The Outcast Asgardian Pt. 2

You watched as Valkyrie chugged down the entire mug filled with alcohol before she slammed it down onto the counter.

Rocket: And I thought Quill had a problem.

Y/N: Are you going to answer my question or not?

Valkyrie wiped the extra fuzz from her lips.

Valkyrie: I don't see why you even want to go to Asgard. That place is just a bunch of "superior beings" who only care about themselves. The moment you're useless you get tossed aside.

Y/N: I have my reasons. Do you know the way or not?

Valkyrie looked back at your companions and smiled.

Valkyrie: She's a cutie. You think I have a shot?

You sighed.

Y/N: She's with me.

Valkyrie: You can join to.

You let your head hit the counter. This was going no where. She just keeps dodging the question. Screw it. Time to bite the bullet and tell her what was really going on.

Y/N: Look, I need to get to Asgard.

Valkyrie: You don't say.

She started to drink her second mug before you sighed.

Y/N: I need to receive Odin's blessing.

She spat out her drink and looked at you like you were a lunatic.

Valkyrie: Are you mad?! Receiving Odin's blessing is impossible even for you!

Y/N: Yeah yeah whatever. Look, I need your help with getting to Asgard. If I don't get that blessing, the entire universe as we know it could be destroyed.

Valkyrie set her mug down and shook her head.

Valkyrie: You know it's not that easy. Even the best captians have trouble even finding a trace of Asgard. Getting there is a completely different story.

Y/N: Which is why I'm asking for your help. I spent the last two years drifting through space to find Asgard and time is running out.

You looked back at Nadia who was listening to Rocket talk to Groot.

Y/N: Please. Help us.

You turned back to Valkyrie.

Y/N: I need these blessings before I can return home. Please.

Valkyrie looked at you for a moment before turning back to her mug.

Valkyrie: I know how you feel. Home is important to everyone. I miss Asgard.

You looked at the counter.

Y/N: Why did you leave?

Valkyrie: Because I saw how they viewed me and my sisters. I'm the last of the Valkyrie. Once they learned that we had failed, they turned their backs on me. It was decades later when I learned that it was all a trick.

She slid her mug away and rested her head on the counter.

Valkyrie: I'm the last of my kind. I couldn't face another Asgardian after I failed them.

You looked at her and recalled your own situation.

Y/N: I was once thrown into a future where I ended up killing most of my friends and family. Those who were left either wanted me dead or went insane. When I returned, I couldn't look at any of them.

She looked up at you.

Y/N: I know how you feel. Alone. Scared of facing everyone. It doesn't have to be that way.

You looked down at her and offered a smile.

Y/N: I'm sure they will forgive you. And you don't have to be alone.

Valkyrie gave it some thought before she sat up.

Valkyrie: Fine.

You smiled.

Valkyrie: I'll show you the way to Asgard. After that, we're done.

You nodded.

Y/N: Got it.

Valkyrie: You and your crew better be ready by tomorrow. I'm not waiting for any of you.

Y/N: Understood. Our ship is in the dock 42. We'll see you when you show.

Valkyrie nodded before standing up. She started ro walk out but stopped and turned towards you.

Valkyrie: About what you said, about not being alone, thanks. I forgot what it was like to talk to someone who could relate to me.

You smiled.

Y/N: Of course. See you tomorrow.

She nodded and walked out. Nadia and Rocket sat next to you while Groot began to poke the neon sign.

Rocket: So how did it go?

Y/N: She agreed to help us. We'll be leaving tomorrow.

Nadia: Yes! So tomorrow we're going to Asgard?

You nodded. It was finally time.

Nadia: I'm so happy. I can, almost, cry.

You and Rocket watched as Nadia tried to keep her tears in. She was, uh, really happy. She excused herself and rushed to the bathroom.

Rocket: What's her deal?

Y/N: No idea.

It then hit you. You grabbed your head.

Y/N: Oh no! We forgot the medicine!

Rocket: What medicine?

Y/N: For her Bi Polar disorder. I really hope she doesn't fall into those mood swings again.

