Viv knew something was wrong a while back. About around the same time she and the others graduated from the Program and joined the Avengers. After getting smothered by her parents, and Felicia, and Cat, and Doreen, she head chosen to get some "fresh air" on the balcony. In truth she just needed to get away from everyone else. It hurt to admit it but, she thought about you.

She thought you should have been there along with Nadia. You were the one who changed everything so drastically and touched everyone in ways no one had done before. She missed you. Even after Widow and Richards had explained everything regarding the Celestials and your hunt for the power of the gods, she wished for you to walk through the door with the same smile she had grown to love.

That's when she heard it for the first time. It was a voice. A familar voice. She had turned towards her left and caught a glimpse of an outline. It was gone just as quick as it appeared. Almost like a minor glitch. She decided to work on it later after the party was over.

She didn't find anything in her systems.

It happened again about a month later. She was at the facility working on a new suit with Riri and Quentin when she heard someone outside. She looked out the window but saw nothing.

Riri: You ok V?

Viv turned to answer but saw something that actually made her freeze in place. It was you. You were sitting at one of the tables working on a piece of the suit. Riri looked back at the empty space and back at her. Even Quentin looked up from his work to see what was going on.

Riri: V?

Viv: I am fine.

She looked to her work before turning back. You were gone. That was just something that was odd to her. Maybe she needs to check her memory banks.

There wasn't another incident for a few more weeks until she was taking a walk around the facility. She had checked her memory banks and found nothing like she had seen. She decided to brush it off as a small glitch. As she turned the corner, she picked up on a scent. She scanned the area but found no traces of anything out of the ordinary in the air.

It smelt like cigarettes. She would write this off as Robbie smoking but he was away with Katie on one of their dates. By dates she means when Katie would bug Robbie to take her driving around the country side blasting music. At least they were happy.

Viv turned the corner and saw you again. You held a cigarette to your lips as you took a drag. She stepped forward and you reacted to the noise. You looked at her like you had been caught.

Y/N?: Shit. Busted.

You tossed the cigarette to the ground and stomped on it.

Y/N?: I know I said I would quit. No need to yell at me.

Viv: How is this possible?

You shrugged.

Y/N: Addiction just works like that. Wait, could you get addicted to something?

Viv: Not that. How are you here?

You laughed.

Y/N?: Well, Viv, when a man and a woman, or an android and a woman in your parent's case, love each other they...

Viv: You are gone. You had left to space with Nadia 7 months 3 weeks and 8 days ago.

Y/N?: Woah. Space. That would be cool to check out.

Viv was about to ask more questions but Eli walked around the corner. He looked at her confused.

Eli: Were you talking just now?

Viv looked back towards the wall but you were gone yet again.

Viv: No. Apologies if I disturbed you.

She turned and walked away before Eli could question it. This became a problem as time went by. It would be something small like you sitting on the couch or hanging around among the group. It slowly began to worsen when she would find you in her room flirting with her or joining her on her walks.

It finally reached the point where you were always there. Always talking, flirting, smiling, acting like you never left. She didn't know what was going on. She checked everything she could and found no problems. She started to get desperate. Desperate enough to call Felicia. Surely she would understand since she was your first girlfriend.

Viv dialed the number and waited for a call.

Felicia: Hey Viv? What's up?

Viv: Hello Felicia and Cat.

Cat: S'up?

Viv: I was wondering if you were at the base. I was hoping I could get your assistance in something.

Felicia: Sorey Viv. I'm in California right now. I won't be back for a few days.

So much for that.

Viv: Understood. Have a good vacation.

She hung up immediately as you appeared again.

Y/N: So much for that.

Viv looked up and stared at you. Not you you. She didn't know what it was really.

Y/N: Guess you're stuck with me for a bit longer. Sorry dear.

Viv: No. You are not.

She turned away and left.

Riri: You want me to do what now?

Viv had decided to go to the one person who could help take care of, whatever this was.

Viv: I want you to do a complete scan of me.

Riri turned to Quentin who was on their bed reading when Viv walked in. He looked a bit worried.

Quentin: W-Why? W-What's g-going on V?

Viv: I seem to be expecting hallucinations. I want them gone.

Riri: Ok. Let's talk about this first. What are the hallucinations of?

Viv: Y/N.

Quentin: Y-Y/N?

Viv nodded.

Viv: I can hear his voice and smell cigarettes he smokes despite no substance in the air.

Quentin: T-That's weird. Like, s-schizophrenia?

Riri: How could you have schizophrenia? You're an android.

Viv: There is no mental illness. This is something in my programing. I require assistance to get rid of it.

Quentin and Riri looked at each other for a moment.

Riri: Running scan now.

Viv laid on the table as Riri and Quentin ran the scans to see what was going on. In truth, Quentin felt like he knew what was going on. The longer they scanned, the more he became convinced this was something else.

Y/N?: Why are you doing this? You're fine V. I can't see a single thing wrong with you.

Viv chose to ignore this false image. Riri completed the scan and looked at the results.

Riri: There's nothing here.

The machine powered down and Viv sat up.

Viv: There is no problem in my programing?

Riri: Nothing.

She looked down at the table while Riri looked up at Quentin.

Riri: Any suggestions babe? I'm all out.

Quentin nodded.

