Last Time On Monster Hunter Railgun..........

She begins to use her sword to slash at the tail as much as she can. As she did this, several large cuts begins to appear on the Black Diablos tail. She did one final slash on the tail. That one last slash cuts the club like part of the Black Diablos tall off.

The Black Diablos roars out in pain. It looks back to see that its tail is cut off. It then notice Winda. The Black Diablos narrows its eyes at Winda in both in fury and in anger.

Just before it could even think about attack her, something has made Black Diablos from moving. It has felt something on its head.

It was Mikoto. She is acting on that mysterious instinct again. She is standing on the Black Diablos horns. Using her sword, she use it stab in between the area where the horns start. The blade begins to goes all the way in there. The sword was able to stab something within the Black Diablos skull. Its brain.

The Black Diablos roars out in pain. It begins to shake and jump around to shake Mikoto off of its head. Mikoto begins to hold onto the sword so she can stay on. TO end this quickly, she pushed more of the sword into the Black Diablos skull.

The shaking and jumping around begins to slow down. The Black Diablos eyes begins to slowly close. The Black Diablos body begins to sway a little bit before falling on its stomach. The Black Diablos has been slayed.

Mikoto begins to breath hard. She then slowly blinks her eyes to see that she just killed a Black Diablos.

"Whoa...........I just.... killed it." said Mikoto as she hops off the dead Black Diablos head.

"Wow Mikoto. I am surprised. You were able to kill it. How did you know to stab it in between its horns?" asked Winda.

"I don't know.... it... just happened. Like something within me... knows what to do...." Said Mikoto.

"Its possibly your instincts again. I believe is how you were able to kill it in one attack." Said Winda as she pats Mikoto on the head in a happy way.

Mikoto smiles from it. "So what now?" asked Mikoto.

"Now we go find a place to rest. As much I hate to say it, we will have to travel again when it is night time." Said Winda as she begins to walk to find someplace to rest. Rathy begins to walk as well with Winda to help find said place.

"I... guess.... you have a point." Said Mikoto as she begins to walk with Winda to find a place to rest until it is night time. After what they experience, they might need a place to stay until it is night time.

The gang has traveled the desert region of this monster world. Along the way, they had a quick stop so that the humans can cool down a little. It was then that Mikoto saw the bones of a Elder Dragon and learns a little bit about them. Suddenly, they were ambushed by a Black Diablos. It was a struggle but the Black Diablos was killed in the end by Mikoto. Now the group is finding a area to rest until it is night time to continue their travels.

With Mikoto.......

With a bit of traveling in the desert area, the group has found a place to rest in until it is night time. It is a big cave that is just big enough for Rathy to enter as well.

Mikoto lets out a strong tired sigh. She went over to the wall of the cave and leans on it and sits on her butt to rest. After facing that Black Diablos, she is tired and needs to take a rest.

"Man.... what a day." Said Mikoto.

"Oh come on. Its not that bad." Said Winda as she sits right next to Mikoto. Rathy at the moment, slowly lays on the ground and closes his eyes to rest.

"Maybe to you Winda. But to me, I am just tired. Facing against that Black Diablos was really tiring. And for another thing, my weird instincts took over again and killed it. I still don't know why it keeps happening." Said Mikoto.

Winda was slient at the moment. She is thinking of the best answer to response to that. "I think it might be your primal instinct to fight and survive. It is taking over your body to not only protect you, but also kill the monster as soon as possible." Said Winda.

"Great..... I can kill monsters only when that happens." Said Mikoto.

"Hey..... Why not we ask each other some questions. It might help getting to know each other better." Said Winda as she wants to talk about something else at the moment.

"Oh okay. That sounds like a plan." Said Mikoto.

"So who wants to go first? Me or you?" asked Winda.

"I want to go first." Said Mikoto.

"Okay. Go ahead. Ask me anything and I shall answer." Said Winda.

"Okay........So what is your story Winda? How did you meet Rathy and befriend him if Hunters.... you know.... kill monsters." Said Mikoto.

