IT WAS THE next day, and Madelyn had got back her bearings, put on a brave face, and decided to go to the Cullen's. Really, the only reason she was going there on her own was because she promised Emmett that she would play another video game with him. He had bragged about how he had gotten much better, and that he will beat her this time, but she had simply laughed him off, and bet him twenty bucks that she will win again.

Bella and Edward were hanging out together, doing god knows what. But, before they had left, the red head had threatened the vampire that if he didn't anything that made Bella uncomfortable, she was going to make his death painful. He knew her words were true, gulped, and then him and Bella left which the brunette giggling under her breath.

So, here Maddie was, sitting on the couch with Emmett, furiously hitting the buttons on the controller as she killed yet another member of his team.

"Crap!" Emmett shouted at the top of his lungs when he realized he was down to three other members on his team. He pursed his lips and angrily glanced to Maddie who happened to have five members on her team, meaning she was more likely to win if he and his team didn't up their game.

Jasper sat beside Madelyn, a small smile pulled up on his lips. He watches the curve of her lips as they pulled into a gigantic smile, and he admired how her eyes sparkles with mischief and happiness. It was an amazing sight.

Alice looked between them, basically bouncing in her spot excitedly. Even though she hasn't seen their future — because neither have picked a choice — she knew they would be cute together if they just took that final step to being something other than friends. Or well, frenemies in Maddie's case because she still hasn't put too much trust in them.

"Boom!" Maddie exclaimed when her game character fought against one of Emmett's members, and killed them. "You better up your game or you're gonna lose."

Emmett began pressing harder on the controller, thinking it was going to help him win. And it did help him kill one more member of her team, but sadly, he gripped the controller too hard which made it break in half in his hands. "Fuck!"

Esme gasped loudly. "Language!"

Maddie laughed loudly and then killed Emmett and his last standing team member before jumping up to her feet, and throwing the controller on the couch. "Beat that, sucka!"

Rosalie snorted and gave her husband a clap on the shoulder. "You'll get her next time."

"Maybe," Jasper commented under his breath which made everyone else laugh.

"I broke the controller, so of course she was going to win," Emmett pointed out with a pout on his lips.

The red head smirked smugly and flipped her hair. "That doesn't mean anything. I was going to win one way or another. I'm just that good."

The big boulder looking vampire crossed his arms and pouted like a child. "It's not far."

Deciding that he wanted to see Maddie smile and laugh more, Jasper leaned forward with raised brows. "If you want, you can play against me." Emmett sat up straighter but frowned when the blonde shook his head and gestured to Maddie. "I meant her."

Everyone laughed at the betrayed expression that Emmett gave Jasper before he got up and got a new controller.

Maddie sat down beside Jasper and gave him a smug look. "Are you ready to get your ass beat, Jazz?" Her brown eyes momentarily widened in surprise at the nickname that escaped her lips, but no one said anything so she relaxed a little.

If only Dean could see her now. He would go ballistic and threaten the family, and then would probably kill her and bring her back just to yell at her for trusting vampires.

It was even a weird concept to her. Maddie can't believe that she has gotten close to a family of monsters that she hunts.

"I think I am darling, especially if you're doing the ass beating." The vampire looked her in the eyes, not backing down, not even when his family gasped at his teasing. And he certainly didn't back down when he noticed the blush rising up on the redheads cheeks.

Clearing her throat, she grabbed her controller and clicked the bar for new game mode as Jasper set his controller up.

"I think you broke her," Emmett commented in amusement which resulted in Maddie and Rosalie both slapping him on the back of his head.

Smirking at one another, the two girls high-fived before flipping their hair over the shoulders and facing the television.

"Game on," Maddie murmured under her breath and didn't even go a little easy on Jasper.

Soon south, the game had ended and surprise surprise, Maddie was the winner again.

Jasper wasn't surprised nor did he care. especially seeing as she jumped up and began dancing in victory.

Reaching over, Maddie ruffled Jasper's soft locks, and grimes widely at him as everyone else cheered her on.

She wouldn't admit it outloud, but she actually likes the Cullen's.
