You slept for most of the week following the disaster that was destroying one of A.I.M.'s secret bases. Venom made sure you woke up to eat or drink or use the bathroom. Widow continued to remind you to stay in bed until the drug, Anti-Cells they were officially called by Tony, wore off completely. The Avenegers investigated whatever of left of the lab and found some other things to. There was a whole lot of vibranium down there.

Venom kept you company for most of the day and if you weren't sleeping, you were texting Felicia. She ended up calling you some time after your returned home asking if you were ok. You told her you were feeling a little under the weather since you didn't want to worry her. Seriously, you weren't going to tell your girlfriend you got shot!

The most surprising past of your recovery was a surprised visitor. You quickly pulled your scarf over your face when Black Cat climbed through your window. You had the closet door open when you saw a black figure open the window.

Black Cat: Hey there Franky~

Y/N: What are you doing here? Scratch that. How did you not trip the alarms?

Black Cat just smiled as she leaned against your desk. The lights from outside made her suit glow a bit.

Venom: Why isss ssshe sssso familiar. Thissss ssscent..

Black Cat: I've broken in before. Twice actually.

Twice? Was she the one responsible for stealing everyone's stuff? And then she broke in again to give it back. Why? What was her game?

Black Cat: I just wanted to see if you were still alive. You look better.

True. You didn't look so sick anymore and you can summon a proper fireball. She continued to look at you before turning back to the window.

Black Cat: Try not to get shot anymore. So long Frankenstein.

And with that, she was gone. You didn't see her after that which was both a relief, and kinda disappointing. Sure she was a crook and technically a bad guy, but she did help you out. Plus she didn't have to give everyone's stuff back either. Maybe she isn't so bad after all.

Finally came the day that you were finally able to go back to being a Hero. Only for Widow to toss you a F/C backpack filled with notebooks, binders, and a bunch of other stuff.

Widow: School starts tomorrow. You know the rules about identities already so just focus on blending in.

Right. School. Great. You were excited for school. You were more excited to use the simulator again....

Widow: Training for today has been canceled so you all can prepare for class tomorrow. Get some more rest.

Oh. Well at least you can, sleep? You've been sleeping all week. You wanted to do something already! Practice with your fire again or freeze something. Well at least you can pop your claws in and out while you sat in your empty room bored out of your mind. Maybe you could go to the Cafe? Maybe Felicia could meet you there.

The day has come. The first day of school. Your heart was racing from the excitement of a new adventure. The people you'll meet, the things you'll do! You just hoped that everything was like it was on TV. You were walking down the street along with Miles, Danny, and Sam. Venom stayed under your shirt but talked to you about calming down because school was not something to get excited about.

Miles: I haven't seen you this excited since you met the Avengers.

Sam: There's nothing to be excited about. School sucks. The lessons are boring, there's bullies everywhere, and if there's a problem we can't even help!

Oh. Bullies were those people you saw on TV. They didn't seem that bad. Actually they seemed kinda comical. Sure, not being able to help out if a bad guy attacks would surely suck, but you at least get to make friends! Right? Guys?

Danny: Y/N and I have never been to school before. We're excited for a new experience.

Sam: Still sucks. Besides you two will fit in just fine!

Y/N: What do you mean?

Miles: Chicks dig the whole California thing Danny has going on.

Danny: I was born in New York.

Sam: And Y/N is all friendly and handsome and crap! You already have half the tower crushing on you and a smoking hot girlfriend. I mean she's  the Felicia Hardy. The two of you will be on top of the social ladder before the day is over.

You glare at him for his comment about Felicia before looking at your phone. You had a text from Viv and Riri telling you good luck on your first day. They weren't going to attend school with the rest fo the team thanks to their intelligence. As for the rest of the girls, they were still getting ready by the time you left the tower. Sam said it was some kind of tradition they started when they joined the Project. Today was also the first time you'll get to see Marvel without her mask and learn her real name.

You then opened your conversation with Felicia/Cat. Felicia was mostly talking about how excited she was to see you at school while Cat was, well being Cat. You finally reached the gates of the school and you tucked your phone away. You had seen it before a few times while on patrol. It looked a lot bigger from down here.