Winda had her eyes sight look straight downward. "It... happened long ago..... when I was just a child." Said Winda.

Mikoto was surprised at the moment. The tone that was coming from Winda mouth, it sounded...... sad. Like just saying it, she could somehow feel the sadness that was coming from Winda.

"Long ago, it a small village. It was a small place for Hunters to rest up, eat and accept quests to go slay or capture some monsters. At that time, I was just a little child. My parents were the strongest Hunters in the village. They one time took down a bunch of wild Barroth without breaking a sweat." Said Winda with a small smile.

"I see...... Wait....... Um.... Winda? What do you mean by... 'were'?" asked Mikoto.

"You see. Happy times don't always last forever. One day, without any warning, the village was attack by one monster." Said Winda with a sad tone in her voice.

"Just.... one? Your joking right?" asked Mikoto as she gulps nervously.

"I... am afraid not Mikoto. That one monster came to the village and attacked everyone that moved or was in it sights. Everyone tried to evacuate as fast as they could. My parents had to stay behind to fight the monster off just long enough for everyone to escape safely. I, at the time, was looking for them. I got separated from them when all the chaos happened. Just when I found them, the sight of it still burns into my mind." Said Winda.

Flashback..........

A small child with short white hair and a brown leather outfit is frozen still in fear. This is the younger version of Winda.

What is causing the young Winda to be scared is right infront of her. Before her eyes was two human bodies, with metal armor on them, are laying on the ground. Motionless in fact. Also the buildings around her were either destroyed or on fire and is burning to ashes.

And the thing above the two dead bodies was a monster. The fire and smoke around the area made it hard to get a good look at the monster face. The only thing she could see was dark skin and large wings on the monster body.

The monster let out a roar before spreading out its wings. It then begins to flap hard and harder into the air before flying away from the destroyed village.

The young Winda watched the monster leave. Instead of being consumed by fear, it was replaced by something else. Anger and rage. Winda narrowed her eyes before running after the monster.

End Flashback.....

Present Day........

Mikoto was slient as Winda told Mikoto her story back when Winda was just a child. "So you tried to go after the monster when you were just a child?" asked Mikoto.

"Yes I tried to go after it. But.... I lost track of it when I ran into the forest area. Because of the thickness of the leaf's, I got lost and lost track of it as well." Said Winda.

"I... I am sorry for your loss of your parents." Said Mikoto as she feel sorry for Winda pain for losing her parents to a Monster on that day.

Winda patted Mikoto shoulder. "Thank you for saying that." Said Winda.

"Your welcome. So um.... how did you meet Rathy?" asked Mikoto.

"Well... at the same time I lost track of the monster that killed my parents, I tried over a large branch and tumbled down a steep hill in the forest and crashed into a Rathian nest. When I just got back on my feet, I saw that the Rathian was killed and the eggs in the nest were destroyed. I then noticed a small black scale in the nest. Meaning that the same monster that killed my parents, killed this Rathian and the eggs. Well....all but one." Said Winda.

"And that one was Rathy right?" Asked Mikoto as she looks at the sleeping Rathy.

"Yes. I found one surviving egg near the dead body of the Rathian. It looked like the Rathian was trying to protect her last egg with all her remaining strength before dying. At that time, I felt sad for the creature inside of the egg. Without thinking, I just took the egg with me and left the nest. I decided at the point, that I will take care of the creature inside of the egg." Said Winda.

"Wow." Said Mikoto.

"After that, I tried to find the surviving people of the village. When I did, they were not happy that I had a monster egg in my hands. Even more angry at me that I told them that I am going to take care of it. Before they could even thinking yanking it out of my hands, someone stop them. The Hunter commander of the village took pity on me. The commander was friends to my parents so he gave me a chance to prove myself. To prove that I can take care of it and still be a great Hunter to them. I thanked the commander for this amazing chance and told him that I would not let him down." Said Winda.

"I...I am beyond speechless right now." Said Mikoto.

