"And why exactly do you think going to the mall with Haechan is a good idea?" crossing his arms Lucas checked his brother who was busy grooming himself. Sighing for the nth time renjun turned around.

"Gè, we're just going out. Nothing to stress about. You know you're overreacting right? Mark hyung is rubbing off on you" 

"I'm not! I'm just worried about you. Plus he's not overreactive okay?" having a frown on his face the older faced his brother who giggled a bit before tiptoeing, trying to reach his cheeks.

"Smile ge smile. Frowning doesn't look good on you. Besides you want to look cool for your Mark right?" just the mention of the male had lucas blushing as he shook his head dashing out of the room leaving renjun all to himself laughing. It was really easy to tease his brother. Renjun knew how whipped he was for the other.

Speaking of whipped-

"You ready?" a male poked his head inside as renjun cracked out a small smile nodding his head. Why was he even taking this long? It's not like he didn't have anyone to impress.

Right...

"Renjun, are you sure this is a good idea?" Haechan asked wetting his lips as the other nodded his head fervently.

"Yes and now let's go?" he asked offering his hand to the other who took it gladly.

"Of course"

Renjun still thinks it's funny how he was afraid of the monster a few days back but now look who's going on a date with him? Oh, it couldn't be called a date. He was helping Haechan out to find whoever he had his eyes on and according to him, the mall was the perfect place for it.

"Let's take the bus" Renjun suggested as haechan nodded trailing behind. The two took empty seats as renjun glanced towards the roadside watching the pedestrians. His face adorned a smile seeing a couple carrying their baby down the street, their hands entwined.

"Such a beautiful sight isn't it?" came a voice from beside as renjun hummed turning to Haechan.

"It is, indeed. Just look how happy the baby is"

Haechan smiled as well seeing the way renjun's eyes were focused on the kid and the kid alone. Folding his arms he gave the other a slight nudge.

"What are your future plans?" he asked as the human bit his lip thinking hard. What exactly were his future plans?

Truth to be told Renjun didn't even have an aim in the first place. He was just going with the flow trying to ace his studies without having a particular aim until he stumbled across the lee brothers.

"Do you want me to be honest?"

"Do you think I would ask you about something as serious as this if I didn't expect you to be honest?"

"Well then...I don't know. I'm just going with the flow? All I know is that I want to earn a job and be independent but what exactly?"

Haechan nodded thinking hard.

"What's your passion?" He asked as renjun hesitated a bit wondering whether or not he should share it with the monster. What if he judges him? He wouldn't, right? 

"Arts..."

"You're into arts? Wow, that's cool! Why don't you try out any field regarding arts?"

"Well...I don't know...I don't want them to disappoint my fam-"

"Rubbish! You're not living for your family, trying to reach their expectations! You should live for yourself Jun! follow your heart. Do you want to do major in arts? go ahead. Do you want to bungee jump? Go ahead no one's stopping you. But never ever do something for the sake of your family. You'll regret it later"

"Is that why you came here?" Renjun turned to face the monster who took a deep breath.

"You can say so...I followed my heart and here I am. Hopefully, I'll be heading back with him and even if I couldn't...I'll make sure to break the rules once again"

"To-"

"To follow my heart" smiling he looked ahead as renjun nodded. The monster had a point. What was hindering him from following his passion? His family, right? As long as it makes him happy why should he force himself to like something else for the sake of his parents?

"Can't believe I thought you were stupid back then" murmuring to himself renjun looked away as Haechan held a bewildered look, having his hand on his chest.

"Excuse me? I'm not stupid!"

"I didn't say you are. I mistook you for being stupid. Geez just look ahead and stop talking! Why did I even agree on helping you?"

"Cause you like me"

"No, we're not even close to being acquaintances"

"After all we've been through?" tilting his head dramatically the monster started shaking renjun earning coos from an elderly couple sitting behind them.

"Ahh, young couple these days" the old man whispered with a small chuckle earning a nod from his wife. Renjun blushed a bit trying to form words. Before he could even deny the couple Haechan beat him to it.

"See babe this is why we shouldn't make a ruckus in front of the public. You can yell at me as much as you want when we get back, mm?" winking haechan threw an arm around renjun's shoulder catching the human off guard. What was the monster even thinking? 

And why was his heart beating fast? 

How will it feel to have haechan as your boyfriend?

This is weird...I shouldn't be having these kinds of thoughts...

"You sure you don't want me to buy you lunch?" Renjun asked as the monster firmly nodded

"I didn't take my pills. Besides your presence alone is enough" smiling the taller started walking forward catching Renjun off guard.

Why is he messing with me like this? Renjun, he has a crush for fuck's sake! This is not the time to swoon over his words! Help him and get rid of him forever!

"Why are you standing there? C'mon, let's go" grabbing Renjun's hand the monster led the way, renjun trailing behind. He looked around like a lost child and then at Haechan who seemed to be having a great time.

"Did you recognize him?" Renjun asked innocently as Haechan halted turning to him.

"I don't know...did I?" 

"Hae, this is not a joke okay? We're here to search for your love" renjun stomped as the monster nodded along.

"And that's exactly what we're doing!"

Renjun had enough. Removing the younger's hands from his, he faced the other.

"You're not taking this seriously are you?"

"I am"

Groaning Renjun rolled his eyes before grabbing Haechan's face harshly.

"You know what? Let's go to the place you saw him"

"That same old place?" a small smirk tugged on the monster's lips and Renjun wasn't having any of it. He didn't decide to help someone who couldn't even take him seriously for one minute.

"Yes"

"Well, it might be a bit far away..."

"Don't care" renjun was adamant

"Okay then" shrugging he started moving towards the exit, a smile forming on his lips. Haechan looked back and was glad to find renjun still following him.

"You know...keep close. The place is crowded. Don't want to lose you"

"How will you even-"

"Cause you're short" with that the monster sprinted for his life, having a hot-tempered male right on his tail. the sight was adorable for many, present there.

"Wait till I get you on my hands Mr. lee!"

"I'm pretty sure you will, fast, Mr. Huang"

How have you been all? So at the last minute, I said sike and deleted a draft and made this. The song I was listening to fits the vibes so oof.

Pay attention, you all. I might have dropped hints about how the next chapter is going to turn out.

Also not @ our school still asking us to come even after covid cases have been reported.

Plus if someone asks you what your future plans are please don't tell them you want to meet your fav idols or something. Been there and it took me, my mom, to know what that person meant.
