Lunch was enjoyable and Thor did not do party tricks. Turns out you would be meeting him later. Tony began to lead you all downstairs to look at their simulation room. It was supposed to be bigger than yours so you were excited. Tony lead you all to the booth where you found Thor and someone you were hoping to avoid.

Viv: Hello dad.

Vision: Hello Vivian.

He then turned to the rest of you.

Vision: Hello everyone. And Y/N L/N.

Why were you singled out?!

Tony: Try not to kill the kid. We need him around for when we're too old.

Vision: I would not kill him. I would prefer to make him worry about what I may or may not do.

That wasn't much better.

Thor: Haha! Cut the boy some slack. He was merely testing the waters to see if your daughter was a proper mate.

NO! WHAT THE ACTUALLY HELL THOR?!

Vision: Is that so?

Y/N: No sir! It was just a friendly date! No ulterior motives whatsoever!

Tony placed a hand on Vision's shoulder trying not to laugh.

Tony: Let's just show them the simulation.

Vision stared at you for a few more moments before turning to the control panel.

Miles: Yikes. That was tough.

Danny: He disturbed the flowing stream. It is now a roaring river.

You just sighed while they held your shoulders supportively. Laura and Kitty opted to just stand in the corner since they were already used to this stuff. Riri and Viv hung back and chatted about something you couldn't hear. Danny, Miles, Gwen, and yourself all watched as the simulation came to life.

Vision: The simulator has data on all enemies the Avengers have faced. We can simulate any foe.

He then turned back around.

Vision: Who would like to go first?

Before Danny could volunteer, Vision looked to you.

Vision: How nice of your to volunteer Y/N. Please step into the simulator.

You pointed to Danny but Vision stepped closer. He then bent down to look you in the eyes.

Vision: Step in.

You froze up before running into the white room. You kicked off your shoes and pulled off your flannel. You watched as the window vanished to blend into the rest of the room. You heard their voices over the speakers.

Tony: Alright so we'll just pop some people up and you'll take them down. Simple enough right?

You heard clicking.

Tony: Woah Vision. You're just going to jump to level 8? Not even building it up huh?

Vision: He can deal with it.

Could you? This was Avenger level enemies. You watched as several figures appeared but they weren't thugs. They were alien creatures. Chitarui.

Vision: Begin.

The creatures rushed you but you popped out your claws and began to fight through them. You were able to cut through quickly while dodging the oncoming fire. You ducked down to avoid a swing and kicked up with a flaming kick which shatter the enemy. You stood back up and heard another click.

Tony: Level 9.

More enemies appeared. They began to move and you were amazed to see that they were moving like they were actually able to think. You ignited you feet and kept your claws out. You began to leap around and slice through the enemies. It was easy enough since you were used to this kind of training. You froze one of them and threw it right at another group. You then fired a fireball which erupted and destroyed the four of them. You leaped back and preformed a Chinatown Kick.

You stood back up and smiled. This was actually kind of fun. You were used to a bunch of thugs so this was different. You heard another click meaning it was now level 10.

Tony: Alright kid, time for a boss fight.

Thor: A worthy opponent for a worthy warrior!

You waited for who you were to face. Someone began to materialize but you froze.

Vision: Taskmaster simulation complete.

You just stood there frozen in place.

From the booth, everyone watched as you stood still. Taskmaster began to take his stance.

Miles: Why isn't he doing anything?

Danny: This is indeed odd. He would normally be excited to face someone like him.

Tony looked down at the panel and narrowed his eyes at your data.

Viv: His heartbeat has increased drastically and his vitals are inconsistent.

Everyone looked back to you. You were just standing there. Not even flinching as Taskmaster began to move around.

???: Y/N!

???: You are destined for greatness

???: You will not touch my son!

???: Y/N? Y/N can you hear me?

You began to shake. You felt the electricity begin to spread throughout your body. Everyone watched as your eyes began to twitch. Your claws popped out and your feet ignited in flames. Your arms were covered in ice and the entire room began to cool enough for ice to appear on the walls.

Tony: What is he doing?

Vision: His vitals are off the charts.

Then, you vanished. The electricity had hit the panel causing it to malfunction as you zipped around the room with such speed that you were unseen. You sliced through Taskmaster only for him to reappear. You continued to leap around leaving either burns or frost behind. You sliced, hit, and kicked over and over again. You were growling like an animal as you pushed yourself further and further. You legs began to break once you hit the walls but you pushed past the pain and continued to attack Taskmaster.

Tony: Friday disable the simulation!

F.R.I.D.A.Y: System rebooting.

Tony hit the panel.

Tony: Turn it off!

You move faster and faster. Your vitals were dangerously high causing concern. Elsewhere in the tower, Bruce and Wanda watched as the lights flickered and the TV turned on and off.

Bruce: What's going on?

You continued to leap around and attack while Tony and Vision worked to shut it down. Thor decided to step in and entered the room to try and stop you.

Thor: Hold Y/N!

You didn't listen. You instead slammed a foot right into his chest which sent him flying back into the booth.

Thor: He did not hold.

Tony turned back the panel and saw that the reboot was done.

Tony: SHUT IT DOWN!

F.R.I.D.A.Y: Shutting down simulation.

Taskmaster vanished and the room returned to normal casting you to stop. You stood up and everyone could finally see you. Your left arm was completely covered in ice while your right leg was ablaze. Your claws were out and you were bleeding from various places. Electricity sparked all over your body. The room was covered by ice and burns. You were breathing hard, your breath visible.

Then you collapsed.

You opened your eyes and found yourself in a room you didn't recognize. You looked around and noticed the monitors and realized you were in a hospital room of sorts. You looked over and found Viv reading a book with Kitty asleep on her shoulder. Miles and Danny were on the floor next to them sleeping back to back. Viv looked up and spotted you.

Viv: You are awake.

She lifted her shoulder up with enough face to wake up Kitty. She then reached over and nudged Miles who sat up waking Danny. Everyone looked over to you and rushed to your side.

Miles: Dude you're awake!

Kitty: How're you feeling?

Danny: Have your wounds healed?

You sat up and looked at all of them.

Y/N: I feel fine. What happened?

They all looked at you surprised.

Miles: You don't remember?

You shook your head. The last thing you recalled was fight in the simulator. Level 9 and after that...

Y/N: Aw man. Did I get knocked out?!

Everyone seemed taken aback. Dang it. You were knock out in front of your friends and the Avengers?! Could your day get any worse? The door opened and Tony walked in with Widow.

Tony: Oh, the little rascal is awake. About time.

He crossed his arms and glared at you.

Tony: Care to explain why my $6,000,000,000 training simulator is in shambles?

Widow: Tony.

Tony shook his head as he leaned against the drawer.

Tony: What the hell was that even?

Widow: It looked like you lost all sense of control.

What were they talking about? They must have seen your confusion.

Danny: Do you really not remember?

Y/N: No. What happened?

Viv: He is telling the truth.

Widow walked over to your bed and placed a hand on yours.

Widow: Kid, you went completely crazy in the simulator. Tony summoned up a simulation of Taskmaster and you ended up destroying the room.

Y/N: What's Taskmaster?

Now everyone looked confused. No seriously. What is a Taskmaster?

Y/N: Sorry about the room. I really don't know what you guys are talking about through.

Tony and Widow shared a look.

Tony: Alright then. You're staying the night here. Everyone else can go home.

Your friends seemed concerned but Natasha signaled for them to follow. They said their goodbyes and Tony tossed you a fresh pair of clothes.

Tony: I'll show you to the guest room.
