Emilia

Fingers cannot count how many times I've woken up in an unknown place, kidnapped. It's like a weekly routine for me to y'know visit weird places without meaning so.

It's like kidnappers think, "Hmmm, I want to kidnap someone today. But who?" And then another says, "Well, there's this crazy bitch named Emilia Gilbert and her life is miserable, and I suggest we make it worse."

I believe this is the conversation they have before they kidnap me. But this time, it's different. First, I've never been kidnapped as a werecoyote. Second, I was chained up.

Yes, chained up.

Last time I checked today wasn't the full moon yet I was chained up. By who? That's a mystery to me. But whoever this mystery is, is going to die.

Oh, and here's the best part. I was chained upside down. Like to the point where my dress reached my waist and the tight black shorts that I wore under the dress were shown.

The ankles and wrists ached from the metal chains around them. Every ounce of blood was gathered in my brain which left my whole body numb.

I felt the vein in my forehead throb from all the blood pressure. My face was probably red with a blur vein pounding in my forehead.

I'm honestly surprised I'm still alive right now. If only I was human.

I stared deeply into the metal door in front of me, hoping I could see through it. My sight felt hazy and I blinked to clear the blurriness.

What do people want with me to kidnap me and chain me freaking up side down in a freaking dark room where the only source of light is that one tiny candle sitting in the far corner while the wind—which by the way I don't know where it came from—blew at it causing the flame to move around.

And that was one hell of a mind rant.

Suddenly, the flame dies down and I'm left in complete darkness. I groaned and moved around in the chains, hoping for Superman to save me with his heat vision. Or any other super power he has.

"This is so not cool and so unlady or ungentleman like of you to tie me upside down. I honestly don't know if you're a guy or a girl. But whoever you are, screw you and your stupid attempt of-"

"I guess annoyance runs in the Gilbert species."

A woman announces her voice as the metal doors clank open. The light behind her illuminates her shadow and I can tell she has short hair. That is literally the only description I caught.

"Plan on telling me your fascinating plan of kidnapping me?" I question, clenching my jaw. "Not really sure." I heard a bit of an accent as she took a closer step towards me.

I glanced at her upside down shadow figure and pursed my lips as my eyes began drooping in a hazy fall.

"Huh, you're passing out. You're lucky he asked me to check on you on the right timing. Y'know, incase you were dead or something." I open my mouth to suppress words but all that came out was a groan.

She walked to my passing out figure and knelt in front of me as she fumbled with the chains around my wrists. She pulled them out and did the same to my ankles, making me fall onto my stomach.

I groan and clutch my stomach as I felt my blood moving once again throughout my whole body. My naked feet were aching as I struggled up on the floor.

I patted down my dress, threw my hair over my shoulder, rubbed my eyes, and fixed a death glare on her the whole time.

She chuckled, "Are you threatening me with your eyes?"

"Oh, you haven't seen nothin'." I flashed my blue eyes at her and she smirked. "A werewo-"

"Werecoyote." I corrected as my eyes flashed back to my brown ones. "He was right, you aren't human." She muses, still smirking.

"Speaking about he. Who's he?"

"Your worst nightmare."

"And what does this worst nightmare want from me?"

"You're the doppelganger's twin sister."

"Please tell me you didn't kidnap her too."

"Oh, she's just two floors up."

"Does he have a name?"

"Elijah."

"Meh," I shrugged, "I predicted better. Like Jackson, or Michael, or David, maybe even Jared."

"Stop talking would you?" She grunted, crossing her arms. "Is Elijah a vampire?" I ask, curiously. "Stop with the questions." She groaned. "Why am I here? And what do you want with Elena?" I grumble, stomping my foot.

"There's another one."

"Just answer them would you?"

"Elijah is one of the vampires; the originals."

"The originals?"

"Again with the questions." She groans, "Haven't the Salvatores been teaching you the vampire history?"

"So you know Stefan and Damon?" The woman just nodded her head and I sighed, "I ask one last time, who are the originals?"

She just turned her back to me and I sighed, "Okay fine, but what do you want with Elena and I?"

"Your sister is the Petrova Doppelganger. She's the key to breaking the curse."

"The sun and the moon curse?"

"Oh, you do know your history."

"What do you mean Elena's the key? The damn moonstone is what breaks it."

"No, the moonstone is what binds the curse. The sacrifice is what breaks it."

"The sacrifice?"

"The blood of the doppelganger. Your sister is the doppelganger. Which means, in order to break the curse your sister's the one who has to die."

"Great, this is just great."

She walked over to me and grabbed my arm. "Come on, he's here." She says pulling me to the door but I stopped her. "I'm not leaving until you tell me why I'm here." I sneer, glaring at her. "Stubbornness also runs in your family."

"Spill."

She sighs, "I don't know much about you but I know that you're the experiment."

"The experiment?"

"Yeah, when they break the curse they'd experiment you to see if it actually worked."

"Wonderful," I chuckled humorlessly, "Take me to my sister unless you want to see me cry." She rolled her eyes, "That's where we're going."

I nod as she pulls me out of the cellar, up to the woods, into the house, up stairs until we stood in front of my pacing twin sister. Elena turned her head towards us and sighed in relief when she spotted me. "Stay with them and don't make a sound." The woman tells a guy before she walks away.

Elena rushes to me and wraps her arms around my neck, embracing me. "Are you okay?" She asks, glancing over at my body. From the frizzy hair, to the smudged mascara, to the smeared lipstick, to the ripped dress, and finally to my bare feet. "Other than being hung upside down, I'm okay. How about you?" I ask, glancing at her bloody shirt.

