Riri yawned as she approached the seemingly abandoned building. This was the Sanctum Sanctorum. Home of Dr. Stephen Strange aka the Sorcerer Supreme.

Miles: I've never seen it from the outside before. I always swing past here.

Felicia: Must be a cloaking mechanism of some kind.

Nadia: Like a spell?

Danny: A good one. The Doctor has many enemies. This hides both the building and the magic power within. I believe this would be the second time many of us have entered.

Gwen: Is this about that time you guys fought that weird enchantress chick?

Danny: Yes. Y/N had summoned some of us to help him as well as freed me and some others.

Miles: Were were trapped in the Mindscape. A crazy place where we lived in our versions of a perfect world.

Riri: I recalled Sam suddenly flying out that night.

Nadia: Y/N said that he was robbing department stores.

Riri decided not to question it as she stepped forward. The team ended up getting past the magical barrier and the building changed into a much cleaner and more upkept building.

Miles: He must be inside.

They approached the door where Felicia knocked. There wasn't a response.

Gwen: Uh, maybe he's not home?

Danny: Regardless, he would know if someone was at the Sanctorum. Something isn't right.

Nadia: Of course it isn't.

Nadia shrunk down and flew through the keyhole. After some time, the door was unlocked and the others entered. Nadia grew back to her normal size as they looked at the inside of the building.

Miles: Uh, yeah. Something ain't right.

The room was a complete mess. It was as if someone had came through and ransacked the place.

Danny: Stay alert. Anyone who can attack the Sanctorum is a serious threat.

Riri: Then, where is Strange?

???: He is, preoccupied.

The group looked uo the stairs and found an unknown figure.

Felica: Who are you?!

???: Where are my manners? My name is, Baron Karl Amadeus Mordo.

Mordo: And I believe you have overstayed your welcome!

Surrounded by yellow magical energy, Mordo released a ball of fire towards the group. Everyone scattered as Mordo raised his arms up with a magic circle appearing on the ground.

Mordo: You want to find the Doctor?! Then allow me to show you where he is!

Everyone covered their eyes as a blinding white light engulfed the room. When they could see again, they found themselves in a unfamiliar place.

Gwen: Uh, I'm starting to think I'm way out of my element here.

Miles: Magic isn't my thing either. Where are we?

Danny and Riri looked around for a moment before Nadia suddenly grabbed her head.

Felicia: Are you ok?!

She caught her wife before she could fall which made everyone worried.

Danny: It must be this place. Nadia is a normal human with nothing to protect her.

Riri: I'm ok because my suit, but what about Felicia?

Miles: Is it because she has two personalities?

Danny: That's the only thing I can think of.

Felicia helped Nadia sit up as she grabbed her head. It was like some terrible headache that just refused to go away.

Gwen: So, where are we?

Danny: It must be a dark realm if somekind. This magic, is evil.

Riri activated the light on her helmet but even with the light, she couldn't see more than four feet in front of her. Danny suggested they stay close to each other.

Danny: Everyone get a partner. That way, if we get separated, we still have someone with us.

Felicia: I'll stay with Nadia.

Miles: Me and Riri can walk ahead.

Danny: Very well. Me and Gwen will stay in the back.

With the partners assigned, the group headed out to explore their new surroundings. That Mordo guy said that Strange was here somewhere. Wherever here was. Danny was already suspicious on what was going on while Riri was more concerned about Strange and the Stone.

Suddenly, a gust of powerful wind blew out of nowhere which caused the dark fog to block everyone's view. Everyone grabbed their partner as the wind started to calm down.

Riri: Is everyone ok?

Miles: I'm fine.

Riri: Everyone else?

No response. She turned around and saw that they were alone.

Miles: Well, that can't be good.

Danny looked around as he realized that no one else was with them.

Danny: Damn.

Gwen: Where did they go?

Danny: I don't know. We should keep going though.

Danny stepped forward but stopped when Gwen suddenly grabbed his hand.

Gwen: Can I hold onto you? I'm normally ok with weird things but, my senses are going crazy.

Danny just nodded and Gwen held onto his arm. Danny contiued to walk through the dark world.

