Chapter Four:
Delicate

I ended up staying up all night once again and waited until the sun rise to leave my office. I went to (Y/N)'s room with a candle in my hand to check in her. I reached on the door knob the door pushed in. Weird, it was unlocked. Did she escape?! I walked in and used the dim light of the candle to see where I was walking. I looked on the bed and was relieved when I saw the (H/C) strands of hair peaking out from under the blankets. I pulled them down to reveal her face. She looked so peaceful. Most likely because she's able to sleep somewhere comfortable for once. However, I realized she had stains from tears on her face. I felt slight guilt inside. I didn't know what her life was like when I took her. She might have had friends or someone she left behind. I felt horrible on the inside knowing I took her from that. But it was for the best, the leaf was looking for her and if they found her before I did she'd be dead.

I turned away but was startled when I felt her grab my arm. I nearly dropped my candle! I turnt around and saw her eyes were still closed.

"I miss you Itachi." She mumbled in her sleep

The corners of my mouth lowered. Itachi Uchiha obviously meant so much to her before he died. Of course he did, he was her first love. She let go of my arm and turned her back to me. I got on the bed, my body hovering over her. I used the sleeve of my shirt to whip her face before I left.

Temari and Kankuro woke up not long after me. We ate breakfast and chatted for awhile. I looked at the clock and saw it was twelve in the afternoon. (Y/N) still hasn't woken up.

'She must be tired.'

"Gaara it's very late, you should wake her. I already have clothes ready for her but she needs a shower and breakfast." Temari said

"Alright." I exited the dinning area and walked down the hallway to her room. I entered the room and put a hand on (Y/N), lightly shaking her. "Hey, it's very late, I know you're tired but you need a shower."

"Mmph!" She groaned, turning the other way

My face straightened, I'd have to get her out of bed the hard way. My sand tore the sheets off of her and lifted her off of the bed, forcing her to stand up in front of me.

"That's the longest I've ever slept. I also had a weird dream that you had no eyebrows... Oh wait.." She stated randomly, rubbing her eyes while staring at me. I crossed my arms and squinted my eyes to show I meant business. She straightened up and smiled nervously at me, rubbing her arm. For an older person, she sure was immature.

"Take a shower." I stated

"On it!" She said, speed walking out of the room "How scary!" I heard her exclaim to herself outside of the door. I shook my head with a slight smile upon my lips.

"Gaara where is the bathroom?" I heard her call down the hall not even a minute later

'Did this idiot really kill most of the Uchiha clan?' I internally face palmed and shook my head, she was beautiful but also had a goofy personality. Usually people like this get on my nerves but for whatever reason, I didn't mind.

"Here, I'll show you."

After she took a shower, (Y/N) was still very exhausted and begged me to allow her to sleep for a little longer. I agreed to as long as I supervised her just to make sure she didn't try any funny business. I still didn't know how the door unlocked. I don't think she did it though, she would have been gone if she decided to escape. (Y/N) laid down on the bed and stretched before curling up into a fetal position. I put the covers over her and sat on a chair I put in the room next to the bed.

"Hey Gaara I'm really cold..." (Y/N) said "These sleep clothes Temari gave me are very thin."

"I'm sorry I don't have anymore blankets,
(Y/N)." I replied, closing my eyes

"Then could you...warm me up?" She asked

"What?" I cocked my head to the side

"You know...."

"I don't know."

"I'm asking you to hold me." She replied, my eyes widened from how bold she was being

"Alright." I said, getting into the bed

I lied down next to her, putting my arms around her in an embrace. She snuggled up closer to me and put her head on my chest. I'm sure she heard my heart beating quickly. I've never been in a situation like this before. I have never held a woman in my life. I looked down at her and saw her eyes were closed. I bit my lip, I really didn't know what to do. Was I going to lay here for awhile? I couldn't exactly take a nap with her...

She put her hand on my cheek, eyes still closed, "You should try getting some sleep as well, lover boy." She referred to the symbol on my head. I internally chuckled.

"I have insomnia remember?" I replied, touching her hand. It was a lot smaller than mine, it was so soft and delicate.

"Oh I'm sorry I have a bad memory." She said with a yawn "That must suck not being able to fall asleep or have dreams."

"Tell me about it." I said, she snorted

"Hey, team seven is coming to visit in a couple of months. If you're not aware of who they are, Sasuke Uchiha is on the team."

She immediately sat up, "Oh yeah I need to work this out with him hopefully."

"Yes, I'm going to let you know now he will not be happy to see you. The plan is for Naruto to hold him down while Kankuro will put a collar on him. After that I hope you'll explain everything to him. Everything." I say

"Okay... I'm going to actually sleep now." (Y/N) said, placing her head back down on my chest. I sighed and laid my head onto a pillow. My face was burning along with my ears. I didn't understand why but I feeling really weird, I didn't understand it.

What is happening to me?
