Freightful Friends
You laid on the cold hard ground, unable to move or speak. You felt cold and empty. The roof you were staring at was crumbling over you. Screams were heard all around.
What was this? A memory?
You heard what sounded like metal armor approach you. You looked up to see a large man holding a sword stained with blood. His eyes were filled with horror and regret. He couldn't believe what he had done.
He never meant for this to happen. Something just came over him. Something evil. Fear got the best of you, and you closed your eyes.
When you opened them, you were suddenly in the middle of a forest somewhere. You felt different. You couldn't explain it.
Van Helsing: Well, now, what is a kid like you doing out in the Black Forest?
You looked up to see the man who would become your uncle approaching you. He kneeled down and offered a kind smile.
Van Helsing: What's your name, kiddo?
You didn't answer. You thought about it, but couldn't remember. You slowly lifted your hand to see that you were holding a part of a shirt with a name written on it.
Y/N: Y/N. My name is Y/N.
Van Helsing: Y/N, huh? Well, Y/N, let's go see if we can find your family.
He held out a hand towards you. You looked at it for a moment before you took it.
You opened your eyes and found yourself staring at the roof of an unfamiliar room. You blinked before you turned your head to look at the boxes that were untouched from the day before.
That's right. You were still moving into the Dracula residence. You sat up and scratched your head. Might as well get the day started.
---------------
You yawned as you ate a bowl of cereal. Dracula was reading the morning paper while Draculaura was seemingly still asleep. That just left the two of you. Awkward silence ensured.
You looked up at the vastly older man, though he looked to be your uncle's age, and wondered what he thought about you living here. Clearly you and Draculaura were cool, but Dracula was the sworn enemy of your uncle. It was a whole thing.
Dracula: If you keep staring, your cereal will get soggy.
You flinched and lowered your head, going back to eating. Dracula finally looked at you and let out a sigh. He lowered his paper and rested his arm on the table.
Dracula: You can relax, Y/N. My issues with your uncle are not my issues with you. As far as I'm concerned, you helped save my daughter from a Monster Whisperer.
You slowly looked up.
Dracula: I agreed to let you stay here out of respect for Miss Bloodgood and as a favor I owed your uncle. You can make yourself at home here.
You smiled a bit. That was actually really reassuring. You suddenly found your phone going off and you checked it to see that it was Cupid. She had been gone for the whole Monster Whisperer situation, but she never really said why.
She had sent you a text asking if you could meet with her, to which you agreed. Maybe she had something important to talk to you about.
------------
Cupid: I'm moving.
You sat across from her with a blank stare. You both ended up at a a coffee shop at her suggestion, but you weren't really expecting this.
Y/N: What?
Cupid: My dad thinks it would be best if I was around people...who are like me. So he's making go to the school that he went to when he was my age. That's where I've been.
This was definitely news to you. And it wasn't necessarily good or bad. It was just numb.
Y/N: This is....sudden. Really sudden.
Cupid: I know. I wanted to tell you earlier, but my calls weren't going through.
Probably cause you were busy with trying to stop a dragon from taking over the school and leading an uprising against humans. It was a crazy week. But, you can talk about that later.
Y/N: So, where are you moving to?
Cupid tapped her fingers together, as if she was trying to come up with an idea.
Cupid: Uh, it's kinda far. But I can still visit sometimes! At, least, I hope so.
You frowned. She was like your best friend here. And now she was moving? Well, guess Deuce is moving up. Still, you couldn't help but feel like this was all happening so suddenly.
Just then, you had an idea.
Y/N: Hey, what about a trip to the Maul? I'll get you a parting gift.

Flapper sat in her cell bored and sore. She had recovered from your "fight" but her injuries were still aching. Maybe because your ax was laced with a slow recovering poison that you had made.
She took a breath before she heard the sounds of footsteps echoing down the hall. That wouldn't be a guard. Not now. Not for another 15 minutes or so, at least.
She looked up through the darkness only to see a familiar pair of leather boots step into the light. She couldn't see the rest of the figure, but she didn't need to. She knew who was standing there.
???: You failed.
Flapper: You don't say. Are you going to keep me in here or are you going to let me out?
The figure chuckled.
???: And why would I do that? So you can turn on me and try to raise an uprising again?
Flapper gritted her teeth. Word got out, then. She had hoped to proceed with her plan without them knowing, but of course you had to interfere.
???: I had warned you. I suppose it's good that you ignored my warning about the Van Helsing boy.