Felicia: You ok?

Nadia: Yeah. Just this, stupid headache. Where is everyone?

Felicia allowed Cat to take over since she was more comfortable with scary situations than her.

Cat: No idea. Come on, we should keep going. We'll find answers eventually.

Nadia nodded and shrunk down to rest on Cat's shoulder. Cat moved forward with no other choice.

Riri looked around some more and even tried to use her thermal vision and x-ray. It didn't work. All she could see was fog and Miles.

Miles: What do you think this is?

Riri: I have no idea. Whatever this is, we need to find Strange and the others.

Miles: Right. Keep my head in the game.

Aaron: Looks like you got it down now.

The two stopped at the voice and turned around to find themselves in an apartment where Aaron was sitting on his couch. His face was obscured by the shadow and the only light was a lamp on the counter.

Miles: Uncle Aaron?

Riri: What the hell?

Aaron: You've grown. How long has it been? 10 years?

Miles: What are you doing here? How are you...

Aaron: You're still a hero. Even after all the lives you couldn't save.

Miles: What?

Riri: Miles?

Aaron: You call yourself a hero? You couldn't even save me. How the hell are you a hero?

Miles: N-No. I-I tried. I couldn't...

Aaron: Oh, believe me.

He then leaned forward so that his face was now visible. His skin was decaying and his teeth sharp. In the middle of his forehead, was a bullet hole.

Aaron: I know.

Miles was frozen in fear and Riri immediately tried to snap him out of it. Aaron let out a loud screch before he leaped up from the couch and pounced on Miles. Riri was pushed aside. When she stood back up, she wasn't wearing her armor. She looked around and suddenly found herself surrounded by destruction and flames. This was the Avengers HQ.

Riri: What the hell?

She stepped forward but something grabbed her ankle. She jumped back in surprise as she looked down. It was Katie.

Riri: Katie?

Katie: H-He won.

Riri: Wha, who? Who won?

Katie tried to speak but could only split out blood before she died right then and there. Riri looked around and realized what was happening. Her team, her friends, her family, they were all dead. Their bodies bloody and mutilated as they were sprayed out all among the destruction. Her eyes landed on Quentin, or what was left. His helmet was destroyed and she could only see blood inside. His body was torn in two and his guts painted the ground below him.

Riri grabbed her head as she began to shake. She dropped to her knees as tears filled her eyes and she began to mumble to herself.

Riri: This isn't real. This isn't real. This isn't real.

Danny stopped as he heard something. He looked around as Gwen clenched on his arm.

Gwen: What's wrong?

Danny: I don't know. This place, it is just, evil.

Gwen: I kinda gathered by all the black and the fog.

Danny narrowed his eyes as he looked around. He continued forward before he heard a low growl.

Gwen: Uh, what was that?

Danny: It can't be.

The growl grew louder as they spotted something moving among the fog. The dark figure began to rise above the two as dark red eyes came into view.

Danny: N-No. Impossible.

The fog began to clear and Gwen looked around at the sudden change in scenery. It looked like a cave of somekind but what really caught her eye, was what was in front of them.

Danny: Shou-Lao.

Gwen: The dragon? I thought you killed it.

Danny: I-I did. He shouldn't be here.

Shou-Lao: Daniel Rend. The user of the Iron Fist.

Gwen: Oh. He recognizes you.

Shou-Lao: You are unworthy of my power.

Danny began to shake which Gwen noticed immediately.

Gwen: Danny?

Shou-Lao: You are weak. The family you have created will die because of your weakness. You will fail.

Danny: N-No. I, I defeated you!

Gwen: Danny...

Shou-Lao: Your anger will be your downfall!

Danny yelled as he pulled away from Gwen and rushed forward with his fist glowing.

Danny: AHHHHHH!

As he got closer, Shou-Lao opened his mouth and blew out a wall of fire which blocked Gwen's view. When she could see again, she was back in the black space, alone.

Gwen: Danny? Danny?!

She looked around scared as she found herself on her own.

Cat: How long have we been walking for?

Nadia: I have no idea. It feels like a while though.