Quentin: Y-Yeah. C-Could you leave f-first? I n-need to talk t-to Viv.

Riri hesitated before shrugging.

Riri: Alright. I'll leave it to you then. I'll be in the lab.

She left the room as Viv adjusted herself so her legs were hanging off the side of the table.

Viv: What is wrong with me?

Quentin rolled his chair over to her and smiled.

Quentin: Y-You miss Y-Y/N right?

Viv nodded.

Quentin: W-Well, I m-may have an idea.

Viv: I am listening.

Quentin: Ok. H-Here we go. You're s-seeing Y/N e-everywhere because h-he was your f-first crush, boyfriend, lover, h-heartbreak, and regret. He l-left without s-saying g-goodbye which hurt you b-but you don't w-want to forget him.

Viv nodded to show that she was following.

Quentin: So your m-mind used the memories y-you had of Y/N plus the d-data you had g-gathered through the time you k-knew him to create t-this copy of Y/N in your head. W-What you're seeing is a-actually the p-playback of Y/N.

Viv: I am, reliving memories of Y/N?

Quentin: Yeah. Or s-something like that.

Viv: Then how do I get rid of it?

Quentin sighed.

Quentin: The o-only way I c-can think of is, nevermind.

Viv: Tell me.

Quentin looked down before shaking his head.

Quentin: Y-You'll have to e-erase your memories o-of Y/N.

Viv flinched at the words. She would have to erase all of her memories retaining to you if she wanted to stop these visions.

Y/N?: In the end, the choice is yours.

She looked at you for a moment.

Viv: I'll do it.

Quentin sighed.

Quentin: G-Good luck. J-Just, give it s-some thought first.

Viv nodded and hopped off the table.

She sat in her room alone as she hooked up the proper cords to her neck. She finally finished and closed her eyes to get to work. She opened up the data banks that had any relation to you.

She suddenly thought back on what Quentin had told her. She should think about this. Maybe she should, look through them one more time? Just to experience it again. Before it was all, gone. She closed her eyes.

She finally separated from you while you were still frozen in surprised.

Viv: Was that satisfactory enough for you?

Y/N: Uh, I, ah, wh, eh.

Viv: Are you having a stroke?

You finally snapped back to reality and shook your head.

Y/N: What the hell was that?!

Viv tilted her head.

Viv: Was it bad?

Y/N: I mean, no but you can't just do that.

Viv looked down then back up.

Viv: Don't kiss you. I have added it to my database.

What the hell was wrong with this chick? Did all androids act like this?

Y/N: No, I mean, God this is frustrating. Look, V, you can't just kiss people randomly. You kiss people you like. People that are special to you. You get what I'm saying?

Viv looked back down then back up.

Viv: Understood. I will only kiss you consent.

Viv: As I have stated before, I am here with someone else.

Boy: And where is this person? I don't see him anywhere.

Y/N: Why don't you turn around?

The boy turned and looked at you in a intimidating manner. At least he tried to. He ended up looking right at your chest before slowly panning up to look at your face. He audibly gulped and looked over to his friends.

Y/N: They aren't gonna help. Scram.

The boy hurried off to his friends and you turned to Viv.

Y/N: Sorry about that. What a punk.

Viv: He did not look like he played an instrument.

You just smiled and handed her a drink.

Y/N: Let's get going. The movie is about to start.

Viv: Thank you for helping me today.

You shook your head.

Y/N: Anything for a friend.

Viv looked down at her hands before diving under the water. You watched her figure swim around under. Suddenly the other 4 people prepared to leave just as Viv emerged. You watched the strangers exit and smiled to yourself.

Y/N: Hey Viv?

Viv: Yes?

Y/N: Do me a favor.

Viv: What would you like me to do?

You smiled as you helped her out of the water by taking her hand. She stood in front of you confused on what you were doing. You didn't let go of her hand, you just looked at it.

Y/N: Change back.

Viv: I do not think my previous clothing would be appropriate for the water.

You chuckled a bit.

Y/N: Not your clothes. Change back to yourself.

Viv simply stared at you but didn't say anything. Slowly her body returned to its pink color and her hair back to the bright green. Her eyes were the last to change.

Viv: Why did you want me to do that?

Y/N: Because I wanted to see you.

Viv: I was here the entire time.

You smiled.

Viv looked shocked. She held her hands to her chest and looked down. Then, something happened.

Tears began to fall from her eyes.

She slowly reached up to touch them and gasped.

Viv: I am, crying.

Viv held her hands to her chest.

Viv: I knew it was possible but I only felt things like happiness or anger. After that day I felt a new one.

Y/N: And what was that?

Viv looked you in the eye.

Viv: Love.

Her eyes shot open as she quickly disabled the banks before she could erase them.

Viv: No!

She slowly brought her knees up to her chest.

Viv: No. I don't want to forget.

She felt tears form in her eyes as you watched. You softly smiled before vanishing one last time.

Viv: I don't want to forget.

Outside of her door, Quentin smiled. She made the right choice after all. He smriked as he walked away.

Quentin: T-There you go V.

He of all people knew that sometimes to grow, you needed to go through pain. He was glad that his friend was going to get through this.

Quentin: I j-just hope that Y-Y/N is safe w-wherever he is.
