victor watched. Bobbi noticed this and nudged him.

Bobbi: You big softy.

Victor: Hm.

He just turned back to the ride.

Nearby, a girl watched Robbie before she smirked.

Tyrone: I feel like everyone is staring at me.

Tandy: I wonder why.

The two walked along the rides while everyone would look back at Tyrone here and there. He at least had his hood down.

Tandy: I can't remember the last time I went to something like this.

Tyrone: Me neither. It's nice.

Tandy nodded in agreement. However, Tyrone watched her from the corner of his eye.

Tyrone: So, uh, what's going on between you and Y/N?

Tandy: What do you mean?

Tyrone stopped walking and looked at his friend.

Tyrone: Tad, come on. We've known each other for a long time now. You have that look on your face when you're around him.

Tandy: Face? What face?

Tyrone: That lovstruck one. You two dating or...

Tandy shook her head.

Tandy: We aren't. We're just.....things are complicated.

Tyrone sighed.

Tyrone: Seems like that's the team motto. Nothing is ever simple.

Tandy crossed her arms.

Tandy: Isn't that the truth.

They resumed their walk before a kid ran up to Tyrone.

Kid: Excuse me?

Tyrone looked at the boy and kneeled down.

Tyrone: Hello.

Kid: You're Cloak, right?

Tyrone smiled.

Tyrone: Yeah. That's me.

The kid smiled widely.

Kid: No way! You're so cool!

Tandy smiled as her friend interacted with the child. Looks like they weren't as freakish as they thought.

Laura threw another baseball which caused the metal milk cartons to fall over. The carnie sighed and handed her the stuff bear that she won.

Laura looked at it before she shrugged. She walked away and held the bear under her arm. She didn't really want the bear. She was just bored.

She hated days off. She would much rather be training or hunting or....doing anything that wasn't this. She spotted Molly and Toxin eating some ice cream and decided to head over.

Laura: Hey, dorks.

She sat across from Molly who waved.

Molly: You want some ice cream?

Toxin: It's mint!

Laura denied the offer. She instead leaned on her hand and looked around. She found you and Wanda on the tilt-a-whirl. Looks like you were having fun. Tandy and Tyrone were even hanging around the animals.

She could find Robbie or the adults.

Molly: So, you're an X-Men?

Laura: Used to be.

Molly: Cool. So, did you meet Storm? And Cyclops?

Laura nodded.

Laura: I lived with them. My dad is Wolverine.

Molly's eyes lit up.

Molly: Really?!

Laura smiled a bit.

Laura: Yeah. Wanna hear some stories?

Robbie sat against a tree he found just outside of the fairgrounds. He was just trying to relax but found it hard to.

The fire in him was just waiting to roar again.

???: Hello~

Robbie opened his eyes and found a girl standing there. He raised a brow.

Robbie: Uh, hi.

???: Oh! We haven't met yet, have we? I'm Doreen. It's nice to meet you.

She held out her hand and Robbie hesitated before he shook it. She had a grip.

Doreen: So, what's Mr. Flaming Skull doing here on his own?

Robbie: Flaming Skull?

Doreen: Yeah. Cause, you know.

She then moved her hands over her head and made a motion it them to try and replicate the flames of the Spirit of Vengeance.

Robbie: Right. No one has ever recognized me like this.

Doreen: I'm a very observate person.

Robbie just nodded.

Robbie: Right.

Doreen took a seat next to him.

Doreen: So, what's up?

Robbie looked at her for a moment.

Robbie: The sky.

Doreen suddenly let out a laugh. This girl was....weird.

Doreen: You are funny, Robbie!

She slapped his back. Robbie looked at her confused.

Robbie: How do you know my...

Doreen: Oh, wait!

She suddenly shot up to her feet.

Doreen: I think I was supposed to introduce myself to you guys yet! Oh man. Jeez. Uh, just pretend like you didn't see me!

Before Robbie could say anything, Doreen jumped up into the tree. And just like that, she was gone. How did she even.....what the hell?!

On the other side of the world, a man sat in his seat among his council.

???: This is madness! Why must we sit here and wait?! We have the resources! We can attack now!

???: Silence, Man Ape. You should learn to hold your tounge when it comes to your superiors.

Man Ape: Do I need to remind you how easily you were defeated by a mere boy?

Zemo pulled out a gun and aimed it at the large man while Man Ape rose to his feet. The sound of a second gun stopped Zemo while Man Ape felt a strong hand on his shoulder.

???: That is enough from both of you.

???: Quiet!

Abomination let out a huff as Man Ape sat back down. Zemo just frowned and put his gun away.

Madame Hydra: We must have patience, Man Ape. We may have what we need, but we do not yet have our ranks made up.

???: Indeed. If I remember correctly, this is the Ten Rings. There's only 6 of us, mortal.

Man Ape: I can count! We have a list of names. Why haven't we moved to recruit them?

The man at the head of the table sighed. He stood up, gaining everyone's attention by doing so.

???: Because, Man Ape, those names were pulled from Doom's list. The old fool failed. I'm not him. My army will be more powerful. Undefeatable.

He walked down and towards the door.

???: I have my own list of names.

Burns enjoyed the festivities of the fair as did you and your team. But, elsewhere, a portal opened. One of Green energy.

And out stepped a girl.

???: So, this is Midgard's...Alaska. It's very cold.

She then smirked.

???: But I'm sure Monster can warm me with his fires.

She laughed to herself as she walked down the road towards the small town.

???: I hope they are ready for the Enchantress.
