It was a normal sunny day in the market of the Gem Kingdom, citizens and merchants going along with their day. Hunters having wonderful meals in the large guild room while others looked over the availed quests on the guild board. Inside this guild room, a few Star Knights were drinking and having a good breakfast. In this group of Star Knights was Touka, one of the most high ranking Star Knights in the Gem Kingdom. She was a short brown haired girl with brown eyes and a pretty face. She was also quite young for a Star Knight. Also in this group was her brother Leon, an even high rank then his sister. He hair match hair color and eyes as his sister. His hair was also short but with more spikes while Touka's was more straight.  Leon was having a great time with his fellow Star Knights, eating their breakfast and sharing a few laughs, but Touka did not join in on the fun. She ate with a smile but she was not over react  on her happiness. While everyone was eating, Touka, who was eating peacefully, noticed her glass of water start to slightly vibrate. She thought it was just from the amount of movement from her brother and friends against the table so she did not pay much attention to it. But even after her brother and friends stopped moving with excitement, the water continued to shake. Touka then started to fell rumbles in the rest of her body. And out of nowhere, an earthquake. The entire guild hall started to violently shake, causing hanging pictures to fall, glasses and plates, and even unlit candles. The hall was falling apart. Touka and the rest of the Star Knights acted quickly to protect the rest of the hunters and guild workers and members in the room. Screams of panic echoed throughout the crumbling hall as well as the destruction of falling around them. Sadly not everyone was in safety and were injured, no one was killed though, just many bruises on many people. The quake continued for an extended period of time, which was irregular. After the horrible earthquake subsided, the Star Knights rushed to assist the injured.  Touka, in the meantime, was baffled at what just happened with no warning. Leon came to his sisters side.

"Are you hurt Touka?" Leon asked worriedly.

"N..No. No! I'm not hurt!" she answered, snapping out of her trance.  "Come on lets help the others," she rushed away.

Leon looked at her confused but followed to help her. Something was off and all the Star Knights knew it. The Star Knight group consisted of Touka, Leon and four others. Takama, the teams main researcher. Takama had very long purple hair with many braids in it. She was a very tall slender woman as well, in her mid-twenties. Despite her intimating height, she was a nervous wrack most of the time. Bryna was the teams hunting horn support. Bryna was an average height woman with curly brown hair and brown. She knew know much about medication and caring for others. Trisha was the teams Heavygunner. She was a short woman with very short blond hair. And Kyrie, the teams Heavy Weapons user. Kyrie was quite a large man and heavy eater, but he was very strong man, built like a tank. His hair was black with two blue streaks on the left and a right of his head. After the all civilians were helped out from under rubble, the Star Knights gathered with each one another again.

"What just happened?" Bryna asked Takama.

"I do not know. Earthquakes have never happened here, It does not make sense," she answered slightly panicked.

"Well if its not normal, do you think it could possibly be a monster underground?" Takama asked again. 

"That is possible, but no common monster is large enough to make such a large earthquake," she answered stuttering her words. "I Gotta talk with The Researcher!" he continued as she started to rush towards the main castle.

"Takama, wait!" Leon yelled as all the Star Knights chased after her.

The group of Knights rushed towards the castle in a hurry, helping anyone across the way.

Meanwhile, in The Researchers main library, he was picking up as many books as he could after the earthquake. They were shattered everywhere and out of order, The Researcher was stressed out of him mind, he did not understand what was going on either. He was crawling on his knees picking up books, one by one, alone. Everyone else in the castle was being helped with their injured because the castle seemed to take quite a bit of damage, stones falling all around and shattered lanterns causing fires all around the castle. It was a disaster.

"By the ender dragons, what is happening?" The Researcher asked himself under his fearful breath as he gather his years of study.

Then, two other researchers, Ava and Nora rushed into the library, Ava completely out of breath. Ava was a pink haired young woman while Nora had pleasant light blue hair. They both noticed The Researcher, worrying over his many items but his safety was their main concern.

"Mr. Styles! are you hurt?" They shouted as they rushed towards him.

"My research...my research," The researcher continued to mumble to himself.

Both Ava and Nora helped the researcher to his feet and started to drag him from the library and away from his research.

"No! No!" The Researcher yelled as he was being dragged to safety.

Just as he was dragged away, large chucks of stone started to fall from the walls and crash down on the research below and burst into flames from broken lamps. 

"Lets get out of here!" Nora shouted as all three rushed away from the fire.

The Researcher did not want to leave all his life work but he had no other choice. The three researchers quickly rushed towards the nearest entrance to the outside village for that was the only safe place now. As they were running out, they bumped into Touka and the rest.

