"We got information about who that possibly is..." Haechan started as Renjun got up, his posture steady as he examined the other's features. He realized what Haechan was hinting at.

"Really? This fast?" Renjun couldn't believe the fact that they were able to know who that was and that too within the span of a day.

"Yes...Taeyong has his own resources. It's really a surprise how he was not able to catch us. If this issue hadn't meddled our business then probably enough he would find us soon after he met Sungchan. He's smart and certainly not someone who one should keep as their enemy. Jaehyun hyung truly lucked out when he got him" 

Haechan said as Renjun's brows furrowed at the mention of a stranger.

"Oh, I didn't tell you, right? Jaehyun is the brother of Sungchan and Taeyong's lover"

"Oh..." 

"We'll be holding an emergency meeting and most probably we'll be putting the plan to practice tonight," Haechan stated as his glance fell on the smaller's frame who seemed to be fully concentrated.

"We need your help," he said emphasizing the word help as Renjun tilted his head sideways not quite knowing what kind of help he could provide them with.

"Wha-" before he could even complete his words Lucas barged into the room in an awfully awkward way taking the two by surprise. Renjun's eyes widened like a deer caught in lights as Haechan held his poker face not quite surprised by what happened. Ever since the dinner yesterday, Haechan had paid attention to Lucas who seemed to be extra protective over Renjun.

"Mom called you. She needs some help with baking"

"O-oh?" Renjun couldn't believe that. His mother was someone who had kept her sons away from cooking simply because she thought that they would burn the kitchen down. Having her call him for help was quite amusing to Renjun.

"Quick! She said it's urgent" Lucas pulled Renjun off of the bed before pushing him downstairs. The confused male then took steps to the kitchen only to see his mother smiling gleefully at the mixture for cake. Not so far from them could she see Jeno and his father standing, talking to each other.

"Mom!" he called out and walked towards them earning a look from Mrs. Huang.

"Yes, Jun?"

"Did you call me for help?" 

Mrs.Huang shook her head before smiling softly.

"No honey, why did you ask? Did someone tell you that?"

oh, so he was lying?

"N-no. Just asking" with that he took his leave, leaving the three confused.

"Weird" mumbling she went back to placing the mixture in the oven as Renjun took light steps towards his room. By now he was sure why his brother pulled out that stunt. He wanted to have a private talk with Haechan and clearly enough he wasn't satisfied with his answer the day before.

Stopping right before the door, he peered in to see Lucas's back facing him. Haechan seemed to be having his poker face as the older ranted.

"-don't ever think of hurting my brother, Renjun! Touch him and you're dead Lee. I may not know what you did but once I come to know about it I won't let you live peacefully."

"For the nth time Mr. Huang, my brother nor I have intentions of hurting your brother. In fact, we made up and are trying to be good friends. If you don't believe me ask your brother yourself. Ain't that the case Renjun?" as soon as his name was mentioned Renjun hid behind the door knowing he was caught overhearing them. 

The door, as expected, was opened and he fell backward, Lucas catching him on time. Smiling sheepishly he faced the two as Lucas faced his brother.

"I'm sorry that I had to lie to you to get him alone but seriously Renjun, your silence bothers me. Is it true that you three made up?" he asked as Renjun nodded his head, his eyes landing on Haechan.

"We're actually on good terms now gè. No need to worry about me." he smiled as Lucas sighed before nodding.

"I'm taking my brother's word to be true but if something happens, remember what I said, Lee. you're done for sure" with that he left the room leaving Renjun speechless. He couldn't believe that his brother didn't leave that topic.

"I'm sorry for that" Renjun apologized on behalf of his brother as haechan laughed a bit shaking his head.

"I get him. He's just protective over you. Plus Jeno managed to say some shiet to make him suspicious of us. But on a side note, Lucas is just like jeno, overprotective as hell" 

Renjun smiled fondly before moving over to the bed.

"It's for our best tho," he said as Haechan nodded, chuckling a bit at a random memory.

"Well, sometimes that trait can be a pain in the ass. I still remember the time he cornered one of my friends because he broke something precious to me. No matter what I said Jeno was ready to square up. If it weren't for taeyong hyung meddling, it would have turned into a blood bath."

"You guys seem to be so fond of Taeyong" Renjun remarked as the monster grinned.

"Well, he has been our mentor for a long time. He's someone who we look up to. He kind of raised us, you could tell. We respect him."

"Oh...but then why did you guys hide this from him? He would've helped you out, right?" 

"Well...that's where you're wrong. He's someone who follows the rules and he would never bend the rules for anyone and we panicked when we saw him. We thought that he would give us away. But surprisingly he didn't"

Renjun pressed his lips into a thin line before climbing on the bed covered in sheets, looking at the window.

"You miss going out, right?" Haechan asked as Renjun bobbed his head.

"We'll end this whole situation soon"

"I'm looking forward to that" a small tug on Haechan's lips went unnoticed as the human sighed rubbing his arms.

"Renjun, do you possibly know where your parents keep the key as soon as they lock the door?" he asked as the male blinked a bit before his eyes widened.

"Wait don't tell me-"

"That's the only way we could get out. So if you could help us" pouting the monster faced the human as Renjun rolled his eyes, giving up.

"Fine"

Remind Renjun why he even thought that sneaking out of his room to his parents' was a great idea. the male was sweating buckets and his hands were shaking. He knew where his father kept the key after locking the door. iIt was on the nightstand.

Tiptoeing his way across the room, his heart thrumming against his chest, Renjun finally made it to the other side. Biting his lip he leaned down to take the key only to cover his mouth when he felt his father shifting his body, facing him.

Breathing ever so slowly Renjun grabbed the key before tiptoeing back to the hall, making a run to the door afterwards. The monsters were patiently waiting for the human to get back as soon as possible as they were sure that they heard some shuffling from Lucas's room.

"Thanks a lot, Jun. We owe you one" Haechan beamed as Renjun nodded his head gesturing the two to get out as soon as he opened the door.

"Uh..." he started earning a look from the two.

"I just wanted to say that...stay safe. Return safely" giving thumbs up he closed the door as the siblings looked at each other before laughing a bit.

"Do you think this is because he's afraid of us?" Jeno asked as Haechan shrugged.

"Possibly"

Also did you all watch beyond live? I enjoyed it. The only problem I had was that winwin didn't take part in touch. Like SM release a fqing statement regarding his position. Smh. We don't want to get our hopes high. And if you pull this on Yuta as well we're rioting.
