some call it bitching. i call it verbal release therapy. it's all about perspective
THE SWAN SISTERS decided to go on a walk through the woods. Of course, they both had protection on them. They both had steel daggers that the redhead had made more of after Laurent had attacked them, along with guns that had steel made bullets. And because Maddie was fearful for Bella's danger-magnet-self, she had gotten her a anti-possession stick-on tattoo that will last up to a week. She had ran out of the anti-possession necklaces awhile ago, and seeing as they're so easy to take off, she decided to make fake tattoos instead. She was crafty like that.
After walking through the woods for a good fifteen minutes, they happened upon the cliff that they had seen the pack jump off of a few months back.
Bella and Maddie slowly looked to one another and nodded.
"Once it gets warm enough, we—"
"You mean, as warm as it can get in Forks," Bella interrupted with a snicker.
Maddie chuckled and nodded. "You're right." She shook her head and smiled. "When it gets a little bit warmer, we will definitely go cliff jumping."
Bella nodded. "That will be—"
Suddenly, a gust of wind hit them in the face and they turned around just in time to see red hair swishing through the air. And then, they were picked up and thrown.
Maddie cried out in pain as she fell to the ground, and did a roll before quickly jumping up to her feet, her hands already up in fists. Bella, who landed beside her, was groaning and struggling to stand up. And once she did, she took a step closer to Maddie and glared at the person who stood menacing in front of them.
"Hello, whores," Victoria spat out in anger, her red eyes narrowed in anger. "I have been waiting for this moment."
Maddie smirked and tilted her head. "You don't have to wait any longer." She held out her arms on each side of her at a 'come at me' stance that all Winchester's seem to do. "Try your best."
Victoria growled and sped at them, and they both pulled out their respectful guns — Bella had been taught by both Charlie and Maddie on how to use it — and fired all their bullets at the crazy vampire.
The red headed vampire was smart enough to avoid most of the shots, but not all. A few of them landed on her face, her chest, and one even got her leg when she did a flip through the air.
It took a few seconds before the sisters ran out of bullets, but it was enough for Victoria to fall on the ground, her chest heaving up and down even though she didn't need to breathe.
The sisters smirked at one another, stashed away their guns on their person, and then brought out their daggers, twirling them in their hands. Bella struggled a little seeing as she had just recently been taught how to twirl them, but she still looked really badass.
"I'm not stupid enough to be afraid of you," Maddie stated to the redhead or stood up to glare and hiss at them. Those were the same words she told James before killing him a few months back. She grinned at the thought. "I said that to your boyfriend before I cut off his head. Oh, what a fun fight he was. Got my adrenaline a-going and everything. Although, it was kinda upsetting how he only lasted a few minutes. It makes me wonder if you have that same disappointed when he—" She smirked as Victoria let out a growl and sped towards her.
Both girls were ready to fight but they didn't expect when the redhead spun into the woods and disappeared for a little bit.
"Be on the look out, she will—"
Before Maddie could finish her sentence, they were shoved so hard that they went flying through the air and over the cliff.
A huge splash was heard as they landed in the ocean.
The unexpectedness of it all and the waves crashing against them, they weren't able to swim to the surface. They were knocked backwards and downwards until they were struggling to breathe.
And for s split second, Maddie swore she saw Victoria swimming towards them with a threatening smirk. But, that thought was quickly discarded when she saw her sister get knocked back harshly and hit a rock so hard that blood started to float around her.
"No!" Maddie screamed, forgetting for a second that she was under water. The watered went up her nose and entered her throat, making her head pound.
Maddie m was quick to swim towards her sister and use whatever strength she had, and with the help of some huge rocks, swam them up to the surface and onto the beach.
"Help!" Maddie croaked out once her hearing went back to normal and heard the distant sound of howling in the woods. "Bella..." she breathed out, crawling toward her with shaky arms, and checked for a heartbeat. There was one, but the brunette was barely breathing.
"Bella! Maddie!" Jacob and Paul's voices could be heard running toward where the sisters were.
Maddie ignored them as she started doing CPR, tears skidding down her cheeks at thought of losing her sister.
"Oh, my god!" Jacob slid down to where they were, his eyes wide as he looked down at Bella's hurt form.
"What happened?!" Paul exclaimed, his eyes also wide, and his heart was pounding in his chest upon seeing their wet and hurt forms.
Maddie was bleeding on her hand — most likely got cut by her dagger when Victoria pushed them into the water. Her back was scraped up, probably from being thrown to the ground by said psycho bitch. Bella wasn't much better — she also had a cut across her palm from the dagger, along with the head wound from the rock.
And once Bella gasped awake, water spilling from her mouth, Maddie slapped her on the arm, crying in relief. "Are you okay?!" She croaked and laid her head on her sisters heaving chest.
"I'm fine," Bella breathed out, weakly patting her sister on her head. "I saw her coming towards us in the water and I freaked. I lost the dagger in the water and I backed up, trying to find it when I hit my head." She groaned and softly laid her head down on the sand, breathing heavily.
Paul frowned. "Who did this to you guy?" He asked, laying his hand on Maddie's back. She didn't have enough energy to flinch or tell him to fuck off. It didn't help that something within her told her to trust him, to let him be by her side.
So, instead, she turned her head just enough to look him in the eyes as she kept her head on Bella's chest. "It was Victoria," she simply said and both boy's eyes hardened and they looked into the water to see if they could spot the vampire. But, of course they couldn't.
"We need to get you both to safety," Paul stated, standing up, his shoulders tense as he kept on guard. Then, he paused and looked towards the woods. "Fuck," he spat under his breath before looking down at the others who were already looking at him. "Sam is calling for me. He wants my input on what had happened."
Maddie sat up slightly and gave him a small smile. "We're fine. Go."
He hesitated for a second offered her a small smile before taking off into the woods.
Bella groaned as she stood up. "We should get home and get changed before dad comes home."
Maddie grimaced at the thought of Charlie finding them soaking wet and injured. "Yeah. Let's not tell him about this."
AS BELLA AND MADDIE walked in the house after their little 'adventure', exhausted. They had sent Jacob off after telling him they were fine and didn't need any help.
They paused in surprise upon walking into the living room and seeing Alice Cullen just standing there.
Maddie's eyes narrowed harshly. "What the fuck are you doing here?"
"Bella! Maddie!" Alice gasped out, her eyes wide as she looked between the sisters. "Would you like to explain to me how you're both alive?"
"What?" Bella asked, confused.
"I saw a vision of the both of you. You jumped off a cliff. Why in the hell would you try and kill yourselves? I mean, what about Char—"
Maddie was clenching her hands as she exploded in rage, "Oh, shut the hell up! You have no right to come back in here and ask all these dumb questions. Do you have any idea how Edward made Bella feel? He left her all alone in the woods when it was below freezing!" She shouted, her eyes ablaze. "He broke her heart and left her to die. Do you have any idea what she has been through?!" If she wasn't out of bullets or hadn't lost her knife, she would be attacking the pixie haired vampire right now. "What I have been through?!" Her voice cracked as she threw out her arms by her sides. "I mean, is there anything stopping me from killing you right now?"
Just then, the shrill ringing of the phone interrupted their conversation, and in a burst of anger, Maddie answered the phone, "Charlie is not here right now! He's making funeral arrangements!" She then slammed the phone down on its charger so hard that it bent.
Alice turned to Maddie with wide eyes, panicking. "That was Edward!" She exclaimed. "He thinks you're dead, Bella. Rosalie told him why I came here," she explained, "He's going to the Volturi. He wants to die too."
Maddie paused, rolled her eyes, and said, "Of course he would."
