Sam: Man, this place really never changes.

Robbie: So this is Xander. It's, clean.

Team Xander walked down the street toward the main tower as they gained a few odd looks from the passerbys.

Gwendolyn: Geez. They act like they've never seen someone in tight pink and white short shorts before.

Tandy: I doubt they have.

They reached the main tower where the guards blocked the door.

Guard: State your name.

Sam: Samuel Alexander. Nova Corp Officer.

Guard: And the others?

Sam: Friends.

The guards looked at each other before they relented and allowed the team to pass. Sam guided them through the building before they entered the elevator.

Sam: All the information should be in the central system. We shouldn't run into any problems.

Gwendolyn: Aw. I wanted to do some kick ass space fighting.

Robbie: We aren't even in space anymore. Xander is an earth like planet.

Gwendolyn: But still! I didn't even see any alien looking aliens. Just human looking ones.

Tandy: Really? I saw a hippo looking one back in the lobby.

Gwendolyn: Come on!

The elevator finay stopped on the 32nd floor where Sam lead them to a room down the hall. In the middle was a large tower of sorts which was covered in blue light and several screens. Sam started to enter his information into the computer as the others looked around. Tandy looked at the several computers as she wondered what kind of things the Nova Corps had in their databases.

Robbie: So we're just checking out to see if they have any info on the Stones? Wouldn't they know that three of them are on Earth?

Sam: Yeah. Y/N told me to tell them about them in case something happened. They have the three Stones that we know about on file.

Gwendolyn: Neat. So they're on our side?

Sam: The Nova Corps doesn't really take sides. They prefer to stay neutral in a lot of cases. If there's a problem, they won't be helping us unless it involves the Nova planets.

Tandy: So, an intergalactic police force won't help us in stopping a person who wants to kill half of all life in the universe?

Sam: I doubt they even know Thanos is on the move.

There was a beep and Sam recoiled a bit.

Sam: I think I found something.

Everyone gathered around and peeked over Sam's shoulder to look at the screen.

Robbie: What language is this?

Sam: The Corps has their own language in order to prevent outside forces from intercepting info.

Gwendolyn: Then, translate it.

Sam: It's about the Power Stone. It looks like they know where it is.

Tandy: And where is it?

Sam read a bit more before gaining a confused face.

Sam: That can't be right.

Robbie: What does it say?

Sam: It says, that the Corps have it. It's here on Xander.

Tandy: What?! Wouldn't they have told you.

???: On any other occasion, we would have.

The four turned around at the new voice to find a woman standing there with a group of Nova Officers at the ready.

Robbie: Uh, Sam?

Sam: Guys, this is Adora. The Queen of Xander and head of the Nova Corps.

Gwendolyn: Do we bow? I feel like we should bow.

Adora: Who are these people Samuel?

Sam: Your highness, these are my friends. Members of the Avengers.

Robbie: Hey.

Adora: And what brings them here?

Tandy: We're looking for the Infinity Stones. Thanos is on the move so we wanted to make sure they were safe. The system says you guys have the Power Stone.

Adora: Indeed we do. We have found it on board a pirate ship we had intercepted. It is locked away in Xander's vaults.

Sam: Why didn't anyone tell me?

Adora: I was not aware that you needed to know.

Gwendolyn: Well, he did tell you guys about the other three on Earth. Seems like something you should mention.

Adora: Why is the pink one telling me what I should do?

Sam: Ignore her.

Gwendolyn: Everyone else does.

Sam: But Thanos is on the move. Is the Stone safe here?

Adora: You question the Corps?

Sam: Uh...

Sam looked to his friends for help but they couldn't think of anything.

Adora: I am actually glad you are here, Samuel. I wanted to talk about your recent absence from the Corps.

Sam: I was busy with Avenger business. I already reporte...

Adora: These Avengers are not your first priority. You are a Nova Corps Officer. The last of the Black Novas. Your duties are here.

Tandy quietly summoned a dagger behind her back in case things escalated while Gwendolyn kept her gun at the ready.

Sam: I told you that Earth was my priority when I joined. Why is this a problem now?

Adora: Because you were a child back then. You are now a man and it is time you started acting like one. You have a choice to make. You can stay here and fulfill your duties as the Black Nova, or you can give me your helmet and return to Earth.

Robbie clenched his fists. What kind of choice was that? Sam gritted his teeth before he smirked.

Sam: There is a third option.

Adora: And what would that be?

Sam: We leave, me with my helmet, and we leave the Stone for you guys to protect.

Adora: I'm afraid I cannot let you do that.

Sam: Your choice.

He lifted his arm and fired off a blast which hit the wall above the door which caused the distraction they needed. Robbie transformed as Gwendolyn blew a hole into the side of the building.

Robbie: Everyone jump!

Sam flew through the hole as the other three leaped out of the hole. They ended up in free fall before they spotted the familar black flaming car driving up the wall. Tandy and Robbie jumped in while Gwendolyn grabbed onto the top of the car. Robbie drove the car back down the building as Nova Officers flew after them.

Robbie: We need to shake them!

Tandy: Got it!

Tandy leaned out the window and threw several daggers while Gwendolyn opened fire with her machine guns. Sam flew alongside the car and fired off some blasts to help with the chasing officers. Robbie made it to the street below as they made their escape.

Tandy: I'm guessing the Corps won't be helping us after this.

Sam: I doubt it.

Nova Officer: Stop your vehicle.

Robbie: Suck a dick!

Gwendolyn: Yeah! Eat a grenade!

She pulled the pin and threw it over to the small army which blew some away.

Tandy: Where did you get that?!

Gwendolyn: The same place I got this rocket launcher.

Tandy: WHAT?!

Gwendolyn laughed as she aimed the RPG at the incoming officers. She fired it off and many of the officers moved out of the way as it exploded.

Sam: Ok. Time to go.

Robbie: Do your queen thing, Tandy!

Tandy: Heimdall!

The car and Sam were suddenly surrounded by a bright light before they vanished from the planet. Sam flew into the car with Gwendolyn as Robbie drove through the Bifrost.

Tandy: So much for an easy mission.

Robbie: Is it ever?

Gwendolyn: With the Avengers? No way!

Sam: Oh man.

Robbie just laughed as he turned on the radio.
