Haechan nipped on his lips lightly, leaning on the wall far away from renjun. The doctor was examining the male as the huangs stood near him worried with lucas throwing the monster a dirty glance from time to time.

"He's alright now. Make sure he takes the medicines on time" the old man got up as they nodded, Mrs. Huang running her fingers through her son's hair. Mr. Huang spared a glance at Haechan before he followed the doctor.

Mrs. Huang got up from her seat, pressing a kiss on Renjun's forehead before scrambling away.

"What did you do to him?" Lucas started gritting his teeth, his fist clenching as Renjun weakly got up from his bed.

"Ge, don't!" He tried to intervene but it was too late as the male pounced on the monster, his grip on the other tightening.

"I warned you right?"

The monster tried to control himself as he looked away from the other, his fist clenching.

"I didn't do anything, okay? The only mistake I did was to bring him there"

Lucas was not having any of it.

"And why did you take him there? What were you planning to do to him?"

"I—"

"Stop! Both of you, get out!"

"Renjun—"

"Get out! I want to be alone"

Sighing the older male removed his hands from the monster before dusting himself off, walking away. Haechan looked back and forth between the siblings before turning away, not before passing a small note to the human.

"Read this once I'm gone"

Renjun frowned visibly, curiosity killing him.

"But—"

"If you ever considered me at least as a friend do promise me to not open it until we're leaving. After reading it if you ever feel like meeting me just yell my name out and I'll be here"

Renjun tilted his head. He wasn't liking where this was going.

"What are you trying to say?"

"We'll be leaving tomorrow" the monster replied softly, his voice barely audible. Renjun's eyes widened at the response as he grabbed the other by his shoulder, making him face him.

"What do you mean by you're leaving tomorrow? There are still days left!"

"Us living here will only bring you and your family more distress"

No, you won't

"Why...all of a sudden?" Renjun removed his hands from the other as he nibbled his lips, looking away.

"I don't know...felt like doing so..."

"Mm..."

The tension was high in the air as renjun sighed before turning away, walking back to his bed. Haechan took this as a sign to leave the human alone. Making his way to his room he was met with the sight of his brother on the bed, disappointed.

"You know you're stupid right?" He asked folding his arms as the younger ignored his brother.

"Why do you want to leave by tomorrow? And that too before confessing. This doesn't make sense at all hyuck! You wanted to meet him, make him yours and now you want to leave him? You're stupid! So so stupid!"

"I have my reasons!"

"Reasons? What reasons? Till the minute before he fainted you had this burning passion to make him yours and now it vanished into thin air! Seriously Hyuck! I expected way better from you!"

"Look Jeno I still love him! I really do! But—"

"But what? Fear of rejection?"

Haechan went silent.

"You're silent so I'll take it as yes. Hyuck if you were afraid of rejection why even bother to come here all the way? And I know for sure that isn't the only reason why you're doing this." He eyed his brother who bit his lip, looking away into the darkness.

"I want him to be safe and secure. I want to be his safe place, someone who he can rely on."

"You know distancing yourself can't help him with his issues. You're supposed to be there for him!"

"I will, trust me I will be there for him. And I've found out what had been bothering him for years. For him to be safe, I should return and meet somebody."

"God I can't believe I'm about to support whatever dumb thought you have in your mind but what's your idea?"

As Haechan explained Jeno, though he kind of liked it, was still unsure whether his plan would be successful.

"Well...hopefully, this will help you both. But I would advise you to sit and think a little bit more before going on with this plan, hyuck. This shouldn't be something you would be grieving over for."

"Renjun!" A loud bang on his door broke Renjun out from his daze as the male sat up straight in his bed, placing the glass of water back in the nightstand. After the particular visit, it felt as if those nightmares were becoming worse and worse.

He got up from his bed and moved to the door to get it only to see a sheepish Haechan standing outside. The human didn't say anything, moving aside a bit to let him enter.

"Hey..." Haechan started as renjun passed a small smile.

"You're leaving..."

"About that...I wanted to meet you before I leave..."

"Right...but it's too soon and you didn't even meet your...crush"

"Well...I've found out who he is and where he lives"

"Oh..." he could see Renjun's face fall

"Well that's good I guess...you'll be returning with him I presume?"

"No...I'm waiting for the right time"

"When is a better time than now chan? You guys came here to find him and now you're returning without him?" he sounded disappointed and he for sure was.

"He's going through something and I'll be able to find a cure for him if I return. Plus I need to make some arrangements back in the underworld to welcome him that is if he's willing to come along" Haechan looked hopefully at the other who seemed to nod.

"Well, who wouldn't come along with you?" Renjun whispered, hoping the other didn't hear him only to face the monster smiling from ear to ear. 

"So you'll come along right?"

"I didn't mean it—"

"So if I call you anytime, you're ready to come along with me right?"

"Haechan—"

"It's fixed then. goodnight and hey take your pills on time. I know the nightmares are bothering you a lot. They'll be gone real fast."

"I don't think they will..." Renjun admitted dropping his gaze to the feet as haechan decided to use this opportunity.

"Do you...know why you're being bothered by nightmares frequently?"

"I don't...all I remember is that I had seen that woman in those specific woods you took me to. I don't know how I got there, I don't know how I got back here. All I remember were her words, her face...and..."

"And?"

"And somebody. I don't remember who that is..."

Haechan hummed before patting the human's shoulder. He now knows that Renjun doesn't remember him. But that wouldn't stop him from going on with his plans.

"Well...I'll be heading back to my room and goodnight Jun. Once you wake up we wouldn't be here. there wouldn't be any use asking others as we would've left without any trace by then."

With that Haechan left the room leaving renjun alone in the middle of the room, murmuring to himself.

"Why am I feeling distressed? This shouldn't be affecting me at all"

I was planning on making Haechan confess but hey what's the fun in that? imao kidding. Hopefully, this will make sense afterward and I won't lose track cause I kind of made changes in the initial draft.

Also my goodness it's been so long. I was kind of inactive here on wattpad. How have you all been? My finals are starting next week and dude I don't remember a thing. Plus I was lurking on Twitter way too much and now my account is locked due to age ban :')

Stupid (I use this word a lot I know) me entered my birthyear not remembering the fact that I made it months before I turned 13. However, I deactivated it the very second I made that account and recently activated it. But oh well I don't know what to do lol. I can't even get into my other account :')

So yea that's me over this week? Oh plus my feelings for my ex returned and that sucks cause like why.

Also if you all know how to avoid this age ban thing and had my account unlocked please let me know <3

Ik I've used this line way too much but I swear I'll stick to it. Monster is that book I enjoy writing so yea. I wouldn't miss a chance to update this. That being said thanks a lot to each one of you who stick by and have got this far. We're at 9k now woohoo!!
