Late Night Food Run Pt. 1

You loved living in the new base since you pretty much had freedom to do as you wished. You and Felicia each had your own rooms so you always had somewhere to go if you needed the silence. You had an entire floor dedicated to training which was beyond exciting. Cat had gotten used to her new gear; the staff, the special pallets, and the new vibramium claws. She was having just a bit too much fun with those claws.

Robbie spent most of his time in the living room or in the garage working on his car and you completely destroyed bike. It was getting better. Tyrone and Tandy trained often or usually hung around with you and Felicia. Doreen fell in love with Central Park and you hardly saw her around when she found a new tree to explore. You could also see that she had a lot more squirrels in her room. Molly mostly hung out with you or watched TV with Robbie.

Your relationship with the Program was now somewhat what is used to be. Widow had arranged a joint training session by pinning the Program against the Strikers. The match was over in a matter of seconds. So was the second. So was the third. Everyone just gave up and convinced Widow just to let them play paint ball. You just hung out in the lounge with Nadia and Quentin.

The little nerd was back. It was good and you wished Venom was here to see it.

Everything was going great, until Fury finally assigned the Strikers a "nanny". This had caught everyone off guard since Felicia was already 18. Why couldn't she be the nanny?

Fury: Because she's one of your girlfriends and she's prone to manipulation.

Felicia looked like she wanted to be offended but she couldn't.

Fury: That being said, you're new nanny will be there this afternoon.

And who was this nanny?

Spidey: Hey gang!

Spider-Man. Peter Parker. He was in charge of watching over a group of overly super powered teenagers. Great choice. At first everything seemed like it would go well. Training and whatnot. He would make/get you food and make sure you were all patched up and whatnot. Then he dropped the bomb.

Spidey: Curfew is at 8 and lights out is at 9.

Everyone: WHAT?!

Robbie: We have a curfew now? And a bed time? What the hell?

Y/N: Pete, come on. We're not a bunch of kids....

Spidey: Curfew and lights out stays. There's no debate.

Everyone groaned. Being a secret agent loses all coolness when you have. Abed time.

Spidey: Since you'll be running SHEILD missions and such, you'll need to be well rested. Plus you have school on top of things starting pretty soon.

Molly: I can't belive Super Heroes have bed times.

So what did that lead to? Going to bed at 9 every night. A week in and everyone was already tired of it. You and Felicia couldn't even sneak off to have fun anymore. Having guests over wasn't an option either. Everyone had to be out by 8:30 which was beyond annoying. You weren't about to blame Spidey but you were TOTALLY BLAMING SPIDEY!

Y/N: Pete. Can we talk?

He was enjoying toast when you approached him. He smiled.

Spidey: Of course. What does the fearless leader of the Strikers have on his mind?

You sat down at the table and folded your hands.

Y/N: Well, everyone has been talking. We all came to a conclusion.

Spidey: And what is this conclusion.

Y/N: Well, Spider-Man sir, we all decided that the need for a curfew and lights out is unnecessary. We believe that we are old enough to know when to come home and go to bed.

Spidey sipped on his mug.

Spidey: Nope.

You flung the plate across the room and pointed at him.

Y/N: THIS IS BULLSHIT PETER! COMPLETE BULLSHIT!

And now you were on the couch pissed as Spidey announced it was now past curfew. Everyone had opted to watch TV. Everyone was a little frustrated at the arrangement but Spidey didn't seem to notice. That or he didn't care.

Spidey: Lights out in an hour.

He dissapeared to his "room" leaving you all alone. He didn't actually live with you all but he stayed an hour past lights out to make sure no one snuck out.

Robbie: This blows.

Tyrone: I feel so rested but so frustrated.

You sighed as you laid back against the couch. Molly was in charge of the TV but no one really cared what was on. Then, it happened.

TV: Do you like burritos?!

Everyone sat up.

Everyone: Yes.

TV: Do you like tacos?!

Everyone: Yes.

TV: Do you like enchiladas?!

Everyone: Yes!

TV: Do you like any and all Mexican food?!

Everyone: YES!

TV: Then come on down to Joyce's Mexican Madness in Brooklyn! We have the best Mexican food in all of New York! We're open 24 hours everyday!

You stood up and everyone looked at you. You clenched your fist and lifted it up to your chest.

Y/N: Ladies. Gentlemen. I think you all know what I'm thinking.

Tyrone: Joyce's Mexican Madness?

You pinted at him and whispered.

Y/N: Joyce's Mexican Madness.

Doreen: But it's past curfew and lights out is in a hour.

You nodded and you rested your hands on your hips.

Y/N: Yes. Yes it is. You see my friends, a year ago I would've never thought about something like I'm about to suggest. But I think it needs to be said.

Tyrone: Say it.

Everyone looked to you. You bit your thumb before sighing.

Y/N: I'm going to sneak out and get the best Mexican food in New York.

Everyone gasped.

Felicia: It's suicide!

Y/N: I know.

Tandy: You'll never make it.

Y/N: I'll never know if I don't try damnit!

Robbie and Molly stood up and saluted to you.

Robbie: Godspeed.

Molly: You will be remembered.

You just took a deep breath as a lone tear fell.

Y/N: I have to do it. For the tacos.

Everyone stood up and began to slowly clap. You got some pats on the back and a kiss from Tandy and Felicia.

Spidey: What's going on here?

Everyone turned to see Peter standing there.

Robbie/Tandy: Just talking about the Indy 500.

They both looked at each other and smiled.

Robbie/Tandy: Nice!

They high-fived and turned back to Peter.

Spidey: I don't even want to know. Lights out in 30.

He headed to the kitchen and everyone all huddled into a circle.

Y/N: Now I know I have the potential to be a God and everything but I can't do this alone. I need someone to tag along.

Doreen: Oh oh! I'll go! I always wanted to do something cool like this. Rebel against the man!

You all just looked at her.

Y/N: Ok. Anyone else wanna tag along?

Molly: Me.

Everyone: No.

Molly: Aw man.

Robbie: Felicia? Tandy? Do you not want to go with your boyfriend?

Tandy: I'm not about to get kicked out for Mexican food.

Felicia: I'm not a cat burglar anymore. I don't break in or out of anything.

Tyrone: I would go but a black teen walking around New York suspiciously doesn't ever end well.

Robbie: I would go but We can't take my car. Too much noise.

Y/N: Well I guess it's just you and me Doreen.

Doreen: Yay!

You smiled as you looked at her.

Y/N: I have a plan.
-------
You pretended to sleep as Peter did bed checks a hour after curfew. As soon as he was gone, you waited 25 minutes before peeking out of your door. He was gone. You left your room and looked across the way and saw Doreen peek out of her room. You both gave a thumbs up before descending the stairs.

Time to start operation Mexican Madness Food Run. Molly's idea.

Doreen: Let's do this!

You nodded. You opened the door and stepped out.
