You didn't see Quentin at school Monday. This made the turning pain in your stomach worsen. You didn't tell Nadia about what had happened out of fear that she would go after him. He was too unpredictable as of right now. You didn't tell anyone on the team either. You spent most of the weekend locked in your room trying to come up with a plan. You couldn't figure anything out.

When you got to school, you noticed a lot of the football players were looking over their shoulder. Seems like Quentin's threat got around. Things only worsen when you made it to your science class.

Mrs. Holgan: What do you mean they're missing?

You looked up from your table and noticed that she was talking to the chemistry teacher.

Mr. Richards: I mean they're all gone. All of the chemicals we just got last month.

You felt your eye twitch. It couldn't have been Quentin right? Math wasn't much better.

Mike: A lot of the equipment is missing from the locker rooms.

Gerald: Like what?

Mike: Shoulder pads, padding. Stuff like that.

You felt your body grow cold. Two cases of stolen supplies?

Danny: You ok? You look pale.

Y/N: Yeah. I'm fine.

You made a choice. That choice ended up with you on the subway traveling to Nadia's. You had to tell her. You should've told her earlier. You shouldn't have hid this from her.

Venom: Whatever you do, don't let her pursssue Quentin.

Y/N: I know.

You ended up at her home and knocked on the door. You didn't even stop by the tower so you still had your backpack with you. The door suddenly opened to reveal a woman.

Janet: Oh, hello. Can I help you?

Y/N: Is Nadia home? I'm a friend from school.

Janet looked you up and down vefore smiling.

Janet: I know you are, Monster. Come in.

She opened the door more for you to enter.

Janet: Nadia is in her room upsta....

You rushed up the stairs and towards the room which read "Nadia". You knocked on the door.

Nadia: Hello?

You phased through the door and dropped your bag. Nadia was on her bed looking through her phone. She was definitely surprised to see you.

Nadia: Y/N?

Y/N: I messed up!

Nadia sat up.

Nadia: What do you mean?

You ran your hands through your hair as you started pacing.

Y/N: Quentin wasn't in the film room Friday. He was behind the gym threatening the football team with his drones. He went full villain and even threatened to kill them if they messed with him or either of us.

Nadia looked worried.

Nadia: Quentin wouldn't, no. He wouldn't kill someone!

Y/N: HE ALREADY DID!

You grabbed your head.

Y/N: He killed Chester.

Nadia was speechless. You could see the fear start to settle on her face. Her eyes grew distant as she clenched her chest.

Nadia: No.

Y/N: I confronted him about it and he told me everything. He knows about you and me being Heroes.

Nadia snapped her head up.

Nadia: How?!

Y/N: I don't know! He figured it out!

You slid down against the wall as you began to panic.

Y/N: I, I think he stole a bunch of stuff from the school. I told him that I would come after him if he didn't stop.

Nadia buried her face in her hands as the two of you started to panic.

Nadia: This is all my fault.

You rasied your head to look at her.

Nadia: Last week he came over, he must've heard me talking about him. I-I said I couldn't ever fate him because he's like my brother!

You're eyes widened. That's why he was asking you those questions. He thought she had feelings for you.

Y/N: This is my fault to.

The two of you sat in silence for what seemed like an entirety. This was a bad situation no matter how you saw it. Suddenly, Venom appeared on your shoulder.

Venom: Are we jussst going to sssit here or are we going to go find him?

You looked at him.

Y/N: You said you didn't want her going after him.

Venom: I changed my mind. We need to find him. Reassson with him.

Nadia: There's no reasoning with him. Once he gets so.ething in his head, he doesn't let it go.

Venom: We have to! Pleassse!

You just lowered your head. Nadia shook hers.

Venom: Anything...

You punched the floor as you tried to think. Something. Anything! Why couldn't you think of anything?!

Nadia: We, we should go see him.

You looked up.

Y/N: Yes. We should.

You stood up and Nadia followed you out the door. You both rushed down the stairs where Nadia grabbed her bag.

Janet: How long will you....