Flapper: He was helped, by monsters.
This seemed to silence the figure. They didn't like that news. A Van Helsing receiving help from Monsters? A Van Helsing saving monsters? If word got out about this revelation it would put quite a damper on their plans.
Flapper: You need me. I'm the only Monster Whisperer you have.
???: You were defeated, by a child. Besides, I have much greater allies. Ones that I can trust, unlike you.
Flapper growled but the figure simply turned.
???: I'll be sure that you stay nice and comfortable in here for a while.
The figure then walked away. Flapper gritted her teeth before she grabbed the nearby tray, fling it through the bars. She screamed out in anger, but the figure didn't stop.

Cupid: I can't take this. It's too much!
Cupid was referring to the dress that you had got for her. She kept eyeing it and you finally got her to try it on. You knew she loved it so you bought it in her size and gifted it to her as her going away gift.
After years of hunting monsters, you had more than enough saved up. Besides, it looked good on her.
Y/N: Too late. I already bought it.
Cupid was going to argue, but she stopped when you slowly began to tear the receipt. You then crumbled it up and tossed it into a passing janitor's cart. Thankfully Venus wasn't around to see you not recycling.
Y/N: Too late.
Cupid couldn't help but smile. You were always so sweet. Even if it was in weird way.
Cupid: Well, thank you. It means a lot. Really.
You just waved it off. She was your friend. And your first date. You listened to every show she did to support her
Cupid: Well, since I'll be gone, I guess I won't be able to help you with your love life.
You nearly choked on your drink at the statement. You lokked at her to see that she was smirking, pretending she didn't even say anything.
Y/N: You are truly a riot, C.A. Cupid. I hope your new classmates can handle you.
Cupid cutely shrugged. You'll miss her, but this was just a new chapter in life. For her, and for you.
---------------
You and Draculaura unpacked your boxes to finally move you into your room. It was a lot bigger than the room you had at Bloodgood's, but that also meant that it felt much emptier.
You opened a box and looked inside. You reached in and pulled out a framed photo of you and your uncle. It was during your first hunt. Some rabid werehogs were attacking a village and you had managed to revert them back instead of slaying them.
It was also the same day he adopted you. You smiled at the memory before setting the photo down on your dresser.
Draculaura: What is this?
You looked back to see Draculaura holding up your old camera. It was a gift from your uncle to document your trips. You had forgotten about it when you moved here.
Draculaura: I didn't know you filmed stuff.
You shrugged. You then had an idea. You took the camera and smiled.
Y/N: I want monsters and humans to live in peace, side by side. But I can't do that by being a hunter.
You turned the camera on and pointed it at Draculaura.
Y/N: But I can, by showing the world that it's possible. I can make a channel online. Post videos of our everyday life.
Draculaura liked the idea. You began to fidget with the camera for a moment before you nodded. The nephew of Vincent Van Helsing documenting the daily lives of monsters. It was sure to grab some attention.
Draculaura: Is it ready yet?
Y/N: Yeah yeah. Just one more second annnnd....done!
You turned on the camera and pointed it to your best friend. She waved at the camera with a smiled.
Y/N: Just, tell them who you are.
Draculaura: Okay. Well, my name is Draculaura.
Y/N: And......?
Draculaura: So I'm the daughter of Dracula.
You smiled. This new channel is sure to be a hit. Plus, it would be a good way to show the world that Monster and Humans can get along just fine.
Y/N: Nice. Now, what should the world know about you?
---~---~---
Behold C.A Cupid. Adoptive daughter of Eros, the God of love. She used to attend Monster High, but she decided to transfer after finding a letter that asked her come to Ever After High.
And so, she stepped through that magic mirror and into the courtyard of Ever After High.
Cupid: Ah. Love is in the air.
???: Where did you come from?
Cupid looked around but didn't see anyone. She then looked down to see that she had stepped onto the picnic blanket where some students were having lunch.
She quickly stepped off of it flustered. One girl seemed annoyed, another hid behind one of them, and who looked to be the youngest was just thankful she didn't step into the potato salad. It took her three days to make it.
Three days!
Cupid: Oh, I am so sorry. I didn't mean to...
She narrowed her eyes at you. She knew you from somewhere.
Cupid: Wait. Y/N?
She smiled while the only boy stood up, confused by how this random girl knew who he was.
???: Uh, yes. I'm Y/N Ozymandias. I don’t believe we've met before.
Weird. He kinda looked like you.
