The first time I fought Tobi was like a struggle between swinging my giant sword and trying to dodge constant electric attacks - with little luck since I didn't know the moves... But dunking on top of it from a high tree when it's sleeping is well worth it!

( Reader P.o.V )

Astera

I sat at the canteen smelling the delicious-looking piece of meat and drolling. My Felyne friend Trix had a huge fish in front of it and we started to dig in at the same time. I finished hunting an Anjanath not too long ago and now was resting. A female Handler two tables away was getting very excited about the idea of exploring while her Hunter looked like he wanted nothing more than to just lie down and finally rest...

Suddenly another plate slammed down on the opposite side of mine and I looked up to see my Handler, Adun. Tall, dark blue eyes, brownish-red hair and short beard with moustache. He was wearing a leather armor set with signature googles that allow to zoom in and had his pet, Pilot Hare, on his shoulders.

Adun : Enjoying your meal?

(Y/N) : Sure am, what's up?

Adun : We have a... weird quest.

I looked up from my half-finished meal and just managed to catch my Palico trying to steal a fragment of my meat. I raised an eyebrow while he picked up some fruit and gave to his pet.

(Y/N) : What do you mean weird?

Adun : Well, while the golden pair over there *Points at female Handler and her Hunter* will be busy with going after Zorah Magdaros we'll be securing the area around Astera.

(Y/N) : That's what we've been doing the whole time being here...

Adun : But we also got a special investigation. One of the researchers want us to get a "weird" monster.

I finished eating and he opened the large book he carries around before sliding it towards me across the table. I picked it up and saw that it's suppose to be Tobi-Kadachi but the monster picture in it was far more human than anything we've met so far. I read the assignment with the 'CAPTURE' written at least up to three times in diffrent places across the page.

I looked at my Handler and he simply shrugged while picking up a piece of fruit and giving it to the Hare on his shoulder. I sigh but the worst thing come about I'll come back with my hair standing up and probably smoking from the excessive electricity.

(Y/N) : Fine, tell the researchers I'm on it. I'll have to get traps and bombs...

Adun : Great! See you in the camp!

(Y/N) : Actually... How does Handlers get to camps faster than we do? I mean we're flying off on wyverns...

Adun : Trade secret. You shouldn't dwell on it too much.

I stare at him as he left a few pieces of fruit for his pet while eating the rest of his meal. I shrugged and went to sign up for the quest. Normally most Hunters work in groups but for something as simple as Tobi-Kadachi I should be able to do it solo no problem.

I posted the quest on the board and called Trix. The little Felyne finished eating the fish and quickly ran towards me before leaping on my back as I whistled calling for a wyvern before use my grappling hook to latch on it's clawed foot and fly off towards the Ancient Forest.

I looked over at the large forest spreading outside of Astera's gate... Ah, I've been doing this for quite a while but the sight from air is still breathtaking. I dropped in the camp far up north, the second we've had set up after the golden pair took out a Kulu-Ya-Ku.

Adun : Hey, partner. You ready?

(Y/N) : The best I can against the lizard-squirrel.

Adun : Researchers mentioned that this monster is pretty small... I'm not sure about the actual size but you should keep an out for traces, it may not leave a huge footprint.

(Y/N) : Nothing Scoutflies can't handle.

Adun : Good hunting! And remember capture at all cost!

He called out after me but I was already sliding down the trail and splashed in the water at the bottom. I corrected my greatsword and and stretched before starting to look around. Soon I found some small tracks that would fit a miniature Tobi-Kadachi and some white fur. Despite a few in close area Scoutflies had a problem getting the right trail...

I inspected the nearest area getting some more tracks and finally I had a decent enough tracks to find my target. Scoutflies swarmed before rushing off. I turned on my heel and quickly followed the bright trail leading to my hunt. Soon I reached a high place with large bird-like nest. I walked over to the edge and looked down seeing something moving below.

I concentrated on the shape that was constantly zooming around in a blur of white and blue between trees. Soon it settled in one spot and my jaw dropped at the view of the beautiful woman below that could easily go for being a human somehow mutated into Tobi-Kadachi. I was busy gawking at the woman until Trix hit my leg.

(Y/N) : Ah, yeah... I forgot myself for a second there.

I took a run up before jumping over the edge and drawn my blade mid-air ready to slam it on top of her. I had the element of surprise but she still managed to dodge the attack befor ejumping onto a tree and bouncing straight for my face. I just barely managed to lift my sword and use it as a shield.

She seemed to get angry at my reaction as her hair suddenly stood up and I didn't even managed to do anything about the tail smack that sent me tumbling down. She tried to slash at me but Trix also jumped down and hit her across the head. She quickly noted the odds are against her and she climbed up the tree and looked down at us.

Trix : Nya! ( Meowster we have to get her down somehow! )

I looked between her and my Palico... I just got a bright idea.

Trix : N-Nya? ( M-Meowster? )

I put the sword back on my back before picking up my Palico trying out the weight causing my Felyne companion to panick slightly. I looked at the Tobi-Kadachi, pulled my arm back... And used all of my strenght to throw Trix right at the target looking at me in surprise.

Trix : NYA! ( MEOWSTER! )

Thankfully my Palico seem to catch up quite quickly as the next moment they colided and my Felyne companion grabbed onto Tobi, pulling her with the strenght of my throw. They both fell down from the tree - and as is told - Trix landed perfectly while the monster...

Tobi-Kadachi : Uww...

She slammed face-first into half the branches that were on the way and the into a solid rock ground beneath... Ouch. I walked over and poked her with my leg. She was slowly getting back to herself but still mostly out.