Cat had Nadia's arm around her shoulder as the headache grew worse. Nadia still had her helmet on in an attempt to fight off the fog but it didn't seem to help.

Cat: This place is oddly warm, don't you think?

Nadia just nodded. She reached up for her head again before they heard footsteps. The two women looked around confused.

Cat: Hello?

???: Hello?

Nadia: That wasn't an echo.

There was a giggle in the dark before the tiny footsteps got closer. Suddenly, Elise appeared.

Nadia: Elise? What are you doing here?

Elise: Hi mommy.

Cat lowered Nadia so that she could talk to her daughter. Nadia was confused but quickly grew worried when she saw the blood on the white dress Elise was wearing.

Nadia: What happened?

Nadia started to try and look at the blood stain but Elise suddenly collapsed into her arms.

Cat: Elise?!

She kneeled down as Elise began to cough. Nadia pulled her back enough to see her sick face which now had blood dripping from her nose and mouth.

Nadia: Baby?

Elise: Mommy, I don't feel good.

She coughed again as Nadia began to panic. She frantically tried to think of something to do as Cat watched in horror. Nadia felt the tears in her eyes as she brushed her daughter's hair.

Nadia: It's ok. It's ok. Everything is going to be ok baby.

Elise: M-Mommy.

Cat: No. Nononono. What the fuck?

Gwen contiued on, now alone and confused, as she tried to look around.

Gwen: Hello? Danny? Cat? Anyone?

???: Interesting. You are unaffected.

Gwen froze up in fear as she looked sround for the source of the voice.

Gwen: Uh, hello?

???: You are an interesting one. I cannot find your fears.

Gwen: My fears?

???: Are you not afraid?

Gwen: I'm pretty damn terrified.

???: Yet I cannot manifest your fear.

Gwen was confused. The fog cleared and she suddenly found the one who was talking.

Gwen: Who are you?

???: I have many names. You may call me, Nightmare.

Gwen just looked at him for a moment before laughing. Nightmare was confused.

Nightmare: Do you find this, funny?

Gwen: What kind of stupid name is Nightmare? And that haircut? Come on dude!

Nightmare: I, am very confused. Are you not scared of me?

Gwen: Are you kidding?! Who would be scared of you? The only scary thing here is that outfit.

Nightmare looked at his clothing.

Nightmare: I, I don't understand.

Gwen just kept laughing before she noticed a familiar face nearby. It was the Doctor.

Nightmare: How is this even happening? Your team fell under my spell. They're facing their fears right now. How are you ok?

Gwen: I dunno. Honestly, it might be because my senses. Like I said. I dunno.

Nightmare: How are you so calm right now?!

Gwen: Well, I was scared when I was in that weird fog thing but, now that I've seen you, this is kinda just, whatever.

Nightmare: WHATEVER?! HOW DARE YOU?!

Gwen: Woah, dude. Chill out.

Nightmare: CHILL? I AM CHILL! I'M THE KING OF CHILL!

Gwen: Hmmmmmm. Ok.

Gwen shot out two webs and pulled herself right to Nightmare who was caught off guard. Gwen's feet collided with his face which broke the chair he was sitting on. Suddenly, she was back in the real world with everyone else.

Miles: W-What?

Danny: What just, happened?

Doctor Strange slowly stood up while grabbing his head.

Strange: That was the Nightmare Realm. How did we escape?

Gwen: I kicked that weird elf dude in the face.

Strange looked at her like she was a mad man.

Strange: You, kicked, Nightmare, in the face?

Gwen: Yeeeeeep.

Strange: You kids scare me every time we meet.

Everyone slowly got up, clearly shaken at the events that had just occurred.

Mordo: How is this possible?

Everyone turned back to the evil sorcerer who was surprised.

Strange: Mordo. I should have known. You will pay....

Danny: No. We got this one.

Mordo watched as the younger heroes all turned to him with hate-filled eyes. Gwen turned to Strange and rubbed the back of her neck.

Gwen: Uh, maybe we should look away.

Strange: Y-Yes. I agree. Shall I get you some tea?

Gwen: Sure.

The two left as the heroes all charged at Mordo. Even from the other room, the two could hear Mordo's pleas for mercy. None was given.
