Guys, please don't just release your pets into the wild or abandon them on the side of the road. They'll either die or get hurt or end up hurting someone.

Sentiment is one of the most powerful magics in the world. All the love you've ever felt for your pet can turn them into something good (example: a witch's familiar). If you abandon a pet it could do the opposite.

I got a call today to take down a Direwolf, or what the people thought was a Direwolf. I hunted it down and once I killed it I learned that it had been a Doberman. The poor thing had morphed into something that was evidently not a dog anymore and tried to go back to its old owners, feeling betrayed.

I won't put down any more dogs. If I get to your house and learn that the 'monster' that's been messing with you is your old family pet I'm leaving. Call animal control or someone else, I don't put down something that the only thing they ever did wrong was loving you.

Either love your pets or find someone who will. Don't call me when they come back.

There was another case, where someone was hearing things in their walls. When I arrived I found a giant snake living in these people's walls. It was someone's old boa constrictor that they couldn't take care of anymore. Though it wasn't just a boa anymore. I took care of it for these people because it wasn't their fault the beats had chosen to live in their house. If you have big or wild pets (I've heard of people with tigers, bobcats, etc) please don't just let them go, call a shelter or a zoo. Not only is owning something like that mostly illegal (laws may vary depending on where you live and if you have a permit) if you just let it go it can cause major problems for someone else.

Please be considerate of each other and your pets.