Trix : Nya... NYA NYA NYA! ( Meowster... YOU BETTER WARN ME NEXT TIME! )

(Y/N) : Sorry, had to take the shot while she still didn't catch up to my plan.

Trix : Nya! Nya. ( I forgive you! For a pile of fishes. )

(Y/N) : Deal.

I walked over to Tobi-Kadachi and grabbed her tail to pull her back to camp. It was rather uncomfortable especially when she slowly got back to herself and grabbed onto many various things before suddenly climbing onto my back, using my sword handle as a way to hold herself and the long claws on her other hand were gripping my armor...

(Y/N) : So... We gotta name her somehow.

Trix : Nya? ( Really Meowster? )

(Y/N) : Yeah, she needs to have a name so that researchers won't give me tongue wrecking every time they'll speak about her. Just think about it. 'Tobi-Kadachi this' or 'Tobi-Kadachi that'...

Trix : Nya... Nya? ( Something simple and easy to remember... Spark? )

(Y/N) : Sounds good to me. What do you say, eh?

She simply was still getting back to herself. She snuggled her head deeper into the nook of my neck, her long mane tickling me.

(Y/N) : *Chuckles* Let's agree to agree.

In just a little bit later we were at the camp where Adun was wearing a puffy white captain hat and used a sharp knife and mirror to nicely shape his beard. He looked up at me and then at the monster hanging off of me.

(Y/N) : Here we are. One knocked out Tobi-Kadachi-morph as requested... But I'd really hang around 'knocked out' phase since I have no idea when she's gonna be up.

Adun : Well, put her in the tent for now and make sure she won't be causing any trouble or run away. I'm gonna get some support with transport.

He called a wyvern and used his grappling hook on it. Quickly disappearing between the thick foliage of the Ancient Forest.

I walked to the tent and bind her legs and arms with a solid piece of rope. She shouldn't be able to use her claws to cut it but just in case if she wanted to use her powers I have three tranq bombs just in hand's reach. Soon she sompletely stirred awake and looked at me before letting out a series of growls, purrs and screeches.

(Y/N) : Trix! You said that those Grimalkynes teach you monster's language. Do you speak Tobi-Kadachis?

Trix : Nya! ( I learned yesterday! )

(Y/N) : Translate.

Trix got in front of Spark and as she continue making her sounds the sitting in the tent seemed to be more and more annoying. It's like a dinner with family but since you're the youngest no pays any attention or effort to add you into the conversation...

Trix : Nya nya... Nya? Nya! Nya. ( She says that since you're a male stronger than her she is accepting her role as your partner... Bearer? Lover! Still got some practice to do. )

(Y/N) : A what now?

Trix : Nya. Nya nya. Nya... ( It's simple Meowster. A strong partner is worth reproducing with. She says that she's also lonely since other monsters - even her own kind - don't like her... )

(Y/N) : And she won't try to run away the moment I cut the bindes?

Trix : Nya. ( Not like there is any real reason for her to go back. )

I released Spark and explained - along with her name - that she is now part of Expedition and the researchers will have to study her and she don't have to worry since they won't hurt her. She crawled over to me and sat on my laps before nuzzling into my chest and making some purring sounds.

Trix : Nya. ( Invitation. )

(Y/N) : To wha- Oh. Can we have privacy?

Trix left the tent and I saw Spark looking at me with curiosity. She poked my armor and tried to take it off so I helped her a bit... Afterwards the tent was filled with growls, purrs and a lot of sparks - not only because she's electric fanged wyvern.

After we were done Adun came with two of Expedition's people prearing a special box in which we can transport Spark without anyone getting an x-ray from all those volts.

As I walked past Adun he quickly covered his mouth with his fist and held back from laughing. He's barely able to stiffle the laugh rising inside him.

(Y/N) : What?

Adun : Oh, no nothing...

I raised an eyebrow but continue walking. Unknown to me my pants had tears on the height of butt after Spark got too excited about being able to take my clothes off...

Adun : Kinky.

Astera

Month Later

I returned from another hunt, this time getting a normal Anjanath back. Was it normal? Yes. Was it easy? Not at all. I still feel the heat of that scary blast when he got angry...

For bringing the strange Tobi-Kadachi I got new quarters! Bigger, better and easier to fit said monster. Spark was lying on a large bed. There on her tail close to her chest I saw a baby she was craddling. The baby is sleeping but she looked up at me...

Suddenly I smelled something burnt... I looked at the large pot where I had a beautiful (F/C) flower that could glow at night. Now all there is a pile of ash...

Housekeeper : Nya! Nya nya! ( Oh Meowster! The young one seem to finally develop and understand her abilities! )

(Y/N) : But did she really have to test them out inside?

I sent a glance towards Spark and saw her lifting her head innocently while looking at the ceiling. I can feel the smug aura off of her. I'm sure that if she could whistle she would to make her look even less suspicious.

I groaned and went to the wardrobe, putting my armor upon one of many mannekins and returning in my underwear. I groaned tired and dropped onto the bed next to Spark. She change her position to that more of a human. Bring the baby up to her chest and snuggling her back into my stomache so I can spoon her...

Despite being a lizard-squirrel-wyvern-electric monster she's still sucker for attention and cuddles. I then felt a small smark causing my leg to tense and her form shook slightly... She's also a big fan of teasing me with her electricity. She turned her head towards me and I looked into her bright red eyes...

Predatory eyes...

She 'leaped' forward and close the distance between our lips. She put her clawed hand on my chest and looked up at me. She seemed to struggle until the words left her mouth.

Spark : L-Love.

(Y/N) : I love you too...

I responded getting a purring response as she coiled her long tail around both of us like a blanket...