You both left the house and rushed to the train station. Maybe it wasn't too late. Nadia said he was stubborn but maybe you could explain everything. Maybe you could get him to turn himself in. Anything damnit! You both got off the subway and quickly made your way to Quentin's apartment. Ot was within view which almost made you smile.

Nadia: We're almost.....

BOOM!

You and Nadia were knocked off your feet by the suddenly explosion. You looked up and saw that Quentin's floor was on fire.

Nadia: QUENTIN!

You stood up and pulled Venom covered the lower half of your face. Suddenly a figure emerged from the fire, floating on top of a green cloud.

Y/N: No way. That can't be....

???: Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to introduce myself.

Nadia: Quentin....

Quentin: I AM THE MASTER OF ILLUSIONS! MYSTERIO!

He then flew down at great speeds before narrowly avoiding any civilians. He pointed both of his hands out and green smoke filled the air. Nadia covered her mouth and your closed your eyes. When you opened them you found yourself in a green haze.

Y/N: Nadia?

Nadia: I'm here.

She grabbed onto the back of your jacket so she didn't get lost.

Nadia: Where did he go?

Y/N: I don't know.

Venom: I can't sssmell anything.

You tried to look through the haze but you suddenly heard screams. You watched as people began to run past you in fear. You turned back around just as a giant dinosaur appeared from the haze. You grabbed Nadia and jumped back to avoid getting bit. You began to run out of the haze but found it to be endless.

Y/N: What the hell?!

You looked back and found that the dinosaur was gone. You stopped running and looked around.

Mysterio: I see you two are closer than ever.

You felt your senses go off and leaped back to avoid a giant hammer. The smoke seperated to reveal a giant holding said giant hammer.

Mysterio: They say that death brings people closer. Let's test that out!

The giant brought his hammer down bit you leaped away. You couldn't use your flames since it may ignite the gas. You also could fight this thing since you were still holding Nadia. You ended up spotting a bit of the building next to you through the smoke and leaped towards it. You just needed to escape the smoke. You moved yourself to touch the building but it was suddenly gone. You and Nadia ended up rolling away.

Y/N: Shit. He's using the smoke to mess with us.

Mysterio: Congratulations Hero! You figured it out. There's just one problem...

The giant appeared again and slammed his hammer into you.

Mysterio: The pain is very real.

You landed a few yards away. You slowly picked youself back up and looked around. You couldn't see anything through the smoke.

Mysterio: You know, you really are my friend. At least, I thought so. I took a step back and thought things through. You protected me and I let you in on my life. I let you meet my friend. The only girl I ever had feelings for. Imagine how betrayed I felt when I saw the way she looked at you.

Suddenly a humanoid creature emerged from the smoke and attacked you.

Mysterio: I decided to get stronger. So I did.

Another monster attacked you. Why wasn't your senses going off?

Mysterio: Now, I don't need you. I don't even need Nadia. I have all the power I could ever want at my finger tips.

A third monster sliced your chest. You fell to the ground as your wounds healed.

Mysterio: You were my friend. Only of my only friends. I didn't want to hate you. Really. But I wasn't taking chances. You're in my way, so I'm going to push you out of my way.

A fourth monster emerged from the smoke but was blasted away. Nadia emerged from the haze in her Wasp gear. The smoke began to part as Mysterio came into view.

Mysterio: You both better stay in your lane or suffer the consequences.

The smoke began to swirl and just like that, it was gone. Quentin, the dinosaur, the giant, everything. It was onmy you and Nadia on the empty street. Sirens filled the air as you both looked at the empty air where Quentin just was. Nadia dropped to her knees in defeat.

Venom: We need to go.

Right. You grabbed Nadia and ignited your feet to blast away.

You ended up resting on a building a few blocks away. Nadia had been silent for the last hour and you were now watching the sun set.

Venom: Why? Why isss thisss happening?

Y/N: I don't know.

You wish you did. Why did Quentin have to do this? Why did he have to be an enemy.

Nadia: I can't do this.

You looked over to her. She was curled up in a ball.

Nadia: I can't. I just can't.

She started to cry. You scooted closer and threw an arm around her.

Nadia: I can't. I can't.

You held her close as you looked into the sunset.

Y/N: I don't think I can either.
