Chapter Four: Tomorrow Is Another Day
Valentina got up early that morning to prep for her parents return home. "Where do they even go when they leave?" She muttered to herself as she switched out the black drapes for the dark purple drapes. Her parents always loved those ones more.
She heard the trumpts blare and Leilani rushed downstairs. "Is that them?" She asked, and Valentina nodded.
"It is, should I go get Naveah or wait?" She asked, and Leilani seemed to think it over in her head for a minute before replying.
"Probably now, you know she likes to run off and explore in the afternoons." Leilani said rolling her eyes. Valentina went to her room and Naveah was brushing her silkly blonde hair.
"What was that?" She asked, and Valentina chuckled.
"It's the royal trumpts announcing my parents arrival. Speaking of come meet them." Valentina said, and Naveah looked a bit nervous.
"Meet the king and queen of this realm? Are you sure? I mean I don't know how to dress or act..." Naveah said and Valentina hugged her.
"It's alright I promise you this, they don't care. They hardly pay attention to me as it is." She said, and Naveah hugged her back tightly.
"I'm sorry, you don't deserve that." She said, and Valentina gently pushed her off.
"It's fine I'm used to it." Valentina said as she walked towards the door pulling Naveah along.
"You shouldn't be, you deserve people who care about you. I'd imagine if more people did you wouldn't feel the need to make threats to keep people around." Naveah said and Valentina stopped and looked at her.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Valentina replied mildly offended.
"It means that one you feel the need to threaten me so I'll stay even though we had a great thing going and that was entirely unnecessary. Two you want your parents to actually pay attention to you, so you need me to marry you so they will. Did I miss anything?" Naveah said seeming to challenge Valentina in an indirect way.
"Yeah you missed the part where you should shut up. Now come on." Valentina said ending the conversation and yanked Naveah into the main hall where her parents where about to enter.
Naveah and Valentina stood at the edge of a dark purple rug next to Leilani as the King and Queen walked in. They stopped at the three of them and surveyed Naveah. "Who's this?" The Queen asked and Valentina spoke up.
"My girlfriend Naveah from the other realm." Valentina said, and they looked at each other then back to the three girls.
"Lovely to meet you please enjoy the realm." The King said, and then the two of them continued their walk.
"That was it?" Naveah asked and Valentina shrugged.
"Meet my parents, they don't give a fuck about anything." Valentina replied, and looked at Leilani. "When's dinner?"
"8pm, don't be late that is something they do care about." Leilani said then walked away.
"So Naveah do you-?" Valentina turned to say something but she was gone. "She's sneakier than a god damn cat."

Naveah was on a mission to find out what to do about Valentina. She needed to talk to Cosmo again he seemed to know what he was doing. She liked how friendly he was despite being bullied his entire life.
She came into the antique shop and looked around until she found him dusting some shelves. "Hey Cosmo!" She said, and he jumped.
"Oh hey, thought for sure I'd never see you again." He said chuckling.
"Yeah, my girlfriend can be a bitch, just ignore her. I was wondering if you could help me with that problem though." Naveah said, and Cosmo scratched the back of his neck.
"Well I suppose I could try. What do you want to do?" He asked, and Naveah sighed.
"I need help trapping her in the orb, it says she'll be released when her heart becomes true, essentially when she learns to love." She said, and Cosmo nodded.
"Alright, let's talk strategy I mean she's a Princess." He said chuckling.
"Soon to be Queen, I think I have an idea to trap her before she's crowned." Naveah said, and Cosmo nodded.
"Let's do it."
