You and Riri opened your eyes and found yourselves in a very old looking New York. You looked around before you saw a flag. A British flag.

Y/N: Oh great. The British.

You and Riri both let out a sigh before peeking out of the alleyway you were hiding in. Yep. This was colonial New York alright. It's gonna be hard to fit in.

Y/N: We need clothes. Something to help us blend in.

Riri: There's just one problem with that.

You turned to face her and saw that she had her arms crossed. It took you a moment.

Riri: You get it now? Think about what time period we are in and what race I am.

Y/N: Oh. Shit. This is going to be very awkward, uncomfortable, and frustrating. I'll figure something out...

Drunk man: Aye!

You both turned to see the man stumbling towards you with a half filled mug in his hand.

Drunk man: How much for the sl...

You quickly knocked him out and looked at him. Maybe you could fit into his clothes?

After you were done changing, you rushed over to the shop to buy Riri a dress with the drunk man's money. After successfully blending in, the two of you started your search.

Y/N: Where would Viv be right be right now? Or anyone for that matter?

Riri: My scanners say this is a Time Circle. I guess Kang really liked the British.

Lockheed let out a low growl from under your coat.

Y/N: You think communications would work here?

Riri: Tony's satellites weren't invented yet. I could try but I doubt we'll get anything.

As she tried to contact someone, you looked around at the wooden buildings and the horse drawn vehicles. How did people live like this? Riri gave up on communicating with anyone and kept her head down under the judgmental eyes of the civilians.

Y/N: Hey, I have a question.

Riri: What is it?

Y/N: Earlier you said that in the Time Circles we can't age. Does that mean time never changes?

Riri shrugged.

Riri: It's all theory but I think Kang picked out specific moments in history and threw them into Circles. I think a loop would better explain it. The Revolutionary War started in 1775 and ended in 1783. I think that this lopp starts in 1775 the same time the war did and it will reset as soon as it ends.

Y/N: So the people would never be aware of the loop since their memories would be reset as well. Perhaps the casualties to. We can't age here until we fix time to be a straight line.

Riri: Exactly.

Lockheed let out a noise as he peeked out your coat. You had brushed your hair back and were now wearing a white shirt, brown trousers, and a black coat. Riri wore a dress very similar to those you have seen on the History Channel. You finally reached a market place and your stomach growled.

Y/N: I skipped out on food.

Riri: You should eat something. Going around on an empty stomach isn't good for you.

Y/N: I used to do it a lot. I can survive for now. We need to find Viv or Miles or someone. Maybe an Avenger?

Riri shook her head.

Riri: The Avengers were in Wakanda the last I checked. The Program was responsible for their patrols and they called in Strange and apparently Captain Marvel to deal with the bigger issues.

Great. No help from the adults. Again. At least you still had the amulet. You and Riri started to make your way through the crowded market before you heard cheering.

Y/N: What's that?

Riri: No clue. Should we check it out?

You nodded. The two of you moved through the crowd and found yourselves on a new street. It looked like a parade of some kind being led by....oh no.

Y/N: Black Knight?!

Riri: The guy you threw in jail after he attacked the Tower?

You nodded. What the hell was he doing here? As he rode his horse through the street, Black Knight waved at everyone as if he was a celebrity. Many cheered, some booed, you just stared. As he turned the corner, another sight was revealed. One that made your chest tight and your body heat up in anger.

It was Nadia, tied to a wooden stake bruised and bleeding. Everyone cheered as they started to throw whatever they had at her. You clenched your fist once you saw a large cut on her cheek.

Man: WITCH!

Woman: Die in the dirt you whore!

Man: Burn the witch!

Everyone started to chat while you and Riri watched in horror. Behind her was her Wasp gear. That must have been it. They thought she was a witch because she had all that stuff with her. This wasn't good.

Riri: We have to help her.

Y/N: Already on it. They want to see something scary, I'll give them something scary.

You pushed past the people in front of you and stood right in front of the horse pulling the cart. It stopped and the driver looked at you.

Man: Are you mad?! Get outta way!

You smirked as your entire body was covered in flames. You threw a fireball at a nearby building which erupted into flames. While everyone was distracted, Riri rushed in and started to untie Nadia. Lockheed revealed himself and started to scare the horses causing Balck Knight to fall off. Once Nadia was free, you grabbed her gear and ran off with them.

Black Knight looked up at the flames and clenched his fist. He pulled out his sword and pointed it at the closet soldier.

Black Knighy: I want you to find the man responsible for this. I want his head on a silver platter before the week is over!

The solder saluted and rushed off. Black Knight returned to the flames and smirked.

Black Knight: Looks like Kang was right.

You finally closed the door to the room you had rented and sighed. Riri was tending to Nadia's wounds while Lockheed found a bed in the drawers. You walked over to the bed and pushed some hair from Nadia's face. She started to stir and looked up at you.

Nadia: Y/N?

Y/N: Yeah. It's me. How are you feeling?

Nadia: Sore mostly. They kept me in that prison for so long I could hardly remember the last time I saw the actual sun.

You and Riri looked at each other.

Y/N: What do you mean?

Riri: It's been one day.

Nadia shook her head.

Nadia: It had to have been at least a month. It was still snowing when I was taken in.

How was that possible? You had woken up a few hours ago. It then dawned on you.

Y/N: The Circles. They must act in their own way in terms of time. What seemed like a day for us was actually a month for Nadia.

Riri: Oh no. If that's true then...

Y/N: The others must be the same way. Days, weeks, months, even years. We need to move quickly and find out where Kang is hiding.

Nadia: Who?

Riri/Y/N: Time Traveling Hitler.

You both looked at each other and nodded. Nadia just sighed.

Nadia: We can't leave here yet. Black Knight is here. If you guys fix time then he'll stay in this Era.

Riri: He has knowledge of how the war goes. He can use it as a way to ensure Britain wins.

Y/N: Actually I had a theory about that. I think Kang put him here as a kind of insurance. My guess is that every loop or Circle has someone like him in it to prevent us from fixing anything.

Nadia: Like a guardian?

Y/N: Exactly. Almost like a guard dog. We need to take out Black Knight and return him to our Circle.

Riri: So he doesn't try to alter time.

You nodded. Riri smiled as she started to think of a plan.

Nadia: We're kinda like Time Traveling Cops.

You smiled and kissed her head.

Y/N: Something like that.