"I'm fine." She answers softly. "I'm sorry about lying to you yesterday and basically everything that happened yesterday. If only we knew you were tie-" I was cut off by the guy, "Quiet." He hisses as I feel a presence behind me.

Suddenly a man, I'm guessing Elijah, speeds to Elena and smells her neck. "Human. It's impossible. Hello there." I roll my eyes and step between him and Elena, "Hello there." Elijah narrows his eyes at me and turns to the woman. "Rose, who is she?" Oh, so her name is Rose.

"She's Emilia, the twin sister."

"Ah," Elijah sighs as he remembers. "The werewo-"

"Werecoyote." I correct, crossing my arms. Elijah glares at me before he grabs Elena's and I's arm. "We have a long journey head of us. We should be going." He comments and I grumble as he pulls us both. My gaze meet Elena's teary ones and my heart ached for her.

"One last piece of business and we're done." Elijah mutters, walking to the guy. "I've waited so long for this day, Elijah. I'm truly, very sorry." The guy apologizes, fear on his face. "Oh no, your apology's not necessary." Elijah replies, walking around the guy.

"Yes, yes it is. You trusted me with Katerina and I failed you." The guy insists. "Oh yes, you are the guilty one and Rose aided you because she was loyal to you and that now I honor. Where was your loyalty?" Elijah replied, standing in front of him.

"I beg your forgiveness." The guy begged. "So granted." Elijah nods and the guy smiles. But Elijah smacks his head clean off his body. My eyes widen as the head rolls in front of me and I scrunch my face up in disgust. Rose cries and struggles down the stairs as Elena gasps.

"You-" Rose begins but Elijah cuts her off, "Don't, Rose, now that you are free." Elijah then slides his hands in his suit pockets and looks at Elena and I. "Come." He orders. "No, what about the moonstone?" Elena asks and I groan.

"What do you know about the moonstone?" Elijah asks. "I know that you need it and I know where it is." Elena spills and I glare at her. "Yes?" Elijah urges her to continue and I give Elena the look to break it off. Nut she just ignores me.

"I can help you get it." Elena offers and I cry. "Tell me where it is." Elijah replies. "It doesn't work that way." Elena said. "Are you negotiating with me?" Elijah asks, raising an eyebrow. He then looks at Rose and she says, "It's the first I've heard of it."

Elijah turns to Elena and steps closer to her. I can see he's trying to compel her but it doesn't work, and his gaze falls to her vervain necklace and I clench my fist around my vervain ring. "What is this vervain doing around your neck?" He growls, pulling off the necklace and throws it away.

Elijah grabs her head and compels her. "Tell me where the moonstone is." He orders and I rush to stop him but Elena already answers. "In the tomb, underneath the church ruins."Elena informs. "What is it doing there?"

 "It's with Katherine."

"Interesting." Elijah muses just as the sound of glass breaking booms through the house. "What is that?" Elijah asks, looking at Rose. "I don't know." She answers, shrugging. "Who else is in this house?" He asks and she replies, "I don't know."

Elijah growls and grabs our arm once again, pulling us to another part of the house with Rose following. Suddenly, two figures move around us with super speed. I instantly recognize them as Stefan and Damon, and a small smile plays at my lips but I hid it.

Elijah throws Elena and I towards Rose as they continue speeding around us. "Rose." Elijah grumbles, looking at Rose. "I don't know who it is." Rose answers as I twine my fingers with Elena's. "Up here." Stefan's voice booms through the house and Elijah speeds up the stairs.

"Down here." Damon says before I was grabbed and slammed against the wall, the last I saw was a stake going through Elijah's hand. My eyes meet familiar blue ones and he presses his index finger on his lips, telling me to be quiet. His other hand is clamped on Rose's mouth and he gestures for her to be quiet.

I let out a shaky breath as Damon steps closer to me, his body pressed against mine. "Excuse me. To whom it may concern, you're making a great mistake if you think that you can beat me. You can't. Do you hear that?" Elijah's  threatening voice echoes through the house.

"I repeat, you cannot beat me. So I want both girl, I'm gonna count to three or heads will roll. Do we understand each other?"

"I'll come with you, just please don't take my sister and don't hurt my friends, they just wanted to help us out." I hear Elena's soft voice and my eyes widen. "What game are you playing with me?" I hear Elijah asking before an exploding sound causes my body to jump.

I hear tumbling down the stairs before Damon rushes away from me and I take a deep breath. I walk from around the corner just as I catch Damon staking Elijah. Damon growls and pushes him against the door, the stake sliding into the door. Elijah's face turns grey and all the blood is gone from his face as he's pinned to the door.

Damon then tries to follow Rose that left but I stop him. "Let her go." He nods and I smile thankfully at him. "Hey come here. Are you hurt? Are you okay?" I hear Stefan ask as Elena rushes to him. I catch Damon looking at them and I sigh, "Thank you."

"Your welcome." Damon replies, his gaze on me. I turn my head towards the dead Elijah and walk towards him. I stare at him for a little while before my face breaks into a victory smile. "You ain't messin' with us, brotha. We're the unstoppable." I throw my hands in the air and make an explosion sound.

Three chuckles laugh behind me and I turn to them. I smile at them and we pat each other on the back thankfully. We walk towards the door and step out, the warm sun hitting my face. I sigh in delight as Damon asks, "Hey, what happened to your shoes?"

"I got a pedicure."
