"Jaemin... You don't seem to understand..." Nibbling on his lips, the shorter male faced his friend, who had his arms crossed across his chest.

"Renjun... Look at me..." he wasn't angry nor frustrated. He sounded calm, and it seemed to ease the older up. The last thing he wanted was to have an argument with Jaemin and that too after a mental breakdown.

"Yes... I don't know what you're going through, neither do you seem to want to talk about it... just so you know I will always be by your side, Jun. I won't ever, and I mean ever, leave you. You got me, you got your family. We're there for you..."

Renjun lucked out when he found Jaemin. How lucky was he to find someone like him? Not everyone gets a Na Jaemin and Renjun didn't seem to appreciate him until that moment.

"Want to go to that cafe we always hang out in?"

Renjun readily nodded his head. If anything, he wanted to get rid of the thoughts that were haunting him.

"Are you okay baby?" Bending down to match the height of the older, the pink-haired smiled wide earning a small slap on his arm. Wincing the male pulled back, his frown replaced by a pout.

"Stop calling me that Jaemin!" Renjun joked as the other thought for a moment before pulling him in by his waist, the smaller struggling to get out of his grasp.

"The offer is still available you know... to become my boyfriend"

"Shut up!"

"Make me" and Renjun regretted cracking a smile in between as it only fueled the other even more. Pushing him away gently Renjun started walking away making Jaemin gasp dramatically.

"C'mon Jun! I was just joking"

Renjun doesn't know if he should be happy he's in the cafe with Jaemin or he should be sad and frustrated to see sungchan along. Clearly, the male seemed uncomfortable and it looked like they were waiting for someone, preferably Shotaro.

Jaemin picked up the tension between the two, his eyes moving from Renjun to Sungchan, as a sigh left his lips. He doesn't seem to remember what had happened but after seeing Sungchan leaving the rooftop annoyed and confused and his best friend on the floor crying, perhaps he may have connected the dots.

"Uh... aren't you both going to order anything?" The pink-haired male spoke out as Renjun nibbled on his lips.

"I'll go for the usual"

"I'll order after Shotaro arrives"

The two met each other's eyes and it was, least to say, awkward. Jaemin huffed out as he went to the counter to place his order before returning to the table.

"Renjun... could you accompany me? To the washroom?"

Though confused by the odd request, Renjun complied as the pink-haired male threw a glance at the monster beside him before proceeding, "Is it okay with you Sungchan?"

"Uh... yes," Sungchan, though he didn't show it outwardly, was relieved to see Jaemin take away Renjun from their shared table. It felt awkward when he had joined them, Renjun sitting opposite to him but with the male gone he could let out the breath he had been holding on to.

He nearly had lost his senses and let Renjun know where and how the male could get there seeing his condition but thanks to Jaemin he could hold onto his self-control. He waited for Shotaro to walk past the door as the male seemed to calm him down.

As soon as they entered the room, Jaemin pulled him to a side, Renjun visibly wincing at the pain caused by the strength of Jaemin. The male seemed to not care about it as he put on his concerned look before speaking.

"Are you okay Renjun?" Well, that seemed to have taken the male by surprise for sure as he tilted his head wondering what the other was on about. Not many hours ago he found Renjun knelt on the floor of their rooftop. He, out of everyone, would know that Renjun wasn't okay and that he was hiding something away from Jaemin and the rest.

"Uh, Jaemin... what are you-"

"Do I have to get rid of him?" He asked, worry written all over his face as the latter's brows furrowed.

"Get rid of whom...?"

"Don't act like you don't know Jun! I've known you for years and I know how you act. It's because of him, isn't it? You're acting like this because he's around right?"

The more Jaemin spoke, the more confused the latter was. Did he perhaps remember Donghyuck? There was no way the pink-haired male would remember him but the chances of it happening weren't low.

"Jaemin... who are you talking about?"

"Renjun, don't try to act dumb. You know who I'm talking about! This is about him, right? He's the reason why you were crying right?"

"I just... I just don't know who you're talking about Min!"

Jaemin let out a groan rubbing his forehead before facing the other. Was his friend trying to save the ass of Sungchan? Probably. There was no way he would let the monster off the hook if he had hurt his best friend.

"Sungchan, I'm talking about him! What happened between you both? I saw him walking down the steps and minutes later I saw you on the floor. Did he cheat on you? Did he reject you? Tell me Renjun!"

Oh, that's the reason why the male was acting weird around them. He seemed to have gotten the wrong picture, sure but was Renjun going, to tell the truth? He pondered whether he should tell Jaemin the truth or act along. Knowing his friend he knew Jaemin, still knowing the other was a monster would pick a fight with him.

Though he wanted to let sungchan off the hook the previous events were still fresh in his heart and perhaps he may or may not have lied to his friend.

"Jaemin... Let's not talk about that..." he sighed before trying to walk away. Jaemin, however, was quick to react, his hold on the other getting stronger as he made him face the taller.

"Oh, we're going to talk about that Renjun. Did he cheat on you? Did he ditch you for Shotaro? Tell me!"

"He didn't cheat on me Min!"

"So he rejected you! What else did I expect from him? Tell me Renjun how should I beat him up? He's my roommate after all and I also happen to know something that'll potentially endanger him!!"

Renjun knew what that secret might be about as he tried to calm his friend down trying to convince him on why he shouldn't beat the other up but rather persuade him to have a talk with Renjun.

"Oh, that seems easy"

"It sure may look like that...but it isn't min"

"Trust me I'll make sure he wouldn't be alive if he dares try to hurt you Jun,"

And he hugged him. Renjun did feel guilty for lying to Jaemin. But this might be his last chance. Who knows when sungchan will disappear into thin air as the other two did? By the time he's around them, Renjun has to get all the details regarding the siblings so as to go in search of Donghyuck. He was not ready to give up on them.

Okay, I'll stop trying to be funny, how have you all been?? I took a very needed break and ig my vocabulary increased (subtly tho) and I kind of feel happy that the break wasn't yk useless. 

Plus we have 2 boards (finals) this year instead of one since the last one was canceled. Not good news and idk man I Just know the whole year will be stressful. But I might visit a psychologist to put a stop to my anxiety once the pandemic stops and that's something. I really hate myself for being tensed and yk creating all these possible scenarios. Yea that one.

ig it's safe to say I'll be updating this every day. I'm motivated to so going to make all of it while it lasts!!