Your mind flashed to the third month of space travel when you first ran out of the meds. There were a lot of fights and a lot of "making up" during that time. Luckily you had managed to find replacements that actually lasted longer.

Y/N: We need to find more before the trip tomorrow. Is there a doctor around here or something?

Rocket: I know a guy who has everything you're looking for. Fair warning though, he's kind of a weird dude.
----------
You looked around at the glass tanks filled with various lifeforms and the trinkets laid out on the tables and such.

Y/N: This guy really likes junk.

Rocket: Yeah. Just don't call it junk.

Groot had offered to escort Nadia back to the ships while you and Rocket went to meet his "guy" for possible medicine. Then, a booming voice echoed through the building.

???: What is it, you desire?

You looked around confused.

Y/N: Uh, medicine? Or something resemling medicine?

???: And for what purpose do you need this medicine?

You looked at Rocket.

Rocket: Just go with it.

Y/N: Uh, my girlfriend is Bi Polar. She has bad mood swings.

???: Then I may have just the thing for you. At a price of course.

The voice began to laugh.

Y/N: Cool. Can I have it?

The laughing stopped.

???: Way to take the fun out of things.

You heard footsteps and looked over to see a man step out. He looked at Rocket and gave a courtesy nod before turning back to you.

???: I am the Collector. And you are?

Y/N: Y/N Creed.

Collector: Ah. Quill told me about you. Said you were a, rare specimen.

Rocket: Ok I know Quill didn't say that. Specimen is three syllables. He also never says rare.

The Collector rolled his eyes.

Collector: Fine. He didn't say that but it was implied.

Yiu just sighed.

Y/N: You said you had what I was looking for. I have money so can you just hurry up and sell it to me?

The Collector placed his hand on his chest.

Collector: Mmm. A feisty one. I do like it when they take charge.

He looked over at a table and browsed around before picking up a glass jar. Inside was some green dust.

Collector: Here it is. Pour this into water and drink it in the morning.

You reached out for it but he quickly moved it away.

Collector: Ah ah ah. Not so fast boy. I want payment.

You rolles your eyes and startes to reach for your money but the Collector stopped you.

Collector: I don't nees your money. I want something else. Something, rare.

You didn't like the way he said that.

Collector: You have something I've never seen before. I want that.

He pointed at your sword. You shook your head.

Y/N: Not happening.

The Collector sighed.

Collector: Just let me see it.

He reached for it but you popped out you claws to avoid him getting closer. His eyes grew wide.

Collector: What is that? I've never seen metal like this before.

You looked at your claws.

Y/N: It's Godslayer metal. The only place you'll find it in the universe is in me.

The Collector smirked. He took a sip from his wine and looked at your claws.

Collector: I see. So this is very rare.

You looked at the jar and slowly let go of your grip on your sword. This was for Nadia. You gritted your teeth.

Y/N: Then how about a trade?
-----------
Nadia looked up when she heard the ship's door open. The Guardians were hanging around your ship to keep her company when you and Rocket walked in. You smiled and set down the glass jar.

Y/N: For the lovely lady.

You winked and told her what the Collector told you.

Peter: This is medicine? How did you even get this?

Rocket: He had to trade the creep something.

Nadia: What did you trade?

Drax: Was it your body?

Y/N: No I, did you trade your body Drax.

Drax: No. But you might have. You seem like someone who would.

You opened your mouth to argue but saw no point in it. You turned back to Nadia.

Y/N: I didn't trade my body. Don't worry about it. We need this for tomorrow anyway.

Nadia smiled before she noticed your sleeve ride up ever so slightly. She caught a glimpse of the bandage wrapped around your wrist and oieced it together.

Y/N: Everyone get some rest. Tomorrow, we head to Asgard.

Once everyone left, you sat across from Nadia who was drinking the cup of medicine. She looked down at your wrist.

Nadia: Thank you.

You shook your head.

Y/N: Anything for you. We're in this together.

Nadia smiled.

Nadia: Yeah. We are.
