You stood in front of a door where, on the otherside, you would be taking the future as yourself. Dinner was later on in the night so you had time to do what you needed to do. You slowly lifted your hand, and knocked.

Nadia: Come in!

You took a deep breath and opened the door. Nadia saw it was you and sat up on her bed. Things really were different.

Nadia: You're back.

You nodded.

Nadia: Is it, over?

You nodded. She stood up and held her hands against her chest.

Nadia: Do you feel anything?

You smiled as you stepped forward and embraced her.

Y/N: Yeah. I do.

Nadia smiled before wrapping her arms around you. The two of you stayed like that for a bit longer before you pulled her back enough to kiss her. The Protocol was gone, and you still loved her. You both separated and you saw that Nadia had tears in her eyes. You wiped them away with your thumb.

Y/N: Why the tears?

Nadia: I'm just, so happy. Even after everything you still love me.

You smiled.

Y/N: Of course I do.

The two of your kissed again before you let go. Nadia looked over your shoulder and saw that the door was closed.

Nadia: Sooooo...my mom and Scott are downstairs.

Y/N: We're going to dinner in a few hours.

Nadia grinned as she pulled your towards the bed. You gladly followed.

Scott: A toast! To Y/N and Reed! So long Godslayer Protocol!

Everyone: Cheers!

Venom: I'll drink to that!

Eddie: You know what alcohol does to you.

Venom: Buzzkill.

You smirked. Scott, using some connections, got you all a private room in a very high class sushi restaurant where Venom could hang around freely. You and him caught up while Reed and the others caught Widow and Janet up to what they had been doing.

Widow: So you went into hiding after Doom appeared with the first Infinity Shard. Well, it looks like you had nothing to worry about.

Janet: Yep. Y/N had it in the bag.

Johnny: If we had known that then we would've stayed. Mister "I have a plan for everything" over here paniced and got to work with something that could fight back.

Reed: I had to work in secret though. I'm sorry for causing such panic.

Scott: Eh. People wondered. No one really paniced.

Janet punched him in the ribs.

Scott: I mean, we all missed you?

Susan: Good save.

Ben: Dumbass.

You and Seol laughed at their antics. You felt Nadia move and turned to see she was talking to Eddie and Venom. You were both holding hands under the table. Reed suddenly set his chopsticks down and sighed.

Reed: Right. Now that we explained ourselves and we're all here, I think it's time to talk about what comes next.

Y/N: What do you mean?

Reed looked at you.

Reed: Thanos is still coming. We don't know when. It's time for you to collect the power of the gods.

Everyone turned to you.

Y/N: That means, I have to leave again.

Reed nodded. You felt Nadia's grip get looser at the news.

Seol: How long?

Reed: There's no telling. Could be days. Could be weeks. Months. Even years. Until he collects the last three blessings, we don't stand a chance against the Celestials.

Widow looked at her sake before sighing.

Widow: He's right.

Y/N: I know.

Reed: It's best for you to leave as soon as possible. Like I said, we don't know when Thanos is going to attack.

You nodded. Looks like this was your new mission. You had to travel to places unknown to became a god. No biggie. The problem is leaving behind everyone again.

Nadia: I'm going to.

Everyone looked at her in shock.

Y/N: Wha...

Nadia: I just got you back. I can't let you do this alone.

Y/N: But you heard him. This could take years and.....

Nadia: It doesn't matter. Even if I can't help you in combat, I will be the person you can fall back on. Just like you did for me.

You gulped. You gritted you teeth before you nodded.

Y/N: Ok then.

Janet: I don't know if I should really approve this but, I know you'll face threats like this in the future anyway. Better to get first hand experience after all.

Scott: I don't like this. I don't really have a say though.

You both looked at Widow who shrugged.

Widow: She's not apart of the Program anymore. Even if she was, I'm not.

Looks like it was settled.

Venom: Ssspace is a ssscary place kid. Better be prepared.

You smiled.

Y/N: I think I'll be good to go. I do have one more thing I need to do before I go though. There's someone I need to say goodbye to.

Victor sat on his porch with his book. The day was cold, snow had began to fall, and he was at peace. Molly had just gotten off the phone with him and Pancake was asleep on the chair next to him. As he flipped the page, a bright circle appeared. He looked up in shock before you stepped through.

Victor: Y/N? You know magic now?

You shrugged.

Y/N: Yeah. Got it while I was traveling through time. How have you been old man?

Victor stood up and greeted you at the steps.

Victor: Getting older. I haven't heard from you in the past few months.

Y/N: No one has. I went MIA for a bit. Won a tournament, went of a date with a K-Pop group, got the Godslayer Protocol taken out of me. Lots of stuff.

Victor: Sounds like a lot of unpack. I'm guessing you're not here to talk about it though.

You shook your head as you shoved your hands in your pockets. You looked out at the open area and recalled your time with the Strikers.

Y/N: I came to say goodbye.

Victor: Goodbye?

Y/N: I'm leaving. No clue how long.

Victor looked up into the sky and you laughed.

Y/N: Yeah. I have to go meet some gods.

Victor: Of course you do.

He looked at you and saw the ring hanging around your neck.

Victor: You know, I don't think I ever told you the story behind that ring.

You shook your head.

Victor: It's the same one I proposed to your mother with. I couldn't afford much so that had to do for the time being. She loved it so much that she refused to get a different one.

You smiled.

Y/N: It's been through a lot then.

You turned to Victor and smiled.

Y/N: Thank you. For everything you've done.

Victor: It's what a father does. Push their kids in the right direction.

You and him hugged.

Victor: Should I tell Molly that her big brother is leaving?

You nodded.

Y/N: She deserves to know.

You both separated before you looked back at the portal.

Y/N: I need to go now.

Victor: Yeah.

Y/N: Bye, dad.

You stepped through the protal and smiled as it closed.

Victor: Goodbye son.

You turned to Nadia and nodded. You both walked down the hall where you met Reed and Widow.

Reed: The ship is ready for everything. Remember what I told you about it.

Y/N: Got it.

Nadia: I'm sure I can fix something if there's a problem.

You then turned to Widow.

Y/N: Guess this is goodbye.

Widow: For now.

You both hugged before you sighed.

Y/N: Thanks for being my fill in mom.

Widow let go of you and smiled.

Widow: You may not be my child, but you are my son.

You smiled. Her and Nadia hugged before you both turned to the ship. Nadia grabbed your hand and offered a reassuring smile. You both entered. You looked around the controls and laughed.

Y/N: Never thought I would see the stars when I was on the streets. Now I'm going straight to them.

Nadia: Life is weird like that.

You smiled as you activated the ship. As it took off, you thought back on everyone and everything. Things were changing drastically now. You were no longer in the safety of earth. It was just you and Nadia now. As the sky slowly turned black, you smiled. You looked at the very things that the Old Man used to dream about.

You headed, to the stars.