"I know right. Well after that, the surviving people and me manage to find a new place to rest for a moment. At that time, I did my best to make the egg warm and healthy. After about a few days, the egg begins to crack and the creature came out of the egg. A baby Rathalos. That is when I called him Rathy. Since then, Rathy and I become quite bonded with each other. As I grow up to become a more professional Hunter, Rathy begins to grow up as well. Since then, we have been hunting monsters left and right." Said Winda.

"Even the one that killed your parents?" asked Mikoto.

".....No. That monster is still out there somewhere. I can feel it in my gut." Said Winda.

"Well.... I hope you find that monster some day." Said Mikoto.

"Thanks. Now it is my turn  to ask questions Mikoto. Tell me a little bit about yourself and a little bit about your world." asked Winda.

"Well.... the planet I come from is called Planet Earth. For one thing, there are no giant monsters that roam the planet. Just animals and humans. Over the years, the human populations have build cities and have created many wonderful technologies. Though, there are times when the planet has to experience war." Said Mikoto.

"War?" asked Winda.

"Against either other nations or against bad people. But the people always try to seek peace among others. As for me, I came from a city called Academy City. A futuristic city that the technology there is more advance than any where else. Over the 80% population in that city has people with powers. They are called Espers. In that city, they judge the level power a esper has and determine what level they are. The highest level a Esper can be is a Level Five. I am one of the seven Level Fives in Academy City. My Esper power is a Electromaster." Said Mikoto.

"Um..........Electromaster? What does that mean?" asked Winda.

"To make it easy to explain, it allows me to control lighting that comes from body. I can use it to control any Iron Sand and lift anything metal related. I can use this power to flick anything with my hand at super fast speed. It earned me the title 'Railgun'." Said Mikoto.

"I see. So Mikoto...... you sure you can't remember how you got here? To this planet I mean." Said Winda.

Mikoto closes her eyes for a second. "Well.... It is all hazy but I can remember something. I remember hanging out with my friends like any normal day that goes on in Academy City. On that day, my friend Kuroko told me that some strange black stone pillars with ancient markings appeared in the Nature Park in Academy City. " Said Mikoto.

"Black... stone pillars? With ancient markings?" asked Winda.

"Yeah. It was weird. Then suddenly, without any warning.... a massive black storm with blue lighting come out of it, and the cloud was even touching the ground, begins to approach the city. Everyone tries to get inside before the storm came. I was about to get into a building for safety but a strong powerful wind coming from it begins to push against me and launches me into the storm. Once I entered that cloud.... everything was happening so fast that I couldn't make out what was happening before my eyes. Next thing I know, I landed in that jungle where you came to save me from those monsters that were about to eat me." Said Mikoto.

"Hmmm......." Said Winda as she had her hands on her chin as she begins to think.

"What's wrong Winda?" asked Mikoto.

"Mikoto..... I think what ever brought you here, and those strange black stone pillars appearing in your Academy City might be totally related on what's going on here. So I might be right from before. The sudden increase of the monster population and the thing that brought you here are somehow might be related." Said Winda.

"But what does it all mean Winda?" asked Mikoto.

"That... I don't know. But for one thing, it gives a lead for us to look into. For now, just get some rest Mikoto. We resume our journy back the base when it is night time." Said Winda.

"Okay......" Said Mikoto before closing her eyes and begins to take a nap.

Winda watches Mikoto go to sleep. She then smiled. 'Mikoto..... no matter what happens, I promise that I will find a way to help you get back home.' Thought Winda. She then keeps a watch out for the sleeping Mikoto until it is night time.

Mikoto, Winda and Rathy have taken refuge in a cave. Mikoto asked Winda about her past and how did she meet Rathy. It was a sad story when Mikoto heard it. It was then Mikoto turn to tell Winda something. She remembers a little bit on how she got here but nothing on what happened when she was pulled into that strange cloud. Winda now believes that the mysterious increase in the Monsters population and the strange cloud that somehow that brought Mikoto here are indeed connected somehow.