Sam: Welcome to Hell.

Miles: You're such a downer.

You walked towards the entrance before you felt someone wrap their arms around your neck. Your senses didn't go off so whoever it was, they didn't mean harm. You then heard a very seductive voice in your ear.

Cat: Guess who~

She let go and you turned around to get a look at her. Her hair was done up and she wore a black shirt, once again with a band logo, and a pair of light jeans.

Y/N: Hey there Cat.

Cat hummed before looking around.

Cat: You're the only one who knows about that. When other people are around, call me Felicia. When we're alone feel free to call me whatever you like~

You blushed at her teasing. Seems she finally broke you.

Venom: Ssshe can call usss daddy.

Y/N: Ew. No. Why did you say it like that?

Venom: Daddy?

Y/N: Stop that.

Cat looked over to your friends and gave a quick wave. She knew Miles and Danny already and Sam kinda knew her from the two times he went to the Cafe with you.

Cat: Hello boys~

You peeked over your shoulder see Miles playfully roll his eyes, Danny wink back, and Sam get redder than a lobster.

Cat: So you're a junior right? That means we won't have any classes together.

That's right. Felicia is a year older so she was a grade above you. Also, at least by Sam's account, she was quite well known throughout the school. You got to see this first hand when you saw everyone that passed by greet her.

Y/N: Someone's popular.

Cat: Felicia doesn't like that word. I mostly deal with the social stuff and she takes care of the education. We got beauty and brawn.

You laughed at her joke and began to walk into the school with the others in tow. You looked over and saw a group waving Cat over.

Y/N: Looks like duty calls.

Cat looked over and Felicia was back in the seat.

Felicia: A-are you sure? I was going to show you and Danny around.

You shook your head.

Y/N: Go ahead. Miles already offered to show us around anyway. Plus I'm supposed to meet up with some other friends later.

Felicia seemed hesitant but eventually agreed. Cat took over once again.

Cat: In that case, I'll see you at lunch lover boy~

You smiled before you felt her hand brush against you butt. You didn't think much about it until you saw her smirk. She totally did that on purpose.she walked away with a wink and joined with the group. You turned back to see Sam glaring at you.

Sam: I am so jealous.

At least he was honest. Miles decided to start the tour and lead you and Danny down the hall. Sam followed not really paying attention.

The tour came to an end and you were beyond excited. Everything looked just like it did on TV. So far, so good. Until you bumped into someone. They ended up falling down and you immediately felt bad.

Venom: Oh no. I know thisss ssscent.

Y/N: I'm sorry about that. I didn't see you.

You held out your hand to help the person up. You noticed they had a shark backpack. They also kinda looked like Gwen.

???: Thank you!

She jumped right back up with your help. She then looked at you up and down. She then looked to Miles and Sam who were internally shaking.

???: Oh! You must be a new person.

Y/N: Yeah I just moved here....

???: No no no. No. You and I both know what I mean. This is the part where you meet me for the first time to set up a new story arc in which we team up. I know this trope. So who are you? Or are you replacing someone?

What was this girl on about? Team up? Trope? Did she know Miles and Sam? Seriously! Who is this girl?!

???: You look confused. To be fair I don't think I ever read about you. Did you have your own series at some point?

Series?

Venom: Trussst me kid. Jusssst turn away and run.

???: My name is Gwen.

Another Gwen? That could get confusing.

Gwen: And if you already know Gwen Stacy then just call me Gwendolyn.

That didn't make things much easier. Who gives you their nickname first?

Y/N: I'm Y/N.

Venom: Introductionsss are over. Time to go.

Gwendolyn: You know, you look exactly how I would imagine a harem protagonist would look like in real life.

Y/N: Harem?

The bell rung and Gwendolyn pulled on her bag straps.

Gwendolyn: Well this is goodbye for now. I will see you later in costume!

She then vanished down the hall. Your head hurt but it wasn't another headache. What was she on about? Seriously? What the hell?

Venom: You're better off not talking to her.

Sam: I fully agree. That one is an oddball.

Y/N: What do you mean?

Miles: I'll explain later. Let's get to class.

Is no one going to explain what she meant by team up?!
