Ik Gotjawal is in Jeju island but for the sake of the story let's pretend that it's near Seoul.

"Class! We have good news for you" Mr. Kwon started as gasps were heard. They weren't really sure what their homeroom teacher had in store for them.

Jaemin looked at his friend pouting as Renjun shook his head sighing. He wasn't really in the mood to listen. After the not-so-great threatening he got from Haechan he seemed to be even quieter.

Though he knew Haechan would have a smug outlook on him due to this, Renjun could care less. He was even more determined to know who those three were and he wasn't backing up. But unlike his previous strategies, it was better if he kept mum while he watches the three act.

He was staring at Jeno and Haechan who seemed to be looking more relaxed, their hands stretched and legs apart. They wore warm smiles.

"There's gonna be a trip!"

Some were cheering while the others were groaning. Jaemin was the former while his friend was the latter. Having his head on the table Renjun groaned shutting his eyes.

He hated trips. He wasn't particularly interested in this.

"Mr. Kwon is it mandatory for everyone to join the trip?" One of the students who Renjun recognized as Daehwi spoke out as the teacher nodded.

"Yes all of you must be present here," he said a warm smile spreading on his lips.

"Aren't you all curious to know where we are going?" He asked further as some 'yes' was heard.

"Have you guys heard about Gotjawal? The one that's south to our district?"

They nodded.

"Well, we're going to stay there for five days doing a wide variety of games to energize you!"

"Mr. Kwon, can't we skip this is any form?" Asked Hyunjin as the other strictly nodded his head sideways.

"Well, you can't Hyunjin. This costs your grades. If you want extra grades you have to win the challenges we put forward"

At the mention of grades Renjun's ears perked up.

"Sir, does that mean our grades will be affected by the way we participate in the challenges?" Renjun asked as he hummed a smile garnering his face.

"Yes Huang, your grades indeed will be affected"

"That's unfair Mr. Kw-"

"Well it can be an advantage to those who are more into sports than academics Mr. Huang"

Renjun pouted. Slamming back to his seat he turned to Jaemin who was giving him a warm smile.

"Don't give up Jun! I know you're shit when it comes to games but hey! We never know what is about to happen you know! Cheer up baby"

Renjun blushed a bit at the endearment but he knew the pink-haired male didn't have any intention behind it. He genuinely wanted to cheer up the older.

"Thanks a lot Jaem but I'm kind of nervous..."

"My goodness! The trip hasn't even started yet you're here worrying!"

"I know! but I can't help it!"

"C'mon! Stop sulking! I'm gonna be there as well right?"

"I don't really think this is a great idea hyuck" Jeno started looking at his brother who seemed to be in deep thoughts as well.

The siblings reached home and went straight to their rooms locking themselves up. Renjun was sulking as he threw his bag across the floor throwing himself on the couch earning scoldings from his mother. Lucas contrary to the rest seemed excited.

"Mom! We're going on a trip!" The siblings could hear the loud boy yelling downstairs.

"Where?" She asked equally excited as her older son.

"To Gotjawal woods"

"Gotjawal?"

The siblings sighed. This wasn't a great sign let alone a trip that would help them to relax. On the contrary, it brought them tension.

"Can't we ditch this in any form?" Jeno asked as Haechan hummed. He wanted to ditch this as well. After all, it wouldn't be a pleasant scenario for them if their secrets unravel subsequent to this trip.

"It's not the best place either. After all people from our clan would be roaming around at night. I don't even know why those stupid humans thought that it would be a perfect place for a trip? They're basically digging their own grave"

Haechan commented. Clearly knowing the history of the woods and its connection to his ancestors it was a place where monsters come often. The myths surrounding it were indeed true and they were still puzzled that the school authorities decided to plan a trip to there out of all the places available.

"Can't we stop them in any form?" He asked as Haechan shook his head slightly.

"I don't really think we can..."

"Let's run away"

"And come back again in search of your lover? Oh, c'mon I thought you had better ideas than that hyuck!"

"Then what are we going to do?"

"I don't know...let's just ask sungchan! I'm sure his class is going on the trip as well. Plus it's this Friday!"

"I hope you know that it's Wednesday today..."

"You know what? Let's meet up with sungchan and decide for ourselves. If he's going we're going. If he isn't we aren't. Deal?"

"Hey...isn't that a bit risky?" Haechan asked tilting his head earning a scoff from his brother.

"Are you the same hyuck who was ready to risk it all for someone whom he has only met once? Are you the same person who planned to run away from our house?"

"But this will cost not only our lives but the humans as well Jen! It's not like I'm afraid but I can't seem to live with guilt after killing humans" he pouted slouching back to his seat earning a small laugh from his older brother.

"That's really funny coming from you...Hyuck we are monsters after all and hunting down humans is one of our main priorities to survive! Messing their minds, corrupting them, arousing their alter egos...that's our main job! Plus you met your lover when Aunt Soyeon tagged you along for a hunt right? What would have happened if those humans didn't come after searching for their son? She would've devoured him and even though you developed an infatuation you could do nothing but watch her."

Jeno had a point. It seemed ironic that he was feeling bad for the humans tagging along when in fact they're monsters. The very kind those humans should stay away from. The very kind who hunt them down for their survival. There was no place for morals and emotions.

"Let's just wait till the dawn. We'll be able to meet him and might as well discuss the whole plans."

Haechan hummed. But something didn't settle well inside him.

"Do you think Jaemin knows about us?" the fact that sungchan was living in the pink-haired male's apartment did cause some distress inside him.

"I don't think so. If that was the case then jaemin would've surely kept his distance from us the way he did for sungchan. Though they live in the same apartment from what's visible he keeps some distance between themselves."

"Do you think he'll be a great person to share our secrets with?"

"Frankly enough, no. As much as I love him he would be the last person I would reveal this secret to after Lucas. He's gullible and is easily manipulated" Jeno said staring off to space as Haechan's lips curved into a small smile.

"So you do admit that you like him huh?" Wriggling his eyebrows the younger faced the other making Jeno roll his eyes. He was met with a pillow as Haechan's giggles filled the room.

"Fine fine! I'll stop! But when we're returning to hell might as well abduct jaemin. He would love it for sure. After all, he's coming with you"

"Oh, you're so gonna get it from me" rising up from his place Jeno moved to his brother as Haechan mocked a cry.

"Someone! Help me!" he yelled as a knock was heard on the door making their eyes widened.

"Haechan? Jeno? What's happening?"

It was Lucas. He sounded worried.

"Oh god..."