"Mr. Styles! Do you have any idea what is happening?" Takama asked him hoping for answers.

Ava and Nora paused with the Researcher so he could answer but he said nothing. All he had was a look of despair on his face. Nora and Ava the continued with him out of the castle and to safety. Takama and Bryna followed Ava and nora while Touka, Leon, Trisha, and Kyrie searched for anymore survivors in the castle that was falling apart. Touka and Leon would leaped over fallen columns, piles of stone, avoid fires to find anyone that might still be in danger. Leon was able to find several guards block behind some fallen rubble as well as some members of the castle's smithy and armory. Touka on the other hand was unable to find anyone around. The fire was growing larger by the second and Touka was in deep into the flams. She had to turn back to, it was growing to hot. She could feel the flames grazing against her skin. Just as he turned back, flaming stone and wood foundation boke from the walls and fell into her path, blocking her escape. But Touka did not believe she was trapped, she turned once again and she continued though the fires to find another escape. She was able to outrun much of the crawling flames but it was not long before the smoke and lack of air got to Touka. She was coughing and her running tuned into stumbling. Her time was running out. As she stumbled through the burning halls, she heard the faint cry for help in the sound of the roaring flames. Her sense to help empowered her and she was able to rush towards the cry. As she ran, more rubble and flames were blocking easy pathways. So she had to duck under flame piles of wood to get to the cry for help. And she found the source.

"H..help! Its my leg! I cant move!" The male cried.

Touka noticed that the young males legs was covered in an entire wall of rubble and surrounded by flames. Touka rushed to help him, pushing the pile of stones off his leg.

"Keep trying to pull it out!" Touka yelled as she coughed from the smoke.

The young  male kept trying to pull his leg from under the rubble and it was slowly inching its way out. But Touka was running out of air and was getting exhausted from the lack of it. But she was not going to give up. She pushed one last large chuck of rock from the males leg and he was able to yank it out. Touka helped the male to his feet, put his arm over her shoulder and tried to retreat the way she came but it was block off by walls of flame. With darting glances, Touka searched for another way but the smoke and lack of air made it hard to see anything. She was trapped in the roaring flames of the burning castle.

"No..No escape.." Touka was in disbelief as her legs started to fail.

The male who was with her, tried to keep her awake but it was none stop coughing for both of them. It was all smoke and the fire kept the oxygen from them.

Meanwhile, Leon was able to find and escort other from the burning castle and get them to safety, but his sister had not returned yet. Leon wanted to rushed back into the burning fires but it was too dangerous. He feared the worst, but then all of a sudden, the ground started to shake aggressively once again but this was no earthquake. Leon had to rush out of the castle before it came down even more.

Touka was curled up on the ground, coughing violently from the smoke when the ground started to shake once again. What was also strange is that the ground started to rise from under her. She knew now that this was a monster digging it way out from the ground. She could hear its diggings claws though the fire. Touka braced herself as large spikes broke though the floor and continued to rise. And before Touka and the male knew it, they were both on the backside of a large monster that was destroying everything in its path. All Touka could hear was the crashing and destruction of the castle with every step the beast took.

Leon, escorting everyone away from the danger, heard the roar from inside the castle and a burst of rubble from up above. Something large has just surfaced from the ground but he had to get everyone to safety. leon and the other Star Knights were able to get many people including Ava, Nora, and The Researcher away from the castle, but Leon knew that his sister had to still be inside the castle. leon did not want to believe his sister was dead, so with all his courage to charge back towards the castle.

"Leon, what are you doing?!" Kyrie shouted noticing his friend run towards the flames.

Just as Leon was about to enter into the fallen castle once again, a large monster of black scales and large size burst from the front entrance which caused Leon to fall to his back in surprise. The beast roared as it charged out of the castle and towards the village, its large front claws stomping, basically dragging the beast alone the ground. Ava and Nora saw this beast and were at a loss for words. As we The Researcher.

"That cant be possible...' The Researcher stared astonished, "Its Akantor.." he continued.

Ava and Nora just look at each other and back at The Researcher.

"Get everyone out of the way!" Leon shouted to his fellow Star Knights, standing back to his feet and avoiding the stomping claw of the land dragon.

Akantor did was not interested in the hunters or the Gem Kingdom. So after it figured out that it was not where it wanted to be, it start to dig underground once again. Touka and the male at this time were still on its back and were barely able to stand to their feet and slide down the backside of the beast and down its tail to get it safety. Once they did they, Touka went unconscious immediately but the male did not. He tried his best to call for help while the Akantor dug its way underground, creating a large crater, leaving the entire castle to fall in flames and turn into rubble. The male the Touka rescued kept call for assistance, waiting for someone to help.
